This is a great room! If you're a smaller, more experienced group this is definitely one to try! The difficulty with this room comes, not necessarily from the puzzles themselves, but with the sheer amount you have to do in the allocated time.

Fans of the Neverending Story will enjoy this one as it's filled with references. This is a good option for those who enjoy physical puzzles and there are definitely options in there for older children to work through.

A really fun room, with a good mix of puzzle types. There was plenty to do with two of us and we were kept occupied for the entire time we were in there.

If you're a small team with less experience then this might be tricky just because of the sheer amount there is to do.

This was a really fun room to play and a nice break from the padlock heavy rooms we've been doing recently - there were no codes or keys anywhere! The theming was strong and overall the space was very immersive. The temperature control in the room was also great, and we didn't suffer the heat as much as we have in other games.

Many of the puzzles are magnetised which generally worked well but there were a couple of occasions where we had the right solution but things hadn't quite clicked into place.

We would recommend this for smaller teams due to the size of the space itself but each section has several non linear puzzles to solve. It is purposefully a dim space in case this is something you struggle with.

This would be a great room for those new to escape rooms. It's a solid premise with a clear objective and a largely linear puzzle style.

As always Unescapable have made the most of a small space.

Experienced escapees will find this very/quite easy, but it was a still a lot of fun and, with just two of us, we both had things to keep us busy the entire time we were in there.

This is Unescapable's most difficult offering, but the one we've had the most fun with so far. There was a wide variety of puzzles and a lot of movement between different rooms. As a team of two we found we had quite a lot of ground to cover (even in this small space), but the payoff was worth it.

As a note, the space itself can be quite tight so, if you do struggle with that, this may not be the game for you.

This was a fun room to play, with some good elements of humour included. The host was great, providing just the right amount of guidance.

It is on the easier side for escape room enthusiasts.

Unfortunately, this room has a lot of unmet potential. It starts off well with the team members briefly separated by a puzzle, and then you have to move into a secondary room before ending in a tertiary room. However, from the second room onwards we found it disappointing.

The puzzles within the secondary room are not particularly hi-tech, and there are lots of buttons and switches that seem as though they should do something (e.g. making a sound and lighting up) but aren't actually necessary for the game. There were also a several links missing between puzzles and solutions which meant that finding solutions was often a process of elimination and so unsatisfying.

In large part, our disappointment was due to the poor hosting. There were multiple occasions where we needed to shout the answer and the host didn't hear us, even though we'd provided the correct answer. This cost us time but, more importantly, was incredibly frustrating as we couldn't tell where we'd made a mistake when, as it turned out, we hadn't.

This room was great fun! It's an immersive room with just the right amount of silliness.

As you're trying to access four separate artefacts (the "weapons"), there's plenty for each member of the team to be getting on with. The four of us always had something to do, and the narrative breaks in the story provided via video were really useful for bringing us back together and providing a strong sense of progression.

Also brilliant, was the timed challenge at the end as, even if you made it through everything else really quickly, you still had that sense that this was high-stakes.

As always with Cave Escape, the hosting was great with just the right amount of interaction provided!

Overall, we enjoyed this escape room (the first we'd done at Houdini's) and found it fun but it isn't as high-quality as other escape rooms within Nottingham for a similar price.

The size of the escape room is impressive, and there's a decent blend of puzzles (although we found it fairly straightforward). The hint system was also used effectively by the host with sounds used to let players know whether or not they're on the right track.

There is a soundtrack used towards the end with lots of screaming and crashing which can be quite harrowing. We understand this is the Titanic, but we weren't quite expecting that level of immersion and it was upsetting. A trigger warning or the option not to have the screaming might be useful.

The ending of the room really let the rest of it down as it was particularly abrupt. With the last puzzle, we were hurried into another room by our host and told that we had successfully escaped. This is not the fault of the host as it seems to be the script that's followed, but it wasn't a satisfying ending and a drop in quality compared to the rest of the experience.

A perfect room for a smaller team, or a family with younger kids!

As a regular team of two, escape rooms aren't often made with a smaller team in mind. This feels as though it was. Break Escape have done incredible things with a really tiny space. I think, if you had a larger team of adults though, you might get through everything too quickly, or find that there isn't enough physical space for everyone.

The room is highly immersive and very fun to play through. There's a good mixture of puzzles to enjoy, and plenty of climbing through things. The ball pit was a very fun surprise, and I think we wasted a few minutes just throwing things at each other. It was also really fun to have a secondary goal of collecting specific items which can add to the challenge or, I imagine, entertain some younger players.

Creepy/scary rooms aren't normally our thing, but we tried out this room at the recommendation of a staff member of Escapologic and we're so glad we did! The immersion on this room is incredible. The puzzles are varied and so much is done with the space and sound that I think you could probably complete this room multiple times and find something new each time. The story behind the room also feels like an original take on an well-known trope.

What really made this a great game for me was the host. I have a heart condition which means I can faint when my heart rate increases too rapidly (e.g. when I'm startled). When I mentioned this to the host, they put me at ease very quickly and let me know that several bits in the room could be amended if I wanted. In the end, I opted to go ahead with the game as it was designed with the option to "tap out" if I needed things changing partway through. It was really helpful to feel as though I had that amount of agency.

I've previously played this room when it was part of Cryptology, and was really pleased to see that it was very different this time round. Break Escape have overhauled several of the rooms.

The premise of the room is solid. You are required to work your way through 4 different dreams. You're given 12 minutes per room to collect dream keys which will help you in the fifth and final room where you have to wake up Dr. Lucy.

It was an immersive experience with a great host (Oleg) who provided just the right amount of guidance. The rooms are made of largely non-linear puzzles so there's stuff for team members to do separately to one another. However, the overall structure of the game means that you still get a sense of progression over the course of the hour.
