Not too impressed with this despite some favourable reviews. The set felt poorly maintained and tech felt janky / unresponsive. Puzzles needed better signposting and there was a lot of faffing around as it wasn't obvious what to focus on next. Ending was something different at least - although the difficulty selection at such a late stage seemed like an odd inclusion. There were some fun references throughout however

Surprised by this game as I'd not heard much. Liked how it integrated local history into the puzzles and was very original. The puzzles are very good throughout and there's plenty to be getting on with - weren't so sure one of the final puzzles though, which felt a bit timewasting. You can tell it was an older room but overall it still delivers high quality gameplay that is unique and puzzle focussed.

Such a neat concept makes this a great room for enthusiasts while also appealing to family / novice groups. Kept us engaged throughout and despite being quite linear, we all had good time and would tackle bonus puzzles while the others attacked the primary puzzle. Set is good and puzzles are a lot of fun to solve - only a well hidden bit of searching kept us from the maximum score. Really enjoyable game, highly recommended

Not as good as their newest game but easy to see why it has a great reputation. This is a neat prohibition themed room with a cool set and solid puzzles throughout. A couple of observation / searching ones caught us out and could've done with more signposting but others were satisfying to solve and the room is excellent overall.

A fantastic game with a great theme and set, plus loads of brilliant puzzles too. This is crammed full of sci-fi references to keep you entertained if you ever pause to admire the scenary. Puzzles are enjoyable, challenging and logical - signposting in particular was excellent. A memorable finale rounds out the experience. Brilliant overall, and we had an awesome time

Pleasantly surprised by this game, as it delivers a very solid experience with a lovely set and elegant puzzles throughout. The hosting elevates it to another level - Fogg was brilliant and we can't see anyone else playing the role as well. Really liked the unique start to the game and just had a great time. What a game! This is a puzzlefest style room with fantastic puzzles throughout, funny references and a great set. Our host Jamie was brilliant and I just had a brilliant time. The ending was tense and exciting, just wish we had some more time to crack on with the earlier stage of the game. This is similar to Quick E-Mart although I found this a better game, mainly down to its production level and great puzzles. All round fantastic, and not to be missed!

A great adventure game with a fun use of different levels and many new areas to discover. Theming was great and the puzzles were a lot of fun - the idea of having no written english in the game forced some cool ways of signposting puzzles. I wish there was a bit more to the ending, but generally had a lot of fun climbing around in here and think it's the best at the venue

Booked on the day and actually preferred it to pub and chip shop. Just found the puzzles worked better for us (except opening the front door) and we had a better flow. The set won't blow you away but is good and I liked the character in the room. Only real issue was that we skipped the ending by finding something too soon, feels like something that could be easily fixed and would probably have elevated the experience for us. Worth playing though if doing the other games here

A unique concept and lots of fun to play. Bit searchy for us at points but our host Ethan was good fun and kept us on track. Preferred the first half - 2nd half felt a bit cramped and wasn't so sure on the story. Puzzles throughout were enjoyable and logical and I'd recommend playing, just not for a large team

overpriced😨creepy

About what I expected although less scares than anticipated. Meh puzzles that didn't really involve the whole team and we then needed to wait afterwards for the other groups to finish. Decisions / actions throughout made no difference to the narrative and somewhat killed the immersion - it was otherwise quite an impressive set. Acting was good but not very much of it. We got a decent groupon discount cutting the price down, but at full price this is way overpriced for what you get. An enjoyable enough experience for fans of immersive horror and the Saw francise, not one for people who enjoy puzzles

A really unique and inventive outing from Clue Cracker, this had a brilliant set and was incredibly immersive. Puzzles were (for the most part) fun and inventive, I think a couple needed a bit more signposting and I expect this is something they'll adjust as the game is open for longer. Principally, they absolutely nail the theme and the build quality is outstanding. Well worth playing!

illogicalpoor upkeep

Houdini's have been on my radar for a while and this game is supposed to be one of their best. Unfortunately, while it may have been great 5 years ago it really isn't today. The set felt very tired and poorly maintained: clearly puzzles had been removed but props were still left, some clues had numbers written in marker pen and various bits of set dressing were damaged and broken. The puzzles were not well signposted and a lot were just bland or timewasting. The floorplan is quite large, but the spaces still managed to feel tiny and boring. Our GM said this was a fully linear game which was blatantly not true and there was none of the briefing I'd heard about using their cinema screen. There was no soundtrack either, the captain would occasionally give updates on the situation but no foghorn or ship's bell to indicate if we were doing something correctly or not despite being told this in the brief.

Just rather disappointed given I'd heard a lot about it - doubt I'll try any of their other games if this is the standard.

A unique and inventive game with brilliant theming and set. Enjoyed the adventurous aspect too and the puzzles made sense with the story. However, we thought puzzles could do with better signposting and there was a lot of reading involved. One puzzle was particularly infuriating and fiddly to solve. The GM overclued a lot and would sometimes direct us away from a puzzle we were currently solving. Had a cool exit from the game but there was no one to meet us when we did so felt a bit meh. This could be an amazing game, just didn't hit the mark for us this time

Didn't have the best experience here due mainly to the GM, who overclued us loads throughout the game basically as soon as we found a puzzle to the point we weren't really solving much ourselves. The set was excellent however, particularly in the 2nd half. Hopefully our experience was an anomaly and we still enjoyed playing

Not as good as their other games but still good fun. Found it to be quite searchy like Little Miss Lock, but liked how it all came together in the end and the puzzles all linked to the story. A wonderfully unique game that was fantastically hosted by Charlie. Found the theming excellent and authentic, and the handcuff mechanic was well executed to feel safe while simultaneously immersive. Puzzles required strong teamwork and were logical, although we'd have enjoyed a "hard" version of the game with even more to do. If you're after a less standard but very fun game, look no further than the Brig. The owners/GMs of Live Escape Salisbury are super friendly and I can't wait to see what the design next

Can tell this is an old game but a lot of the ideas in here were quite advanced for when this was built. Enjoyed a lot of the puzzles, but others felt a bit odd and required a fair bit of searching. Theming was simultaneously good yet plain. The story and ideas behind the game were good and the finale puzzle was cool, but other bits felt quite tired. The GM/owner Claire was lovely however and provided the perfect amount of help. We had fun in here, and would love to see the ideas in it modernised or refreshed

Good fun game, started off quite standard then became a very enjoyable non-linear affair. This was apparently their hardest setting which didn't feel like it. Based on conecpt alone this should be an excellent game, but I feel its execution left a lot to be desired. Set and theming was well done and puzzles required a strong element of teamwork, but something about the puzzles felt odd. There was nothing massively wrong with any of the puzzles, but we just didn't get on with them too well. This was especially true in the latter part of the game, where the flow became very linear and the solutions weren't particularly clear - meant a lot of twiddling padlock dials until it would open as the code wasn't very clear.

This certainly isn't a bad game and you'll have fun in here, plus is very affordable too. The ideas just need some streamlining as it felt a bit all over the place. The owner Liam was lovely and cleary has put a lot of effort into the room - Mutiny just didn't work for us I think.

Managed to meet the high expectations from Roll out the Barrel and cements Escape Plan as the best venue in London for me. First big franchise escape room and kinda what I expected. The hosts were friendly and chatty. The room itself was mediocre - set was plain and quite worn but did the job, puzzles ranged from illogical to okay and there was lots of trying the same code in many locks. Clues were typed on a screen and the story was meh. Our novice friends quite enjoyed it however, and we did all have fun. Such an elegant game with an outstanding build quality on the set - probably the best attention to detail I've seen yet. Everything down to the intro video was beautiful and a theatric use of light and sound made for an immersive experience. Puzzles worked well with the story and were really unique - there's no padlocks to be found here. Would have liked some better signposting at times, but the use of lights to show what you should focus on was a nice touch. Was prepared to be totally disappointed by this as I could find such little information about the game and few reviews. However, the gamble paid off as this was a wonderful game full of excellent puzzles, many unique and refreshing. You could split up throughout most of the game so never felt like you were faffing around, plus the searching was kept to a minimum. The set was pretty good too. The space here is really large and unique but feels somewhat empty and under-utilised. Some puzzles were really clever, but a lot revolved around following instructions and searching for things. Basically spent a lot of the game feeling somewhat lost and like I wasn't doing much. There was a nice finale to the game and section that involved some good communication, although when we exited the game and had to wait a while before the GM arrived. The GM herself was lovely and very chatty. It's a good game with a lovely set, but you'd probably enjoy it more with fewer players as there didn't feel like there were many puzzles
