A really solid room with some great use of tech. Great hosting and great fun.
My favourite room at BB, great story and immersion. Hosting is also superb, they really do care about you having a wonderful time
All in all, a magical experience and one that lived up to its reputation. Can't wait to tackle the next room at Beverley Breakout!
The best game of a very good bunch at Beverley Breakout.
The usually brilliant puzzles you expect, you can tell the owner is an enthusiast, but with stunning visuals beyond the other rooms.
Fran is the nicest host you will come across in Yorkshire, we can't wait till she releases more games to be back soon.
Played with 2 adults and a 3 year old and a 6 year old
Great room at Beverley Breakout. Host was brilliant and we had a good chat before and after.
The room itself was decorated well and had a good mix of puzzles, all which were logical and fit the theme and story.
Some puzzles were really original and well thought out, loved the decor and the room in general.
Overall, a great room, well designed, good for 2 and would be great for kids too.
My personal favourite of the venue as this is a beautifully decorated and themed adventure with a great narrative and a great mix of puzzles. Some wonderfully magical moments in this game that make it special. Loved it.
Games based on certain literary magic schools aren't new, it's still quite a go to theme for some people. What sets this game apart though is some of the beautiful artistry and some of the clever puzzles involved. You start at a train station and then move through various locations solving puzzles as you go, puzzles are a nice mix between physical, logical and search. Theming is very good throughout and the game has a great flow to it and each step was nicely signposted.
Our host was Fran (venue owner) who was fantastic throughout and couldn't do enough for us.
What a wondeful game! The set throughout was fantastic but was particularly great in the 2nd half of the game. Enjoyed all of the puzzles which were logical and really fun to solve, plus had some cool bits of tech involved. I particularly liked all the references throughout; clearly this was designed by a passionate Harry Potter fan!
Absolutely beautiful, immersive and fun room.
I'm not a massive fan of the theme, but it would have hard for the most miserable muggle not to smile and enjoy this lovely room. A lot of money and artistry has been put into making this room look both authentic and magical. The first area feels like you've stepped onto one of the book covers, and just gets better as it goes along.
We did the game on hard mode, and with a couple of hints managed to work our way through everything, as all puzzles flowed well and there were hardly any leaps in logic. I think anyone who is stuck might just need to look again at some of the things in the room and see if anything makes sense. Even the hints we received were more to point us to something we'd missed rather than telling us how to solve anything. To me that's a good room as you really feel like you're doing everything yourself rather than being hand-held the whole time.
Puzzle-wise there are a few things I hadn't seen before, but one in particular was magical and really fit the theme. My Husband was particularly fond of it. You can tell the people who designed this room really thought about player experience.
The host was lovely and chatted to us for a long time about escape rooms, the sign of someone who loves what they're doing.
The set design was great in here. Loves some of the puzzles and theme remained strong throughout. Some nice quirky puzzles and use of props/furniture.
We really enjoyed this and the settings/locales we were taken through.
Fran the host is very enthusiastic and we could have continued to talk to her all day - great venue and we'll keep a lookout for any future rooms!
This has got to be one of our favourite games played with some incredible wow-factor moments. Some of the puzzles were fantastic and perfectly suited to the theme, with one in particular sticking in my mind as mind-blowing.
Another must-play entry from Fran and the team at Beverley Breakout.
This was our fave at Beverley brakeout as it is visually amazing and has some fun puzzles. Also fran never disappoints with her hosting skills! If she did more rooms weβd be back everyday!
Another brilliant room at Beverley Breakout. The set had been beautifully designed with lots of magical puzzles. A really fun room.
A different take on the obvious certain young wizard theme and pulled off well. A mix of puzzles types and plenty to keep the brain working hard. Hosting was excellent.
Wow. What a room. Not a single flaw for me. Only played two rooms that made me feel the way I felt in here. Loved it.
What a lovely game! A bit different to the usual magical fare and stacked with gorgeous puzzles. It was intuitive and beautifully designed with some lovely nods to the wizarding world. Fran was a superb host and we just had such an enjoyable time at Beverley Breakout. We've done a lot of magical-themed rooms and this still managed to provide things we've not seen before. Absolutely fantastic.
Great fun, beautiful props and setting.
Great fun for all the family.
Slightly trickier than the Toy room at the same venue but still very doable in 60 minutes. .
Another win for Beverley Breakout. My wife is a huge Harry Potter fan, so any chance to do a magical themed room, we take it immediately. This room was beautifully themed, with nods to Potter and other magical beings. The game flowed really well, and we were slowed down by our own stupidity. Luckily our host, Fran, clued us in at the necessary points to keep us on track and moving.
Nothing is ridiculously difficult, and this is a family friendly room. Some puzzles that I personally haven't seen before, and magic is involved too, which for a magical room, what more could you ask for.
Me and the wife loved this room, and are, and will forever be, Beverley Breakout fans.
A fourth superb room from Beverley Breakout! Whilst the theming is nothing new, donβt let that put you off as not only was it visually impressive there were once again several puzzles I had not seen before. Fran was as always an amazing host, only sending clues through when necessary to keep the game at a good pace
