Enigma Rooms Wakefield: Murder Motel

Immersive room, excellent experience. Really challenging with great puzzles and lots of locks. The host was wonderful too. 

We do love a good lock heavy room - so we LOVED it! 😊 

Excellent room, some nice challenging puzzles that were all themed and an excellent host. 

Nice theme - simple and effective. Quite logical and linear. Staff really good 👍🏻 . Almost all physical locks.

This is a tradional style escape room that relied on locks and low tech puzzles.

Because of the story/setting, this works really well. I think this is one of Enigmas earlier games, but it has stood the test of time.

Would I travel to specifically play this game : Yes

Murder motel did a great job of hiding a lot of puzzles in not a lot of places. 

It had a reasonably linear flow that suited our team of two and the puzzles were suitably themed to keep the room’s unsettling feeling going even while solving puzzles.

Challenging and gets the brain working to solve the puzzles. Good family fun day out. Great hosting from Kieran. Would definitely recommend. 

Enigma rooms have never let us down (yet!) and this one didn’t disappoint either. It was a totally authentic hotel room setting with an excellent, humorous briefing from our GM Ava. There were lots of locks but not enough that we got bored and the room flowed logically and provided some great a-ha moments. Suitably creepy atmosphere given the storyline and props (as we came to expect from this venue) were true to theme and led the storyline along well. Thoroughly enjoyed this room, great ending too!

Awesome game. Have tried a couple of other online escape rooms - this was far and away the best, and also the most like a real escape room!

Excellent stuff!

Played online and it worked really well. THe tutorial actually made it seems more confusing but it was easy to input the clues once you worked them out. The puzzles were fun, reasonably tricky but not impossible and it was all tied together with a strong story. 

Very Good Escape Room 

Was much more entertaining and fun than I was anticipating, I highly encourage anyone to give it a try if you enjoy escape rooms.

First browser based / point and click game that I've actually enjoyed! This is what all escape rooms should do to preserve a room forever after they get rid of it. Great use of Telescape, good value for money, decent puzzles.

First time playing online in this way but had an amazing time, took us a couple of minutes to get into the swing of things but then time flew! Great way to enjoy time with friends in lockdown. 

Did it virtually across the country with a group of friends and we had fun, it was a bit slow to start as we tried to figure out what each other are doing but we got in the flow and it was enjoyable.

Good length and difficulty level. Everyone could follow the story. A bit too sequential for our taste. Would fit a small party best as you can't do too many things at the same time. 

Really ugly room, but that fits the story. Most puzzles would yield a 4-5 number code or a 5 letter word, that you needed to feed into a lock. Easy interface but also a bit boring. 

For once the digitalization did not get in the way of solving the puzzles. We liked the use of inventory. It is a bit confusing with the inputting codes in a text field - would be nice if it was more button based so you can't think "well maybe it is my spelling", when a code doesn't work. When you get a hang of the system it works - it could just be better. 

We liked that you had a bible you could flip through. That was a nice touch - you could see that some care had gone into the digitization there. 

Nice entertainment, but nothing really WOW. We would recommend this room to others.

brilliant fun

Great online room developed from the original physical room in Wakefield.  Teams can work as individuals which adds to the overall experience

A very well laid out room with an abundance of locks to get started with right away. Had several puzzles I hadn’t experienced before which was refreshing and the overall aesthetic of the room felt exactly like you were in a motel room

A fun telescape game to play with friends. Nice logical, liner game with some clever puzzles!

Good puzzles. 

Great fun to do, not too difficult but still devilishly tricky!  Gets you thinking.  A fun evening with friends, would highly recommend

Loved it - almost as good as the real thing. Great alternative way of playing, really easy to use. Brought together players from South Yorkshire, Glasgow and Norfolk 🙂
