A visit to Escape Quest is a scrumptious sweet treat in itself but Titterton's Toffee is a sumptuous, delicious delight and we just wanted more! We knew it would be a quality offering and we expected handmade puzzles with padlocks-a-plenty but the reality of having an hour in escape room heaven absolutely lived up to all of our expectations.
Elaine and Mike design puzzles that just make sense. Sometimes straightforward, sometimes multi-layered but always thought through with care and a nod to the history of Chapelgate. The decor is in-keeping with the era and this new Chapelgate challenge allows time travellers into new places and to see the changes that have taken place over time. As always, the flow of the gameplay is superb and success is measured on the basis of 'how many' rather than 'escape or not', which makes it fun and accessible for all levels of escapers. It is yet another winner for Escape Quest and if there were royal warrants available for escape rooms (as well as toffee-makers) then this would surely get the royal seal of approval.

From memory, this was a well themed room but felt like it could have been so much more. The clip in the beginning of Jodie Whittaker's Doctor was brilliant, but other than that we thought it was a pretty standard room.

The Escape Game Nashville:
Played: 05/04/2024 Team size: 7 Outcome: Successful escape!
The newest room for this company in Nashville - the tech is well done and there are some great moments in this game. Public room booking system so we ended up with a family of five who were relatively new to ERs - always a bit tricky to know how to play as an enthusiast so we held back a little to let them work some things out; would say this is a great room for the less experienced as it is suitably exciting and the space ship looks cool (despite the small footprint). Had a good time, but would say the game is on the easier side.

This was our third Escapable game and another one to add to our favourite room list! You can really see how this brand is dedicated to creating an experience in a room, and not just escape by the numbers. It was just a joy from start to finish, a lovely mix of traditional puzzles and also fun skill games. I don't think any would be too difficult for any team to pose a real threat, but we certainly had to have a few tries! Haha. Clearly a lot of love went into designing this room and creating some cheeky moments, we haven't stopped smiling all day.
