We were torn on this room. I loved it and my teammate was rather non plussed. It is a bit different to the styles of the other room.and we played it just before it was retired but I really enjoyed it
Fun game. Didn't appreciate the hosting it felt rude rather than welcoming. Very different to previous experiences at the venue. The set in the last room was gorgeous but we didn't get to spend much time in it which was disappointing as it felt the best of all the sections to us.
This game was so much fun. We loved everything about it. Our favourite room at the venue and in our top 3 game list in the current standing. Well themed. Well paced. Interesting tech
Really lovely game. Good host. Colourful family friendly set. Quite physical and not very accessible. Fun puzzles. Everything in the room is there for a reason.
Besides the grand theatrical set pieces, there are lots of beautiful small moments of personalisation and attention to detail. There are also puzzles, but you won't have much opportunity to concentrate on them quietly and diligently, so if you're a puzzle nerd, this game may not be for you.
But, it's undeniably joyful and funny, and if you let yourself be swept along by the whirlwind of bonkersness, you'll come out smiling. If a little dazed.
Wow! I don't give out the full 5 stars very often but this room deserves every one of them.
This isnt just an escape room, this is a complete experience from start to finish. It really raises the bar for rooms in the UK and I hope more places follow suit because I didn't want this to end. I was sceptical when I heard that it was more like an international standard room than the style weve come to know in the UK, but its true.
The theming, the hosting, the puzzles, the humour, the magic and the many, many incredible twists, turns and surprises make this a must-do room for enthusiasts and families alike!
It's no secret that there are actors in this room, and I'm someone who is always quite anxious and apprehensive of that, but they were fantastic. The humour and the improv was amazing and made for a truely magical experience. Don't be put off by having them in the room, join in, have fun and you wont regret it.
This is now my favourite UK room! Book it now!
A game that took me by surprise.
I thought I knew what I was getting myself in for but I was wrong. The set is both beautiful and theatrical, at points I felt I was in a Disney movie but there had been a new CEO and they decided they wanted to try a different direction. My partner is really outgoing and I am a little introverted so I found some of the expectations to join in in certain ways a little confronting at first but once I relaxed and got over myself I had so much fun. Be prepared to be silly and to laugh, the layering of the humour was brilliant. I found the puzzles varied and a nice mix of physicality and brain workout. It would be great for a family but was fun for the two of us. You can teel the team are passionate about this game and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it too because of their approach. I do love all the games we have done at this venue and the new addition doesn’t disappoint.
There’s nothing quite like this in the UK, and the scale of the ambition is genuinely impressive. If you go in expecting a light-hearted, entertaining experience rather than a deeply immersive one, you’ll probably have a great time. It’s particularly well suited to families, hen parties, and larger social groups.
That said, I felt it lacked a degree of subtlety. Some of the puzzles became repetitive, and the overall experience felt slightly unfinished. We never fully lost ourselves in the world that was being created. The lighting rig is highly visible in the main space, and its movement often felt more reminiscent of a roller disco than an Arabian bazaar. As a result, the atmosphere occasionally felt closer to a TERPECA-style escape room designed by Butlins than the richly immersive environment it seemed to be aiming for.
We had an absolutely brilliant time at Xscape Room playing Sultan’s Secret – Grand Edition. The room was incredibly well designed, with so much attention to detail and a really immersive atmosphere that made us feel like we had stepped into the world of Agrabahan.
The puzzles were clever, engaging, and really enjoyable to work through as a team. You can tell a huge amount of thought and creativity has gone into every part of the experience. The whole adventure was exciting from start to finish, and the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Thank you for such a fantastic experience — we’ll definitely be back to try another room and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unforgettable escape room!
Really enjoyed this one, especially the last room! Very immersive!
This room was great, loved the getting in the box part!
This one was one of my favourites, especially the screaming aspect!
Enjoyed this one. Feels like you’re actually in wonderland!
Probably my least favourite of all the rooms at XscapeNow, just not a massive fan of the theme. Didn’t find it very exciting but still enjoyed it
Played twice over the last few years! Great storytelling and feels like you really step into Oz!
Loved the theming, especially the last room!
We've done every escape room at this place, some we've done twice! We were so excited to try the new Sultan's Secret room, especially because of the new immersive aspect with live actors and so much more. I had high expectations, but these guys EXCEEDED them! Victor and Dan were both incredible, we genuinely felt like we'd been transported to another world. (Without giving anything away, you'll think you've had the best time and then the finale happens - OMG OMG OMG IT'S SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!)
It's definitely one of those things where you get back what you put in. Make sure to go along with the story and have a laugh and you'll make the experience even better for yourself.
I want to do it all over again! This room was just magnificent. Congratulations to the whole team for one of our
favourite things we've ever done as a family!
We can't wait to try the rooms in Shrewsbury next! See you soon!
An absolutely incredible experience! Not like a traditional escape room, but that is by no means a negative thing. The Sultans Secret is a transformative and immersive experience. The live actors are absolutely brilliant and help you feel like you’re really in a bazaar! The passion of the designers and workers at xscape Telford is clear to all who partake on this room. Amazing!
I have only seen games start from the moment you arrive in Europe, and this was handled well by XscapeNow.
From before the game starts, the immersion and intrigue start. It should be no surprise that there are actors in this game. It's my opinion that they make the game.
Varied puzzles, great sound track, amazing lighting, and hosts that make this experience truly memorable and enjoyable.
Fair warning, this one has live actors, and it’s full-on. The bazaar setting is immersive from the second you walk in, the actors are brilliant, and the ending genuinely got a reaction from our whole group. Not for the faint-hearted enthusiast, but exactly what the scene needs more of.
Where do I start. The set alone is worth the price, every detail has been thought about, nothing feels thrown together. The lighting and soundtrack pull you straight into the world from the moment you walk in and don't let go.
The actors are brilliant. Genuinely brilliant. They elevate the whole experience in a way that most rooms just can't compete with.
And the ending? Easily one of the best finales we've had in any room. Won't spoil it, just trust me.
If you're a seasoned player looking for something that actually delivers on atmosphere and experience, this is it. One of the best we've played. Full stop.
A proper classic done well. Strong theming, logical puzzles that actually make you think, and a couple of moments that genuinely caught us off guard. Nothing overly gimmicky just solid, satisfying design from start to finish. Great fun, Highly recommend.
We don't usually agree on a night out, mI'm obsessed with escape rooms, my wife tolerates them at best. Sultan's Secret changed everything. She was laughing, fully in it, completely swept up in something she'd normally be counting down the minutes to leave. It's just so wildly different to anything we've done before, theatrical, immersive, and genuinely surprising at every turn.
As someone who's done escape rooms all over the country, I was still caught off guard. It doesn't feel like a puzzle in a box. It feels like you've walked into another world. Honestly one of the best experiences we've had together. If your partner hates escape rooms, bring them here first this is the one that converts people.
Not sure what to say! The game is ridiculous in the best possible way. Immersive theatre meets escape room. The theming is superb. Lighting and effects used throughout. The live actors are great at keeping the story narrative flowing. Puzzles are solid which in these types of games can sometimes let them down but not here. The ending is possibly the best to any game we have played -like something from Disney. I fully expect this to rank in TERPECA. A must visit.
Absolutely outstanding game. So clever and so much fun. The ending is insane. Loved it!
I don’t even know how to describe this, it’s not really an escape room, it’s something else entirely. From the moment you walk in you’re in a completely different world. Beautifully designed, cleverly put together, and genuinely unlike anything I’ve ever done. It gave me proper Disney vibes. I was blown away from start to finish. Just go. You’ll understand when you get there.
Don’t expect to go escaping in the quickest time possible, enjoy the ‘experience’ and embrace it.
Loved the use of space in this game, along with the special effects and lighting.
What a truly unmissable, superb game! Live actors, multi level, highly immersive set. Smoke, scents, lights - an experience like nothing I have ever tried and certainly the best room I have done.
Light on puzzles for an enthusiast but the entire experience was worth it, and I already want to play again.
What a great event. the planning and story behind this was great. the human interation piece with live characters really absorbed you in to the game. really reccomend this for everyone.
Great game with a good story to it bit different
Starting off in a shrinking machine and heading in to brain of the author
Some very good puzzles in the first room related to the brains senses
Than moving in to a more tradition wacky Alice in wonderland themed room
Very enjoyable and fun
Great hosts very recommend
This was are very first escape room so did not know what to expect but we loved it and could not have asked for a better experience
From the great hosts to how fun it was to play though lots to do with a nice selection of puzzles and games with a great ending
Also it was a beautiful room
Highly recommended
This escape room was pure joy! This room stays very true to the original story of OZ, as a fan of the source material is was great seeing it being brought to life, with little nods to the original film in the set, like the witches feet poking from under the house. There was also a large variety of puzzles which was great to get you thinking outside the box. There is some physical activity involved including some small spaces (not dark), so might not be for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed this room and would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and quick game!
We had a technical issue but it was so well handled by the team! Loved the game.
Player this game as a team of 2 and it was non stop. It was so much fun, the set was great it was probably the most immersive game we have played. Its hard to fit everything in but we'll worth it
Fun take on an Alice in wonderland room, fun creative puzzles. We enjoyed it a lot!
An incredible room with lots of amazing features and beautiful set design. Would HIGHLY recommend!! Loved every second of it!!
Played this game in testing and had such a lot of fun! The game starts quite easy and gets harder throughout, which can lead you into a false sense of security - which adds to the fun and pressure towards the end of the game. As we played it in testing and we were a two, we had an extra ten minutes and identified 5 ships in total.
Some changes have since been made which I think has improved the game/signposted some puzzles better, but it’s definitely more suitable for experienced twos or larger groups as there’s so much to do!
An exceptional room with many features. Lots of varied puzzles of all types creative directions, seamless technology. Really cannot fault it. Hosting was absolutely excellent as well.
An extremely fun high tech room, the concept was creative and brilliantly executed. An immersive and awesome experience, would highly recommend for all!
Fun concept with a great range of puzzles that we’re all in-keeping with the theme. Nice to relive the childhood game (and sink all the battleships this time!)
Lovely game with so many creative ideas and spins on some classic ideas. Great to see an Alice room done differently.
Ah I loved this so much. From the clever puzzles to the decor to the immersion it really hit the spot on all counts. And the opportunity to dress up always gets a thumbs up from me lol. A brilliant room.
I do love a good step into someone else's brain and not only did we have a lovely collection of puzzles to solve but a jolly time doing it! Lovely touches and variety made this a most enjoyable game.
Such a huge and exciting room with a nice mix of physical and thinking puzzles
All the rooms we did here were fantastic and it was hard to choose a favourite. This one stands out for its unique and inventive premise. A great take on the classic Battleships format. Jam-packed with puzzles for a team of 2. Great flow and use of space - exiting the room at the end is a bit dizzying when you see how you’ve moved around the building relative to where you entered! Very entertaining.
You sunk my battleship…
This one is certainly the best we played at this venue. Great flow, logical puzzles and the right amount of tension. The end game scoring system is very clever and unique. Love how it tied in to the theme. Definitely worth playing.
If I only had a brain… that’s what it felt like in this room. For the beauty, whimsical, and colour - high marks. For the signposting of puzzle locks and sound quality, it fell a little flat (just like the wicked witch).
Family friendly cowboy adventure. It flowed well, fun touches but showing its age. Could have had greater immersion in sound and window visuals.
Battleships was our 5th room of the day here and it was a great room to end on! A great twist on the classic board game and a brilliantly immersive room. The themeing is fantastic, the room designs are wonderful and the use of audio is perfect. As with the other rooms here, everything in these rooms is there for a reason and it really makes you question everything you see. The puzzles are brilliant - theres such a wide variety of original puzzles that are all perfectly themed and continue the immersion. The tech is used in all the right ways and is well-maintained - everything was working perfectly and felt necessary to the story. The room progression felt very natural, flowed wonderfully and you really feel the tension build as you work towards to end-goal.
A great addition to the room collection here! Well worth a visit.
This was our first Wizard of Oz themed room and I must say it was a fun theme for a room. The initial room was cleverly done and the transition was wonderful. I think this room would be fantastic for families with younger children. There are some very physical elements with crawling and climbing around tight spaces, that for a group of 4 adults was exhausting but fun. However if you dont have somone in your group able to do this then you may have issues here.
The room was bright and colourful but other than the walls and around the edges it felt a bit lacking in set dressing compared to their other rooms. There were lots of fun elements and unique puzzles to keep you busy but they were all fairly easy. We were only really held back by our lack of observation and not noticing a fairly obvious padlock. So although we still enjoyed this room, I feel we really werent their target audience - a family or a younger group would absolutely love this!
This was the first of 5 rooms here which we completed in a day, and I have to say it was my favourite. What a great room! We always love a western theme and this one didn't fail to deliver.
The room is beautifully built and immersive throughout, with the room progression always feeling like you're moving through a real train. There's so much to this room that we were always surprised and excited when more came along, and even so, we didn't want it to end.
There's a wonderful mixture of physical and mental puzzles combined into the perfect balance of linear and non-linear puzzles in a way that I believe would suit all sorts of teams.
We didn't find any sticking points, everything made perfect sense and all elements were working perfectly. The GM was amazing and really set the scene and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered the premises.
A great room - highly recommend.
A great take on an Alice in Wonderland room - refreshing to see it done differently to every other Alice room. It was fun and colourful with varied puzzles and lots going on. It kept the chaotic feel of Alice rooms but whilst making complete sense and at all times feeling logical. The whole room is fairly non-linear and we automatically split into 2 pairs for the majority of the room, so thankfully they were happy to give us a walk through afterwards so we could see what the other pair was up to.
I personally feel that this is the weaker of the 5 rooms we did here, but other team members ranked it slightly higher so it's all down to personal opinion. Though whilst I say this - it isnt at all a weak room, the rooms here are just all so fantastic!
Out of the 5 rooms here that we did throughout the day this was the room that I personally feel had less of a nice flow throughout. Now that is no fault of the room, but more that this is their most linear room and our team works best when we can multi-task, so there were a lot more moments where I felt a bit lost, just waiting for other members to solve puzzles. This room also felt a lot smaller and stuffier than the others so I wouldn't want to have more than 4 people in there. That said, this was still a great room! There were lots of puzzles that felt very unique and varied, with a nice mixture of lock types. Everything was very logical, and yet again the only reason we were stuck for a while was due to a lack of observation on our part, the puzzles were all fairly straightforward and very well themed, with just enough signposting to keep you going. All of the rooms here are very good at using their space and everything is there for a reason! No red herrings here, which we love.
Overall, a great little room which a good story and lovely variety of puzzles.
Having played most of the XscapeNow games, I am surprised this one slipped by.
Runaway Train is a fantastic room with fun progression, great signposting, and a brilliant set.
It also has to be noted that the entire set was immaculate. This game has been running for multiple years and it felt like we were the first group to walk through the door. This combined with some great props and clever puzzles made it a very strong room.
Another great room from XscapeNow. Wow so much to do. Great variety of puzzles. Fantastic ending. Great hosting as usual. Highly recommended.
Just fabulous. Great use of the space, great hosting and superb, logical puzzles. Enjoyed it so much and will be back for the other games. Very deserving of the awards and great reviews
Fun room, with some really cool puzzles to solve!
Great room, love the idea of turning Battleships into an escape room!
Wow — puzzles galore! Another brilliantly designed passion project from XscapeNow that really showcases their love for the craft.
There’s so much to do in this room, and the variety of puzzles is fantastic, especially well-suited for larger teams. We were constantly engaged, with loads of fun, hi-tech surprises woven throughout the experience. Plenty to keep your toes right to the end, and a few fun moments that I thought were nice and unique.
Fantastic hosting, the perfect balance between keeping us challenged and nudging us just enough to keep the momentum going.
An absolute must-play if you're in the area (in fact, make a day of it — every room’s fantastic. Deal with the financial consequences later, it’s money well spent).
Another fantastic room from Xscape Now. Really, really enjoyed this room. Played as a team of 3. Plenty to do. Would be great for slightly bigger teams. Great hosting as always. Will be back soon to try their latest room.
Lots to do and a good variety of puzzles with smart solutions, none too tricky but all good fun to work out. And a lovely endgame!
There are some quite original puzzles in this game and nothing unfair, and it's a great space - moving linearly along the train and gradually opening up the whole space is such a cool concept. Highly recommended.
Another great room from XscapeNow. This is now our 3rd room here and it's just consistently great. Not our first wonderland themed room but this one was definitely unique in a crowded theme. We thoroughly enjoyed it and both Richard and Michelle were lovely, the friendly staff at this venue just add to the fab rooms to make it a top choice destination. We changed our plans for the day to fit in this extra room before we moved on to our next destination. Thanks XscapeNow, we will be back as soon as we can!
We loved this room, our second at this venue. The room was excellent, really well set up and laid out. Lots to do without being cluttered or cramped and we always prefer the less linear rooms as it suits our style of puzzling better.
Our host, Olivia really made the experience special, she was warm and friendly, and happy to chat about the rooms, definitely 5 stars to her!
Another excellent instalment from the XscapeNow Team!!
We are usually a bit dubious about Christmas rooms, as they can often feel thrown together with not a lot of thought put into the puzzles or the story. But fortunately, this room does not fall into that category!!
With a fabulous mix of puzzles to suit every type of 'escaper', this room kept us busy throughout! The puzzles were well thought out and cleverly executed, allowing for a very good flow to the room. We would definitely recommend this room for larger groups of mixed ages or smaller groups of enthusiasts, as there is a lot to do and certainly something for everybody.
Excellent work XscapeNow team, looking forward to the next instalment!
This game was a really unique take on what is a very common theme for escape rooms.
Of course there were some really unique puzzles which is to be expected from XscapeNow. The room design itself was really great fun and kept us guessing for what would come next.
Fantastic room with a brilliant set and lots of unique elements which kept us on our toes.
I really enjoyed the theme of this room and the set itself is really impressive! As for all XscapeNow games our host was excellent and chimed in at just the right moments to keep the game flowing nicely for us.
It's a lovely, festive, inventive Christmas room in a superb escape establishment; there was plenty to keep us occupied and we had a very enjoyable time decorating the tree for Santa. Solid puzzles in here and a few quirky ones that we particularly liked.
A really strong room from XscapeNow, a nice variation of puzzles that allowed each of our group members to find their strengths. Without going into spoilers there was also some clever interactions between the two rooms which I appreciated. There are an awful lot of great rooms at this venue and while I personally preferred the themes of their others that doesn't take away from this being a unique and really enjoyable room.
This shot to the top of my list as my favorite game of all time, you will be amazed at how huge it is
This room is one of the best rooms I have played so much to do and lots of fun, Xscapenow never fail to deliver
Love all the rooms at xescapenow.
Very original theme, really satisfying puzzles and just the right amount of difficulty for us.
Would rate this a must visit if you're in the area.
What a great Christmas room
A great take on a classic theme. Loved the layout of this game and how it helped with the immersion. Great variety of puzzles and a satisfying ending (although could’ve been amped up a bit!)
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Loved all of the nods to the film and the sheer joy in discovering parts of the game. Puzzles were good and varied and were quite tricky in places too
My thoughts quickly turned to imagining an overstretched games master looking after multiple rooms, not watching games and delivering late generic hints about things we've already done. We've all seen it at usual suspects.
How wrong could I be. Our host was super friendly, enthusiastic and keen to talk all things escape rooms. The twice we asked for clues he immediately responded with a clue specific to our game. He must have anticipated the question and was ready to send - itbnakes me wonder what else he typed thatbwe didnt need. Unlike other gamesmasters we have had, he didn't overstep the mark and jump.in with clues, spoiling the 'ah ha moments' but the one time we had the right clue but just didn't press the button on the lock he jumped in to stop.us wasting time and spoiling our fun.
The game itself was huge, spread over multiple train carriages and featuring so.many styles of puzzle. Everything from real thinking puzzles to a really fun skill based puzzle easy enough so it won't ruin your game but tricky enough to make you feel good about yourself after succeeding.
The set was very immersive and you felt like you on a train rushing though the wild west the whole time.
Reviews persuaded us to make a detour on our trip to Birmingham and I am so glad we did. Next time we are in the area we will 100% be back to do more.
A fun game with lots of puzzles. We thought we were doing great (haha how wrong we were!) and then had a manic but fun rush to get out in time!
Highly recommend if you're after a variety of puzzles and an atmospheric room. Really enjoyable and rewarding! Amazing rooms in this venue ❤️
Xscape Now's Runaway Train is an absolute locomotive of fun! This is our top pick in Telford. The endless carriages of puzzles are packed with clever challenges, and traditional lock puzzles are given a fresh coat of paint, making every puzzle rewarding. The immersive atmosphere, complete with quality props and decor, enhances the experience. All aboard for an unforgettable escape room adventure!
Xscape Now's Sweeney Todd is a well-crafted escape room that delivers a satisfying puzzle-solving experience. The room is heavily focused on padlock-based challenges, which are presented in a variety of clever and engaging ways. The puzzles are plentiful and maintain a good pace, ensuring that players remain mentally stimulated throughout. Callum's hosting was exceptional, adding to the overall enjoyment of the game.
Excellent game with unique puzzles, would thoroughly recommend. Lots of thought went into creating this one! We loved it.
Played with two escape room newbies.
Lots to do, lots of fun.
When you’ve played almost 200 rooms it’s refreshing to find puzzles you hadn’t done before and this room had a few of them! We had great fun working our way through the runaway train and it was really on theme. A great host too and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
As delightfully scrumptious as a kitsch afternoon tea, this is a lovely take on the Lewis Carroll tale. Everything in here is so pretty and the puzzles test a whole hatful of skills. Attention to detail is absolutely spot-on in here and the puzzles match up to the gorgeous decor.
We loved the varied gameplay that alternated between linear and non-linear and we particularly enjoyed the creativity of the puzzles.
Lovely hosting here, as always.
Oz is emerging as the jewel in the crown here at Xscape Now, which is an impressive feat, considering the high-quality of their other rooms. It's a glorious, shining ruby of an adventure with so many cute nods to the story of The Wizard of Oz and a plethora of puzzles that vary in difficulty.
It says a lot about a room when you forget the outside world and are completely immersed in the world you are in; Oz delivers just this. It's a magical adventure created with love, creativity and a zeal for puzzles.
Wish I could go back in and do it again.
A corker of a room that just keeps on going! So many super puzzles and a lovely combination of linear and non-linear gameplay, meaning that there is plenty to do together and plenty to break off and tackle independently.
It was so nice to do a magic room that wasn't related to a certain boy-wizard (although we love those too) and it offered a different kind of magic that is interactive in some instances and forms well-themed puzzles in others.
GMs here are always an absolute delight and it's somewhere we would travel across the country for, as the puzzles are plentiful and the welcome is warm.
This is challenging game and has a great variety of puzzles. Gets very intense towards the end. This is one of our all time favourites !
This game had a really nice flow, and well worth a visit if you are in the area!
Another lovely game from Xscapenow. Game flowed very well and kept a team of two busy for the entire time!
Athough the puzzles are on the easy side, there's a lot to do! So beware!
Another excellent room from this company. Brilliantly designed immersive set, particularly the last couple of “rooms”. Got stuck on a couple of puzzles we probably shouldn’t have making it a bit tight at the end.
Really enjoyed exploring this room - it was beautiful and totally in keeping with the theme. Lots of different puzzles including one that usually leads to our downfall in rooms at the end but somehow we got it done.
This room is so, so good! So many moments when we said ‘Ah that’s brilliant’!
Very original with lots of variation on puzzles and a good mix of locks and tech. Played this as a group of 2 with a 12 week old baby. We would normally play as a 4 and I think it threw us off as we had to have a little more help than normal even though this room definitely isn’t as difficult as the Book of Magic. Still absolutely loved it though and the set is so wonderfully done and immersive.
Amazing hosts as always. So welcoming! Great communication and clues that were given on the screen were clear and quickly delivered.
This room has so much to offer!! It’s quite a difficult room as there are so many puzzles but I loved this! It was the hardest room we have played but it flowed brilliantly and everyone was always doing something. We didn’t stop the whole time. Some puzzles were a little challenging and we did require some help with a couple of them but never felt defeated by that. Lots of locks which I love 😉
Hosts were fabulous as always. Great communication which was clear and quick when we asked for it.
This is my all time favourite room!! An amazing set which is just beautiful and makes you say ‘wow’ when you walk in! From the moment the game starts there is so much fun!
Clever and original puzzles with a real great mixture of locks and tech. There were even a few elements id never seen before in an escape room!
Excellent hosting as always. These guys always pull it out the bag 🙂
I promise if you play this room you will not be disappointed
A lovely, puzzle packed room. Another great room from XscapeNow
Lots of fun, original puzzles in an attractive, spacious room.
Oz is a fantastic room. In our top 5 of over 50 rooms. Great hosting. We will definitely be returning to try more of their rooms.
What a fun and unique game! Lots of puzzles I'd not seen before - a little bit of something for everyone. If you like escape rooms, you'll love this. If you like Oz you'll LOVE this
I love a Sweeny Todd themed room! Some cool but scary tech in this room. Would definitely recommend
This was my personal favourite room at this venue. A different take on a magic themed escape room with lots of fun and challenging puzzles.
A cool concept, took me a while to realise I was on a train (my fault) but we enjoyed moving through all the carriages!
Finally got round to playing Oz last week at XscapeNow. Being our local room we have a soft spot for these guys but another solid room which we thoroughly enjoyed. Nice mix of puzzles/tech and really nice flow to the room which was great. One puzzle type we hadn’t seen before but thought worked really well involving two people having to communicate across the room (if you have played it you’ll know which bit I am referring to). The set design and munchkin house were great fun too! Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to the two new rooms later this year. 👍🏼
FANTASTIC game mechanics. Such a fun room, brought out our inner child. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing! Sparked my love for these games.
Loved this room! Brilliant mix of tech and traditional locks with great signposting
Our 200th Room!! And a very good choice! We are huge fans of traditional escape rooms with plenty of locks and puzzles, so this room did not disappoint! Definitely worth a visit (even if you are scaredy-cats like us!) - the "creep-factor" was just enough to immerse you but still allow you to make your way through the room!!
Play this room - Just go and play it!
What a room! If you are looking for something that challenges you both mentally and physically, with a strong storyline, this is the room for you! There truly is something for everyone - and our host was brilliant!
Had a fantastic time doing this. Plenty to do and was fairly non-linear so a larger group would definitely be kept busy. It was challenging for a group of 3. Some puzzles we hadn’t seen before, which is rare after 90+ games!
Did this straight after their Sweeney Todd room which we’d loved and this was even better
Fabulous room with excellent theming and props, and friendly knowledgeable hosts. A wide variety of puzzles, with a mix of padlocks and tech, and all very logical and well-signposted without being obvious.
Managed to get the fastest time for a team of 3 and didn’t need any clues, but still felt challenged. Highly recommended
Excellent theming and hosting as always. Beautiful set design and really original ideas. Really unique and playful with some great ‘ah ha!’ moments. Definitely worth a visit!
My first escape room and a great one to start on. Really enjoyed the theming and the hosts were brilliant.
Yee-ha! This had a lovely big floor plan and was packed with puzzles that were on-theme and enjoyable. If I could add a couple more puzzles, I would, but purely because we were enjoying it so much that it was disappointing when it ended! We love physical puzzles and there were quite a few of these. We also enjoyed some of the twists on some of the usual puzzles we see in escape rooms.
There were no 'what do we do now?' moments because it's all quite instinctive so flowed nicely. A team of two was the perfect number, as it meant we both got to work on everything without feeling crowded.
This was a lot of fun. It has the potential to be creepy but it's more of a fun take on Sweeney Todd rather than a scary one. The puzzles are meaty and delicious, with a smattering of gore and a pinch of challenge that made this a head-scratcher at times. Hosting here is excellent.
Great train escape rooms! four or five rooms long as you work your way along the train. lots of props and guns!!!
One of the best we have done so far. if your in Telford try this room if you can.
we will be returning to see the other rooms they have also. hope they are just as good.
Very enjoyable and a large space to explore! Due to the large space, at some points the game felt a little bit sparse, it felt like a few more puzzles could have been included. Great host and a fun room!

A good variety of puzzles, a simple storyline but still enjoyable. Looking forward to their new room.

Really good fun. Good story and the flow of puzzles worked really well. Great for families as well!

Wow this was so much fun! After struggling with the first clue (we felt like proper beginners!), we made our way into the main set and were really impressed with how immersive, sprawling and exciting it all was. A vast variety of puzzles, all of which made sense, and best of all the theming of this room was really on point, it felt like we were really on a train! Double thumbs up for this room! Our new personal favourite at XscapeNow.

Another fun Christmas themed room, this was nothing spectacular, but had enough to do for four of us to escape. Relatively easy, but we didn’t mind as we went with family. A variety of puzzles instead of just generic padlocks/passcodes made this an enjoyable experience.

Hell yeah! Our favourite at Xscape Now, this room has loads to offer. It seems endless, and there was always multiple puzzles that people could get on with. It took 5 of us 56 mins to complete, and once you gain entry to the last portion it really ups the immersiveness. The set decoration was cool and the tasks mostly kept in theme. Out of the handful of magic-themed rooms we’ve completed, this would be the best. Top 10 after 40 odd rooms so far.

We played as a group of 4, and have to say this is one of the best rooms at Xscape Now. The set design was really cool and a couple of original challenges made it a really fun experience. Although there were quite a few padlocks later in the experience this didn’t bother us as we were having such fun. 52 mins with 4 players but you could still do this with 2. Don’t miss it!

One of Xscape Now’s season rooms, this was really fun to do with the family around Christmas time. Nothing incredible, but on point Christmassy set design and fun puzzles! If it ever comes back then give it a shot!

Our second trip to Xscape Now, even better than the last! The beauty of this room is that you can compete with another team to break into the bank vault! We played as a team of 4 against a team of 2, and narrowly managed to beat them! We started in the record store, while our opponents started in the sweet shop. The two starting points are slightly different too, so we’re going to go back and swap sides. The clues were fun and on theme depending where you were in the adventure, and how the two rooms have the same finish at the same point was fun. Definitely a recommend.

Our first game at Xscape Now, and have to say it was loads of fun. Being a fan of all things space, the theme was really appealing, and as soon as you set foot in the room you’re drawn in and want to explore. The puzzles were fun and stayed on theme, and the hosting was great, as it always is here. We played as a team of two and only needed a couple of nudges in the right direction.
Puzzles in space!
A nicely put together traditional escape room with lots of locks and well-done puzzles. We felt there was a flow all the way through the game and while we might not have known why we did things, most of the time we knew what to do. Some puzzles looked tedious at first glance, but when we had to do them, they were easier than we thought.
We really liked these puzzles with a Star Trek geeky spin. We didn't feel stuck once but did need a bit of help to connect two parts of a puzzle (clocks). It didn't feel obvious to us, so a bit of signposting might have helped. The hint system worked well though.
A solid game.
The game is built on Telescape - early version with text field. Navigation was a bit tough for one player but the other player had no problems, so it might come down to the individual setup.
Very tricky with two people but can be done!
This was a traditional and lock-heavy game but contained some good puzzles. We enjoyed it overall, however, there was a point in the game when we were missing an item that we needed to progress and the only hints available told us what to do with that item, but not where we could find it. So there was some frustration and that spoiled things a bit. We re-searched everywhere, eventually found the item and finished. Aside from that one issue, everything worked well and it's a good game for the price.
We played this game which was essentially a copy of the old game at Lakes Escapes.
