We were expecting a good room at Extreme Escape, but this was brilliant. So much effort has gone into the room and it was totally worth it. Great hosting.
This has gone up there as one of my favorite rooms. The initial story and the booming acoustics made it feel like we were in a Disney World ride. There were lots of great reveals and surprises throughout the entire game. It's a 75-minute game but I feel like most teams with at least 50 games under their belt will do it within 60 minutes, but I guess the extra time ensures that all teams get to see the entire game and all its wow factors. Will be back to do the other two we didn't have time to try.

Definitely up there with one of my favourites! Beautiful setting, fantastic music and very creative puzzles with no lock in sight! Some very magical moments throughout, I wish i could experience it for the first time again!

This room was recommended to us and we were not disappointed! This is now one of our favourite rooms. So much thought has gone into the whole room! Good selection of puzzles and some interesting light bulb moments !

What a great room. Not a huge room but plenty to do and very unique. Good tech, no padlocks and several surprises and funny moments. Worth a trip to play this room. Their other rooms are very good as well.

Absolutely brilliant - mechanics in the room are great and really add to the experience. Be ready for several wow moments! Puzzles are good and love the theming. Progression in the room sometimes not obvious but all part of the challenge. Hint giving could sometimes be less obvious. Don’t miss this room!
This room is simply amazing - a wonderfully unique theme paired with some super cool effects and the ending is just incredible (I never saw it coming!)

This was our favourite room at the venue by quite some way. The set for this room was beautiful the effects were great and it had one of the best endings to a room that we have ever played. We thought that the theming for this room was some of the best we have ever seen. With only 1 or 2 themed padlocks this was a perfect style of room for us and we only needed 1 or 2 hints the game just seemed to click for us. If this is the direction there rooms are going I look forward to their rooms in the future and will certainly be back.
1st time at Extremescape and won't be the last. The viking room is brilliantly themed with some very clever puzzles. I was impressed as soon as we walked in the room. Roll on October when I've the pirate room booked
This gave us a huge "wow" moment, it was incredible.
The puzzles are clever, but felt a little too convoluted, where assistance was required after a fair amount of arm-folding and "so what do we do next".
Wow wow WOW! We had big expectations for this room after reading the glowing reviews on here and we were still absolutely blown away. The craftspersonship that has gone into this room is just incredible! An extremely immersive game with lots of magical surprises and incredible moments along the way. All of the puzzles were perfectly on theme and extremely fun to solve. The final 10 mins of this game was one of my favourite escape room experiences of all time. I could not recommend more, this room is an absolute must-play! We travelled 4 hours to get to Disley just for this (and the Lost Tomb) and it was well worth it! Simply stunning.
This went straight into my top 3 rooms, it’s so clever, beautiful and flows so well. We had the best time, such a clever concept and use of space building up to the epic finale. A must do room for any enthusiast.

A perfect example of how to effectively make a single room game. Theme is amazing and puzzles are clever and well-integrated into the fantastic set. Really enjoyed the finale to the game and the moments of humour sprinkled throughout. Best game at Extremescape and all round a fantastic room

It's a fairly small space but this game packs a real punch in terms of what it offers. It's a well-crafted, beautiful set up with some hilarious little touches and a truly fabulous wow moment. If you like something that never strays from the theme, that's bespoke and where there's a real touch of theatre, this one is for you.
I really wanted to love this room, but sadly if fell flat for me. - The set looks great and makes effective use of the building to enhance this. - The story didn't quite make sense, but this didn't detract from the game. - Our GM was a bit clue-happy at the beginning of the game, and considering we completed it in just over the 'expert' time, I felt we could have been left a bit longer to figure some things out ourselves. - Unfortunately, my biggest gripe is that there were at least 3-4 points in the game where the tech didn't work properly, and we were told to re-solve a puzzle or left for 10 minutes fiddling with it and doing the correct actions but nothing happening. We were told beforehand that the game was "very high tech/automated" and unlike "those places where the GM just pushes a button" - but at the end of the game when we mentioned several things not working correctly the response was 'it's out of my hands *shrug*. I'm sorry, but you should have manual overrides built into the game for these situations, especially if it is happening on multiple puzzles.
Wow. Quite simply one of the best rooms I have ever played, from theming to puzzle design to reveals. The space may be limited but everything is so cleverly done and you can see the thought that has gone into it. The story is coupled with some brilliant atmospheric events and has more than a trace of humour and at time moments of sheer magic. I’d love to say more but its one of the few rooms I wish I could forget all about it and just go and play it again.
Came to play here with work and we played all 3 games in one day.
The game was fantastically themed, with a great story line and some very impressive use of technology! Another example of a wonderful independent company who deserve a lot of credit for the hard work they put in!
I don't want to spoil anything so I'll keep this review brief. This room is simply stunning. It's a phenomenal experience with brilliant puzzles and beautiful scenery. It's by far my favourite escape room i've experienced. It balances theatrics with some creative puzzles. This should be the priority for any escape room enthusiast. It's perfect. Absolutely flawless.
Wow, wow, wow!! Having played Lost Tomb first, we headed straight into Viking, wondering what could possibly better it?! Well, we were not disappointed! Whilst Lost Tomb scored incredibly highly for our team in traditional escape room terms (and indeed, a couple of others in my group preferred it for this reason), Viking was like a wonderful piece of immersive, head-scratching theatre. Both opening and ending were remarkable, original and incredibly exciting, and even though this is a game in only one room there was more than enough to keep everyone occupied. We had an interesting moment where a team member put a piece of a puzzle in a place it shouldn’t have been put (sorry Graham and Jess!) but it was solved quickly by our wonderful hosts (even though no-one had ever done that before!!), who were attentive, kind, super-friendly and generous throughout our whole experience at this venue (thank you for the water!). One or two real think-outside-of-the-box puzzles kept us busy, and help came at just the right time. We also loved the complete immersion of the theming - no modern padlocks here, and even the hint system and timer was “camouflaged”. Some gorgeous wood and metal work and really sturdy and tactile props, fixtures and fittings made this game just sheer joy from beginning to end. And did I mention that ending?! Thanks so much Extremescape for a fantastic time, we will be back!! ❤️❤️❤️

Our first room at Extremescape has gone straight to the top as our favourite. Fully immersive, the hosts were brilliant, and the decor of the room - wow!
The way that you have to solve puzzles in this room is different to the vast majority of other rooms, and it makes a great experience. When there’s only one padlock in sight, you know it’s going to be fun! Also with it being a 75 minute room, you don’t feel the pressure of worrying about getting out.
We’ve since been back to Extremescape to complete Lost Tomb and Pirate Ship. Viking is still the best, but I would recommend taking the day to do all three as they’re all brilliant. Best company we’ve been to.

This single room game has everything and delivers the full escape experience... Amazing craftsmanship and immersive room design for the theme. Hints of humour such a well placed pun. Puzzles of pretty much every kind, logic, observation, communication and physical skill. The tech is flawless with only a single padlock and each solution triggering the next part of your game. The finale is epic and great fun. The hosts and owners were amazing with a family run business on a picturesque farm who we happily chatted to about escape rooms In my top 5 rooms easily

Just played a last minute game and wow. Amazing room, as others have said, theming is incredible. Finale is also another big wow moment. Thank you guys!
These guys have taken a rather small space and created something I've never seen before.
I'm not usually a fan of single rooms, however they have managed a create a room that makes it feel like you've played through multiple different spaces. Some great tech and awesome wizardry left us with our jaws on the flaw.
This isn't just an escape room, its an ESCAPE EXPERIENCE
Great Job (And the owners and GM were second to none, really makes all the difference)
The team behind Extremescape have done it again, delivering a beautiful set with engaging puzzles and fantastic moments of theatre. I was a little worried that they'd struggle to improve on their previous two games, but they absolutely have - coming up with plenty of new ideas to keep their loyal customers happy and putting even more polish into the experience.
Despite struggling with this room (we were tired), we absolutely loved it. From the start to the incredible ending, this game had everything and more. This room is a real gem in the escape room industry and must be played by everyone.
Overall we had a fantastic time, and the experience continued after we left the room. We spent quite a while talking to the owners and had plenty of cuddles with the resident dog (who is a rather large, but beautiful, Rottweiler-style boy). It’s obvious the passion that has gone into these rooms, and it’s well worth the visit.
A very clever and immersive room that all comes together so well. Fantastic range of puzzles and really friendly owners!
Extremescape have created another truly immersive experience. There is a reason they are seen as one of the best in the business because every minute you play their games they are a joy. They could have easily kept this as a 60 minute game but the additional 15 minutes gives you just enough time to take in the visual feast that is such an amazing game.
