This game was more challenging (for us!) than the jungle with slightly fewer puzzles but still a lot to do and very enjoyable. No timer visible in the room which made us very uncertain how long we had left but it added to the storyline and the immersion so I didn't mind that at all but I know it can be a problem for some! Very embarrassing moment in the game where one person missed something literally in front of their face but it gave us all a good laugh! Again, I would definitely say this game deserves it's top 100 spot!

This was an amazing room! There was a lot to do in this room so even discounting the puzzle that requires 3 players, I really think we would have cut it close with just 2 of us. The signposting in this room was spot on, subtle enough to not be handholding but also clear enough that we were never confused with what did what! Some really clever twists and a fun ending along with everything else means for me this room definitely deserves it's place in the top 100!

This was a very different style of escape game to what I've played before. Instead of escaping within the hour, your aim is to collect as many magical keys as you can that have been lost in the magical story books. You have bronze, silver and gold keys to collect going from easy to hard. Having to sacrifice a key to get a clue is also a very clever way to encourage you to really try to work out everything yourself!

The other very clever thing about this game is that each magic book that we went into we only had 20 minutes to find all the keys. We went into three different books (rooms) each with a completely unique design and theme and set so it meant we were constantly seeing new things. The other exciting thing for the future as well is they plan to open up more books and then you can choose which 3 you do.

I should also mention our host Teddy who was a brilliant character from the very moment we started. He was very funny and also was happy to talk escape rooms with us at the end.

This was a brilliant and very unique style of escape room. I could see why for some people they may not like it as much as more traditional escape rooms but for me this was such a fun experience

What a game! You follow the story of Oz quite closely to the film which I really liked. The set design of this room was really well put together, with some fantastic effects throughout the game which really added to the experience. A strong mix of tech and traditional lock puzzles which really gave some good variety to the puzzles. I've played a lot of games by this point but there were still some puzzles in this room I've not seen before which is always great to see. There was also a good mix of non linear puzzles which could be done at different points which then lead you to the linear story which I was very impressed by. It's so difficult to explain how good this game is without ruining anything but honestly it was a stunning game and a great start for a new Enigma location. I can't wait to see what they do with future rooms!

Having played the Pathogen room several years ago I had been waiting to play this game and it was definitely worth the wait. Very challenging game though, so fair warning! We were told out of 34 teams who have played so far we were only the 6th to escape! Some really fun puzzles and tech that I’ve not seen before which is always a nice thing to see. The only thing for me keeping me from putting it as 5 stars is that I felt some of the puzzles repeated themselves just a little too much or went on a little too long but I could see for a larger team this would be beneficial as it would allow everyone to have a go. All in all though, it’s another very strong room from Doomsday. Also, the hosts (yeah there were 2!) Cat and Michelle were lovely and we spent a nice little while talking escape rooms too

This is the first titanic themed room that I have played so wasn’t sure of my expectations but I thoroughly enjoyed this room.

It felt like there were a lot of puzzles to do for just 2 players (which I love!) so we were pretty non stop in the room. A good mixture of puzzles that kept us on our toes with some that clicked with us instantly and some that required a minor nudge in the right direction to keep us on track. Also several that forced us to communicate well with each other which we sometimes struggled with!

I would say for enthusiasts this would be quite a simple room but I would still encourage you to play it as it has some unexpected and clever elements to it that I’ve not seen in other games and I’m still very glad I played this room.

Stop what you are doing and book in for this room!

Where to begin. First off I will say the passion and heart that has gone into this room is evident from the start. As is mentioned on the website (so no spoilers!) there is a live actor and live magic built into this room. It is delivered at moments that add to the immersion of the story as well as dumbfounding you at the same time!

From a purely puzzle point of view, the puzzles flowed very well with some excellent signposting that was subtle enough to not feel like you were being shoved in the right direction but also obvious enough that you weren’t left scratching your head with what to do. Not the most difficult game I’ve played but still offered up some nice challenges, I think we required only 2 clues in the game excluding pointers where we had stupidly missed things!

I would say this all helps lead to the finale though as I think every team that plays this game will need to experience the ending of the room. If I’m honest there was almost a tear in my eye as the ending was such an awe inspiring, personal, unbelievable, magical (insert more adjectives here!) and just incredible end that had me walking away feeling as though I’ve been part of the magic.

Where to start? First off, our host Tom was an absolute pleasure to talk to. We spent a good bit of time both before and after the game talking about escape rooms. Always good for me as it indicates the care and enthusiasm that has been put in. And it definitely showed!

There was a great fun intro to the room from Tom himself as well as a great story intro once we got inside. I am a huge fan of the back to the future franchise but my partner has never seen them. The room was clever enough to work for us both, delivering the story well regardless of the external knowledge although there were some lovely little details for fans of the film.

The puzzles we came across had the perfect balance of challenge and difficulty without being frustrating. Only a couple of pointers needed and as always it was down to us being silly rather than the puzzles being illogical!

I feel it's worth mentioning that one of our directional locks didn't work throughout the game (we all know it happens) but rather than it causing a problem, the way Tom dealt with it was so good and professional and was able to keep us immersed in the game while being able to fix it for us. He also was incredibly apologetic about it after the game.

The end of the game had some of the best theatrics I've experienced and I was grinning like a maniac.

The background music had me dancing and singing along between puzzles and helped add to the overall enjoyment of the game.

I would recommend this room to anyone. Go play this room!

Possibly one of the worst games I’ve played and experiences I’ve had. To start with when we arrived at 5.55 for our 6pm booking we were told there’s another group in the room at the moment, they have 5 minutes left then we’ll get the room reset and get you in. No story build up at the beginning to set the scene just here’s the room, go solve puzzles. Several of the puzzles had the next clues available within reaching distance of fingers so no need to solve a puzzle to open the lock to get at them although we still did as we didn’t want to cheat ourselves out of it but this felt very poor. Some of the puzzles the logic was also quite poor and/or very little signposting which is always frustrating.  Also some of the theming for the puzzles didn’t really make sense - why is there a clock face on a cauldron? When we got the one clue we needed in the game it stayed on the screen for the next 15 minutes. And finally when we got to the end of the game we did the final thing we were meant to do and nothing happened. So we though we were wrong and tried multiple different things. We then waved for a clue for about a minute and nothing happened and then the exit door opened and the guy said we did it. When we asked how, he said by placing that item there. When we said we did that about 5 minutes ago and nothing happened he basically shrugged and we left.

I would not recommend this game to anyone

A fun but simple room. Some of the decor and set design was a little tired and could have done with fixing up a bit. There was also a moment where I lifted up a black cloth and there was an electrical box behind it that clearly wasn’t part of the game. A little bit more effort to hide that would have been good as it somewhat broke the immersion.  The game featured very little signposting with only the middle part having any real sense of which code went to which lock. In the first room there were several 4-digit locks with no indication of which code went to what lock so some time felt wasted trying codes across multiple locks. Felt tedious more than anything else. All the puzzles flowed well and made sense, only 1 clue needed and that was down to player error not reading! Always the way!

All in all it was a decent game that would probably do well with first timers and families but more serious players would probably come away disappointed

A fourth superb room from Beverley Breakout! Whilst the theming is nothing new, don’t let that put you off as not only was it visually impressive there were once again several puzzles I had not seen before. Fran was as always an amazing host, only sending clues through when necessary to keep the game at a good pace

We played the 100 minute version of this room (and set the record! Yippee!) and had a lot of fun doing so. A good mixture of different types of puzzles ranging from mathematical, word based, observational and some spatial. Again within Beverley Breakout rooms there were puzzles in this room I have never encountered before which is always fun to experience. Also again, the host Fran, clearly knows her games well as the few clues that were needed came through at the perfect moment. Towards the end of the game there is a series of fun standalone puzzles that don’t really tie in to the story of the room but they are so fun to do that you don’t even care! Once again, a fabulous room and we will definitely be going back to play the others!

This room was a delight to play. So many little touches that really added aesthetically to the room. Several puzzles in here I had never seen before and the ending especially was a lot of fun and very cute. Only a few clues needed but they came through at the perfect time, not too early before we’d had a chance to work it out but also not so late that we’d got frustrated. We played this room as 2 adults but there is a lot to do for families with little kids as well. All in all a fun and fantastic room

Wow! Before you even enter the room you’re already on edge. When you get in the room it takes you a moment to get to grips with your surroundings as it looks stunning. Incredibly immersive and great set design. This room is definitely not for the faint of heart! A lot of moments that were dealt with by screams or shouts followed by lots of laughter! And on top of the set and atmosphere, the puzzles themselves were really fun and still made you think

A visually stunning room with many moments that made us squeal with delight. Several different types of puzzles to suit big kids and little kids alike. Definitely required strong communication between us at multiple times
