It is October 31st, the eve of Movember, and ‘T’ is working late instead of hosting his famous annual Halloween party, but this leaves him without his shaver when he needs it the most. Movember starts tomorrow, and the Wexell Corporation competitive mo-growers take it VERY seriously. So seriously in fact, that if he hasn’t shaved by midnight, they will count it as him CHEATING AT MOVEMBER. You’ll have to break into the security at the Wexell Corporation, but only if you can help his colleague, Joey, get into his house and locate his surprisingly well hidden ‘special razor’. Why does he need this specific razor? Why is Joey going along with this mad-capped adventure, and can you help a rapper come up with an on-brand rap before it’s all over? All these questions and more can only be discovered by playing ‘The Movember Virtual Moscape Room’. It’s about to get hairy!

This is a well made game, and the "enthusiast" level of difficulty was challenging.

Be aware that you will have to do a lot of web-searching, google-mapping, facebook messaging, etc.  We had a lot of browser windows open at any one time.  This type of game play is not my favorite, but the story-line and of course the social messaging made up for it.

I am so glad I got to play Moscape with my friends because the game's vibes are so good. They have gone the extra mile to make a successful game with social awareness, with bits that are just as fun as solving the cool puzzles that await throughout this funny adventure. With deadlocked it's always an escape game and a show. Lovely!

Silly and playful fun.  Note that, again, at least one person will need an active Facebook account to be able to complete the game.  Shorter than the other games, but worth the money as it goes to charity.  Laughed out loud at the ending credits.

Very enjoyable & challenging.

Great way to get the message across to people who otherwise wouldn't listen.

on entry, you are presented with a remote desktop and a Movember Puzzle Pack.  What to do? well, look at the puzzles, maybe play some music, chill, and reach out to a mo-bro or mo-sister who may have the time to join you on your quest to reunite 'T' with his "special" razor in time for Movember to begin (although, dates are meaningless really - but the game keeps track of your elapsed time, and the number of hints you ask for, and a few other things, whilst you try to help 'T' out in the Wexell Corporation.

A mix of video, Facebook messenger, external websites, and the remote desktop style means that this is a wide-ranging puzzle, designed to test your ability to crack codes, spot patterns, and have fun wondering what options to give Joey, T's long suffering partner!

Deadlocked have upped the humour and made the concept slightly easier from Cyphstress and Insiders - but then 1/3 of the purchase price is going to Movember (charity) and its still good value for money at GBP15 for 90 minutes (approx)!

The team of three played in two households. For the sake of openness, I am submitting the review having been an observer of the team, as I had the opportunity to test the game pre-launch (as a solo player completing in about 105 mins)

Reviews by escape room review sites

Deadlocked’s first two online games are much loved by enthusiasts, so the release of their third was much anticipated. And this one is released in support of the charity Movember, with a third of the price going to the charity.

You might wonder (I certainly wondered) how an escape game might be based around the concept of growing a moustache for men’s health - perhaps track down an unusually hirsute criminal? In fact it’s a tongue-in-cheek adventure based around getting a razor to its owner, wh...

With a catchy theme song, immersive narrative, wacky humour, and clever puzzles, not to mention achievements to unlock and a nifty completion certificate, there’s nothing not to love about The Movember Virtual Escape Room

This game could be played as a solo player or as a team. Either way you'll have tons of fun solving puzzles while supporting a good cause and learning about how you can help with global issues. We are thankful for Deadlocked Escape Room & Movember for creating this game and including us in the creation for such a great cause. We hope everyone could support and spread the message to check on your Mo-Bros and Mo-Sisters and see how they are doing during this difficult time and perhaps reconnect and invite them to play a game with you!

We need to help find T’s special razor before Movember starts so Wexell don’t class him as cheating!

Deadlocked’s Moscape room is great fun. Being a charity collaboration, it’s more accessible than their first two games and so is an easier entry point into Deadlocked’s puzzle-verse. So if you fancy yourself a more serious puzzler, I recommend playing the extended edition (just add EX at the end of your game code when you first play).

The game lets you become hacker and detective all in one, and its heart and humour carry you through to a satisfying conclusion.

The thing I love most about Deadlocked’s rooms is that you’re never just a player trying to get to the end goal. They craft characters that you can’t help but bond with, and the journey becomes almost as important as the destination. Like I said when playing The Cyphstess, you’re left with a warmth that goes beyond the satisfaction of winning.

Overall, Deadlock Online has created the perfect moscape online game and for a great charity. We managed to complete this in just over 2 hours 30 minutes however, we did have some technical issues which added to our time (no excuses we promise). As you can see, we took no hints and some achievements were completed but we missed out on some too, which is another little feature which we absolutely love. We were totally immersed in another adventure by the genius team at Deadlocked and always love playing their real life escape rooms to their online virtual escapes at home.
