Neither here nor there really, some ridiculously easy puzzles and some very difficult puzzles.

Padlock heaven! Escape Quest delivers again, this time with a side of Christmas cheer. Fantastic room with some great puzzles, although I do think this was the easiest of the instalments. Hosting impeccable as always - every experience here always is very personable and you truly feel valued. Please support this company and play every room they’ve got!

Always dubious of ‘tech-driven’ games and this was no exception, tech sadly was broken a couple of times throughout the game but the host managed this very well. Imogen was a fantastic games master - an asset to the team. A few puzzles a tad illogical and most of them lacking a bit of depth. Sadly not up to the standard I would expect from Cave Escape but nonetheless an okay room.

As expected from Extremescape, great theming and mechanisms - you would never think the room is as old as it actually is! Puzzle progression a bit more difficult in this game, lots of head scratching and uncertainty (open your eyes more!). Good game and will be enjoyed by any and all!

Absolutely brilliant - mechanics in the room are great and really add to the experience. Be ready for several wow moments! Puzzles are good and love the theming. Progression in the room sometimes not obvious but all part of the challenge. Hint giving could sometimes be less obvious. Don’t miss this room!

Theming and hosting was incredible - great plot.  Some novel padlocks and mechanical elements which were really nice to see. Puzzles were good too. If I had to nitpick I would say that a live actor warning should be explicitly displayed on website as I am a total wuss and hate anything horror-based - nevertheless still really enjoyed the atmosphere! Accessibility also potentially an issue for some - crawling required and some heavy lifting/lifting at height necessary. Be careful as potential for trips and slips quite high as the room does get quite chaotic. Highly recommend!

A no-frills escape experience but definitely one for the padlock-lover. Non-linear room with a few clever puzzles - overall a great time albeit if a bit basic in theming/decor. Worth a shot if you’re in the area!

Chaplegate Mysteries returned with its third instalment - House of Illusion. Overall a very successful room and is buckets of fun. Puzzles are very intuitive and definitely a challenge for enthusiasts. Theming and immersion is spectacular, although I felt a certain je ne sais quoi was missing compared to their other two experiences. Regardless, support this incredible business as this is not one to miss! 

The true star of Cluefinders, Remy's room was a great, if not somewhat linear, experience. Space is large and fun to play in with good décor throughout. Very heavy on searching so maybe not one for those who prefer puzzles or lack observation skills. Overall a really fun experience.

Some clever puzzles in this room but ultimately nothing ground-breaking. Theming is nice. Host was absolutely fantastic, very enthusiastic and attentive to teams. Worth a play but beware of low ceilings if you are a tall player!

Unbelievable - truly an experience like no other! Hosting is next level and really adds to the experience. Puzzles are logical and well thought out, with a few things I’d never seen before. Great decor which definitely adds to the magic. Do not miss this!

Definitely a push for a team of 2, Spellbound is truly a puzzle delight. Theming is great and there is no shortage of things to do - split up and crack on! A great room and definitely not one to miss when in Derby. Slightly let down by the lack of ambient music but this is a very easy fix and would elevate the game significantly.

Dystopia is my favourite room from Make Your Escape. Some very interesting puzzles and great theming. No ambient music which was slightly jarring and spoiled immersion slightly but definitely worth a play.

Utopia is the sister room of Dystopia and is a complete 180 both in theming and puzzle approach. If you love tech, screens and buttons, you will love this room. Not my favourite room but some clever puzzles and all tech worked well (a miracle in itself!). Similar to all the other rooms, there was no ambient music - very strange.

Marketed as a suitable game for entry-level players, The Signal is also good for more experienced players. Some interesting puzzles but overall nothing that will stump the pros. Very strange choice to have no ambient music playing during the game - other reviews have mentioned it so maybe the system was broken. Shame as immersion was broken as could hear outside noises, staff members talking in control room etc… Overall, worth a go!

A good room for a bit of festive cheer. Nice to have a main quest and an additional quest. Games master welcoming and very friendly.

The first game in the Chapelgate Mysteries series does not disappoint! An absolute puzzle heaven inside, so much to do that it’s overwhelming but in the best possible way. Decor is brilliant, with a lot of stuff made in-house, creates a really immersive environment. Story is excellent, hosting even better. This will not disappoint!

Absolutely incredible - truly a passion project. Right from the start, the experience was incredible. Hosts was fantastic, set design impeccable and no shortage of puzzles. This may be the best escape room in the UK - you must play this!

Although a common theme amongst escape rooms, a good attempt is made to bring creative puzzles and story immersion. I personally found the room a little too dark and it made it impossible to see/read locks and codes at times - perhaps hiding a torch within the room for use would be good. Fear factor was also good - definitely worth a play alongside their two other stellar games!

Unmissable if you are in Seoul. The room is decked out with loads of tech, the puzzles are well done and great physicality to the rooms - really dynamic!

A fantastic room with great theming, decoration and immersion. Great puzzles and great hosting - Brett and the team should be very proud!

The newest room at Rush Hour did not disappoint! The theming is well-done and had a great mix of physical and mental puzzles. Definitely a must play for all gaming fans.

This being branded as an escape room experience is very, very misleading. May be suitable for young children who are into spells and magic but ultimately very tedious, story is boring and no real challenge or escape room elements that we know and love.

Sadly multiple pieces of broken equipment and tech dampened this experience - also not as fun at all if there is no other team playing in the other head-to-head room!

A fairly common theme but the story takes an interesting turn. Clue system is very inventive and the theming, whilst initially sparse and uninspiring, is done well overall. Some good puzzles (if not a tad frustrating) and great logic/flow.
