Some original elements/puzzles to the room which were clever. Host was great and stayed in character the whole time. Was lacking a wow factor and puzzles that flowed with the theme. Great location as the pub had a great selection of beers/drinks

immersive😨creepy

A good game with little scares throughout to keep you on your toes. A good range of puzzles from logic, practical, teamwork and communication. There is a fair amount of back and forth so don't be scared to go back into the first room. A good venue with an array of games to play.

A simple yet effective room where you can either find a way out as quickly as possible or try to solve every puzzle to become the new ruler of the kingdoms. The room can also be played as a versus room to heighten the suspense and pressure with both rooms in clear view of each other. A riddle heavy room so a puzzle minded players dream but practical players like my other half may not enjoy and feel overwhelmed. The room isn't that spacious so I would say teams no bigger than 4 people should be okay. We solved around 70% of the room before running out of time. Highly recommend this room for like-minded mental thinkers but practical players be prepared to only solve puzzles and not have much of a practical element. An extra 30 minute option is also available for those wanting to solve every puzzle.

Due to my escape partners hate of being scared in rooms after a traumatising experience in a catacombs, we played this room with no live scares but the room and themeing is brilliant at inducing a creepiness that I can imagine is intensified with the live scares. I think it's great that players have the option of the level of scare factor at point of purchase. Now this room is masterfully immersive in the fact it feels just like a cinema and the trailer introductions are amazing and creatively introduce the fear factor...plus some genius surprise effects! I feel the transition to the start of the game was lacking and a missed opportunity to utilise the great cinematography to link the film to the room. The darkness of the room is completely in theme and never at the detriment to completing the room. The darkness contributes to the scare factor and I can imagine a great opportunity for live scares. Another linear and padlock heavy room so again I wouldn't recommend big groups. The puzzles are mixed with teamwork, communication, logical deduction and skill. Unreached potential that could make this a stand out in the whole of Britain but still an excellent room!

The theme is good with circus games of skill linking to find codes (the room is padlock heavy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing). The room is linear and the split of the team helps to create a communication and teamwork ethic. I wouldn't recommend big groups due to the linear gameplay where some players may be found waiting on others or for a turn. The transition of the split could be better and in sync with the theme, such as using the evil clown antagonist for this. Plenty to get through and keep you busy. A lot of potential with this room/theme but it is a good, fun room! Found an offer on the website with a small discount of £10 off so £50 for this 90 minute room was a bargain!

We were testers for this room and it is a fun room and has a lot of potential. The set design is great, a simple room to start with a clever transition in to a beautiful Hook-esque Neverland. Not a room for puzzle hungry escapists with the puzzles being light and more active but perfect for family enjoyment

Walking on to the smokey cobbled streets of London for our briefing was a great introduction to the room and really immersed you into the theme. The set design was beautiful, you really can appreciate the effort put in to the room. The puzzles were fun, clever and there was plenty to with physical, teamwork and logic all utilised. An excellent room and looking forward to completing their other rooms

A very clever room especially with "only 60 seconds" to escape... Thankfully in this time machine, 60 seconds equates to 90 minutes. A unique take on the escape room with a faulty time machine to fix and ending up in different time locations. The puzzles were good and enough to keep you all busy. The only let down for me was the set design... Some may appreciate the fun side with cup holders redesigned in to a spaceship interior but with the effort some of the best rooms put in to their sets alongside their great puzzles and themes this is sadly missing to make this an outstanding room.

A lovely Christmas room that is family friendly with our youngest player being 10 years old with 2 teenagers who were all able to solve puzzles and enjoy the experience. The photo opportunity at the end is a fantastic touch too.

A great experience which immerses you in to a slightly different and more realistic prison break based more on practical tasks rather than solving puzzles for a code to padlocks. The GMs add to this experience and stay in character when checking in on their convicts and cell. A cleverly executed game with a fun end.

A 4 star room, let down by the company experience. The creepiness and scare factor are the best element of this room and it's executed cleverly with suggestive components. The lighting is used to good effect as well as non intrusive interaction with the room by the GM. The storyline and narration are used to good effect and builds the room towards it's climax. The puzzles are fitting with the theme but there was one that we never would've got without the clue/solution. We felt rushed through in terms of interaction with the staff and owner, my partner commenting that it felt more like a factory to churn players through. We weren't offered the standard team photo either. The personal touch for me is part of the experience and this was missing. A good room, just a shame there was no personal touch.

Is Carlsberg did openings to an escape room, this would be it... A simplistic riddle to get your brain ticking with a theatrical transition to enter the mine that will put a smile on every players face! The room design and themeing are  and immerses you in to your game. The puzzles will rack your brains, we were kicking ourselves at one particular element that we acted like escape room experts rather than seeing it for what it was but this was testament to the room and variety in puzzles. A little surprise added humour and a jump element to the room. The next transition was also clever and stayed on theme. The last puzzle wasn't as epic as vikings but overall an outstanding experience!

This single room game has everything and delivers the full escape experience... Amazing craftsmanship and immersive room design for the theme. Hints of humour such a well placed pun. Puzzles of pretty much every kind, logic, observation, communication and physical skill. The tech is flawless with only a single padlock and each solution triggering the next part of your game. The finale is epic and great fun. The hosts and owners were amazing with a family run business on a picturesque farm who we happily chatted to about escape rooms  In my top 5 rooms easily

Another great room from Compendium with immersive themeing and design. Starting in a padding room with the game expanding from there. A lot has been crammed in to a relatively small room which is clever and a testament to Alex and his partner for building a fun, challenging room in the space available. The puzzles may throw you off in terms of order but I felt that was part of the design and intensity to the escape. Will definitely be back to complete all the rooms

I don't think there are enough superlatives to explain the sheer enjoyment and challenge experienced with this room! The themeing and room design are impressive, with the puzzles sticking to this theme and ranging from logical, observational, skill, some teamwork and communication. This is not your normal escape room in terms of solving clues to gain an escape... The game is to solve puzzles to gain tokens and a chance to win keys to get as much of the loot as you can before finally escaping the submarine. The room is surprisingly huge and plenty to do without being linear to keep the whole party busy. And at £39 for a team of 2,unbelievable value which Alex was passionate about keeping low to ensure it was accessible for many to enjoy. Alex was also an outstanding host and a pleasure to chat to. This room and company are an absolute must for everyone to visit!

Great themeing and set design with a clever transition to the main room where the decor is fun and fits the storyline. The puzzles once again will test most skill sets from logic, observation, teamwork and communication. The best room at ClueQuest in my opinion, highly recommended

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

I'd say ClueQuest are the best escape rooms in Central London and will not disappoint. This room was fun and filled with puzzles of all types from logic, memory, skill, teamwork and communication. The storyline is immersive and it's clever how that basis is used through all their rooms.

There is an abundance of puzzles in this room and a good challenge (especially as a team of 2) with all types of skills needed as well as teamwork. A well thought out and engineered game with more rooms than expected. Some great elements also making this an excellent room

A stunningly aesthetic room which fully immerses you in to the story and game. Some great elements and one of the best surprises I've ever come across in a room. Although the puzzles are in theme, they do not match up to the standard of the room design. It's easy to get caught up in the wow factor the decor will instil in you...as that alone would score 5 stars. Overall this is an excellent room just lacking in puzzles

You can tell the Dark Master team take their room designs and themeing very seriously and they don't look cheap. This room is immersive and the theme and intro are humorous, making you start the game with a smile. The puzzles could be better and more varied in skill. Great tunnel, cleverly constructed and in sync with the room theme. Enjoyable

I actually thought this was better than Titanic. The puzzles are clever and flow with the rooms and transitions. A more difficult game than Titanic which makes it more satisfying to complete.

Another good room from EscapeKent with great themeing and set design. An abundance of puzzles that flow with the theme and small jumps here and there to add a creepy factor. Transition to rooms is accomplished well and the ending is fun.

The themeing and design here are great with so much achieved in a relatively small space. You are immersed in your exploring of a pirate ship with plenty of fun, engaging puzzles covering all types from logic to physical and teamwork. Games that make you work as a team are always enjoyable and this game has accomplished that. Another solid ending to leave satisfied

The themeing and design are simplistic yet effective here and fits in with the storyline of being held captive... Why would you have impressive decor? The transitions between rooms are flawless and clever. The puzzles match the room and there is enough to keep you busy. The ending is a clever idea that gives you a great sense of satisfaction and completes your escape. Great game

Amazing themeing and design, host fully in character and adds to this. You start split up which I always enjoy as teamwork and communication are key as well as all parties feeling involved in puzzle solving. Logic and observation are beneficial here. The elements in the room and props are fun and fit seemlessly with the storyline and theme. Excellent room and hosts

The owners and hosts at Hounds are amazing, welcoming and easy to get carried away talking to. The GM was in character from start to finish and added humour. The puzzles start off on a logical and straightforward style and progress in difficulty as you move through the room and teamwork is integrated. Fun elements are present also. Theme and design are great too. Excellent room and enjoyable

broken tech

We had a few mishaps with the room with a puzzle not reset and elements that once complete weren't activating. The theme and set are good but didn't transition that well between rooms. Not a room I would recommend

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

A simplistic room in terms of theme and design. The puzzles were good with plenty to do. An okay room with nothing to really take away as memorable or great moments

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!
immersive

The set and themeing are immersive and you start outside the house and have to gain entry to start. The puzzles were fitting with the theme although it would've been nice to have magic implemented in to the odd puzzle. A good game but no wow factor

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!
illogical

The game had some nice touches such as puzzles that required you to think outside the box when in your cell. But one element/task really annoyed me as we were told as part of the brief not to wake the guard and when we were stuck and asked for a clue we were told to make noise to wake the guard, this contradiction is frustrating and ruins the experience. Ending was a bit flat too

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

A good game and okay design. Won't be high in people's lists of rooms but not a bad game either.

This game was set in a plane shelter building which added to the theme and storyline. The host and owner was a fine chap and we enjoyed having a chat with him before the game started. The theme and design were immersive to the story. The puzzles were varied and logical. A good game and enjoyable

A journey with multiple rooms that was not expecting. You start in a dark room and make your way into well designed & themed rooms. The puzzles are logical and one particularly fun element requiring skill with hand eye coordination. Great hosts who were happy to chat about escape rooms as a whole

I really liked the integration of magic tricks as puzzles that compliments the room and story. There are plenty of puzzles to get through which made this an intense game but it was clever, original and fun.

A well designed and themed room that will immerse you in to a jungle with a lovely calming water feautre. The puzzles are varied with observational, logic and searching. The hosts complete the experience as they are genuine and easy to chat to

TimeQuest are a great company and hosts with great games. This game is a logical/observational players preference and as that type of player I did enjoy this room. The tech puzzles are clever and there is plenty to keep you engaged and busy.

unoriginaldisappointing

The website does a good job selling the company and rooms but the experience is disappointing. The room themeing is good but the puzzles are unoriginal and the ending leaves you deflated rather than the clever twist it's intended to be.

A fun, clever room that is enjoyable. The owners are amazing hosts and enthusiasts who were happy to chat and not rush you through. The game is well designed and themeing is part of the fun.

A good game for interaction and different from the usual escape room. It felt like the interaction is a way to lengthen gameplay as ultimately the puzzles/tasks are fairly easy to complete. A fun game and something different.

I have a lot of time and appreciation for owners who chat with guests and share their own experiences and Michael is in this category. Being in a hop farm building, the shape of the room was great for the theme and designing of the room, which did immerse you in your quest at Camelot. The puzzles require teamwork and decent scavaging. An enjoyable room and hosts

You start handcuffed to a rail and head covered... Once you can see the theme is simplistic but effective to immerse you in to the killer's test of life or death. The puzzles aren't linear so your team will plenty to do and solve. The final part is a clever transition and good ending to the game.

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

The owners and staff are great at Mythologic and are passionate about escape rooms, spending time to chat with you when you arrive. The theme and design are good and you do feel like you're in a creepy atmosphere. The GM does a good job with periodic scares that will make you jump but this isn't over the top or excessive and adds humour and suspense. The puzzles are the weaker part of the room which is a shame but still enjoyable
Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!
original

Not a bad attempt to immerse players into the world of Fast & Furious. The theme and design of the garag are good and brings you in to the storyline. The clue system I wasn't a fan of and we had technical problems with some elements of the room. The remote control car puzzle is original but feels more of a gimmick. A good room but lacking in substance

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

After the delight that was Inbound, this game was a step backwards and I was stunned to think the same people made the two rooms. This shouldn't deter people from Escape Hub though, just this game

This game is surprising big once you get through the first room and enter an authentic design of a street during a world war with multiple buildings/rooms to work through. The game isn't strictly linear so you can work separately whilst also needing teamwork on some puzzles. The set design and themeing are great and the puzzles match the room well. Great game

Team size: 2 Outcome: Successful escape!

The fact you're in an original historic room used for comms during the war is such an immersive experience and the room is masterfully and cleverly contructed due to it being a listed building. The GM was a great host and spent time talking about the construction after the game. The puzzles were appropriate to the theme and room with logic and teamwork being at the forefront. The room is fun, clever and enjoyable.

I NEED more versus rooms! This is the only versus room I've played and it amazing! You can probably guess I was on the winning team :) I loved the thrill of going head to head with another team and the indicator in the room showing the progress of the other team was a great touch to increase the intensity and fun. The room was immersive barring a few parts such as looking out the porthole to a wall, but the inside of the room was good. The puzzles were mixed with differing levels of difficulty. And as the winning team you get the added feature of escaping the submarine, a nice little touch which could be expanded on.

The GM was great and straight in to character as a strict teacher with a few quick telling offs, this and the old style school room fully immerses you in to the theme and has a great nostalgic feel with elements like the projector. The clue system was also clever with a good theme tune. Lots of fun to be had and a good mix of puzzles which stick to the theme and fit different lesson types.
