Can you solve the riddles left for you by the deranged cabin owner and escape the cabin? Difficulty Level: 2.5 of 5. This game can be played only one time because you must markup, fold, and tear the game materials to solve the riddles and escape.

(Review applies to all EXIT: The Game scenarios.) Fun escape room simulation with neat puzzles -- but occasional weird leaps and red herrings. Lightweight story but good illustrations and general production value. Some "out of the box" moments. Not resettable; contents are destroyed during play.

Clearly this is an ingenious game and it provided a mixture of entertainment, challenge and frustration for about an hour an a half. Some of the puzzles yielded a satisfyingly unique and clear-cut solution, but others seemed less satisfactory and were more a case of trying several plausible options. Looking at the game materials afterwards, we entered a couple of the codes without fully understanding the reasons for their correctness. We got assistance from 11 Help Cards Anyone buying this should note that it's designed to be played once only.

The Exit range of boxed escape games by KOSMOS were previously only available in German, and have finally been released for English audiences.
Like the ThinkFun games, the game uses a code-wheel mechanism. Each puzzle in the game is marked with a symbol, and on the code-wheel you can align a three-digit or three-colour code and thereby check if you have the correct answer. With ThinkFun that was used as a verification check, with success granting you permission to open the next package, here it...
Having played a few Exit games, this was one of their easier games. This is the perfect game for people who are new to puzzle experiences or if you are an enthusiast, a more relaxing evening. We played with 2 people and as experienced puzzle solvers we found this to be a good number as there was not a lot to hand around. Even with new players, we would not recommend more than 4 people as there will not be enough for everyone to do. One tip we have is if you do not feel you have enough to solve a puzzle, make sure to review every page in the game book. There were a few times, we forgot about a message in the book that we had not used yet. Another thing we liked about this game was that it was completely self-contained. There is no outside knowledge or online presence required to complete. Everything you need is right in the box. If you cannot make it out to a physical escape room or need an escape game to take on a holiday trip, this is one that we would recommend.
As the City adventurers are unable to actually visit escape rooms, I am going to add my reviews of Escape Games in a box that can be played at home. The next game is:- Exit: The Abandoned Cabin With an escape room in a box, instead of being locked in a room, you solve puzzles to
A surprising and engaging home puzzle game best suited for a small group
As you all know by now, we love doing Escape Rooms. So we were curious about this new trend starting last year where the board game industry also wanted to be part of the Escape Game business. Various companies released their take on the “Escape Room Home Kit”, where they tried to capture the spirit of Escape Games […]
This was our first Exit the Game and I would recommend anyone who hasn't played one to give it a go ...
