Just another day living on the farm out on the Pontefract prairie land. The weathers changing, you and Toto are caught up in a cyclone that deposits you and the farmhouse into the magical land of Oz.

Enjoyable room with some great set pieces and tech elements. Bit too much reading in parts and the cover host was poor.

Right from the start, Chris, our Games Master, made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly friendly and chatty, instantly putting us at ease and getting us excited for the adventure ahead. His enthusiasm and knowledge about escape rooms were great, and he had a knack for making everyone feel welcome.
The escape room itself was something out of a dream. The detail in the design was astonishingโyou could tell that significant resources were invested in creating this immersive experience. Every prop, every puzzle, and every inch of the room was carefully crafted to transport you into the magical world of Oz. It felt like stepping into the movie, with surprises and thematic elements that kept us captivated from start to finish.
The puzzles were challenging but fair, with a great mix of logic, observation, and teamwork required to solve them. We appreciated that the room was designed to be enjoyed by both experienced escapers and those new to escape rooms. The balance between solving puzzles and immersing yourself in the storyline was perfect, creating an experience that was as much about the journey as it was about escaping.
Chris was attentive and supportive throughout the experience, offering just the right amount of guidance when needed without giving too much away. It was clear that he genuinely enjoys his role, and his positive energy added to the overall fun of the escape room.
We highly recommend this Wizard of Oz-themed escape room at Enigma. It's one of the best we've ever done, and we're already planning our next visit to Enigma. If you're looking for an escape room that will leave you talking about it for days, this is the one!

Beautifully themed room let down by simplistic puzzles although this may be a product of the family-friendly nature of the room. Worth ticking off if you happen to be in the area.

Escape from Oz is a beautiful escape room, and I'm only giving it 4/5 because it's not quite up there with the best games in the area, but it's still one that should be on your must-play list. The first area is very authentic, and a little bit of nice tech to add to the atmosphere. slightly further along I do think one point is extremely realistic/immersive and I really give top marks to whoever designed that. Unfortunately I think it's probably in the puzzle area that it could do with a little more thought. most of them it's fairly obvious what to do, and there aren't many moments where you're really struggling to work out what to do next or getting a really satisfying 'AHA!' moment (but it's a good game for those who like reading and counting). There are a lot of puzzles so it still takes up the time, but I didn't feel like it was a major brain teaser overall. (However looking at instagram perhaps i'm wrong because a lot of bigger teams didn't manage to escape, so it may just be down to the individual and what they can spot.) The harder puzzles were in the final area, and we did need a little clue or two to just get through the final section and escape. The story could be slightly better too, as if you hadn't seen the film you might not really know why you're finding certain things in the last section of the game. It starts off really immersive but feels like it should be a 2 hour room with more sections to really fulfil the fantasy. And this is me being really picky, because I can see a lot of love has gone into it and lots of people will enjoy it. Maybe a 'part 2' would be something to consider one day. The hosting was really good, and if I could suggest one area of improvement it would be to have a countdown/clue system in the later areas. Going back every time was a bit of a pain and clock drainer.

This room was very well done and beautiful. The puzzles were great and original. Found a couple tricky to follow - in particular the last puzzle we had found a method that was logically valid and got correct/possible answers but didn't work and we were supposed to do it another way. Besides that element, the room and the host was fantastic. We'll revisit to do any future rooms at this venue for sure.

Another amazing room by Enigma! So immersive, lots of great puzzles, and brilliantly themed on Wizard of Oz, it really felt like we were off to see the wizard himself. A great variety of puzzles throughout the room, this is another must do for anyone who appreciates a truly immersive experience. Our host, Emma, was incredibly friendly and made us feel really welcome at the room, she was one of the best hosts we've had to date! Thanks again Enigma for another brilliant experience.
