It was my first escape rooms experience but really enjoyed it. There was much arguing in our group about the importance of the fan! Sadly we didn't succeed but it was great fun!
Admittedly, I wouldn't have chosen this game myself but our 9 year old now has the ER bug and decided she wanted to do an ER for her birthday party and this fitted the requirements. Essentially - they all had a great time, they were all new to ERs bar our child, and the GM did a good job with some gentle clueing although we also provided some hands off guidance from within the room. I wouldn't recommend it for enthusiast groups - the space is a little spartan and worn down, and it is a bit light on puzzles (even factoring in the above, we finished in 45 minutes) plus the ending comes as a bit of a surprise and could use some more build up. If you need to take some newbies to play somewhere, they will still have fun (but if at this venue, I'd choose Mayan Temple over the other games).

broken techpoor hosting
I was disappointed with the whole experience here to be honest, seeing as I’d heard quite positive things about this venue. The welcome was poor, three hosts sat behind a desk on their phones. Part of the game wasn't working and when we asked if it should be doing something, we weren't really helped. The themeing was good but there was no really excitement when we successfully escaped. With 3 children in tow, the lack of fanfare just made us feel quite flat. The hosting really let this one down.
This was my favourite room at Lockhouse, there's enough quality props and tech to make it feel like a treat, and the puzzles were tricky enough to get us talking for quite a while. A little bit corny but I don't mind.

hi-techstory-drivengreat hostingquite difficult
One of the more difficult ones we've done. Had to resort to asking for a lot of clues to be able to finish in time. One small section had actually broken which the gamesmaster had to come in to fix for us but the room was still fun
A zajszűrő fejhallgatók kellemes meglepetésnek számítottak. Néhány izgalmas pillanat és érdekes technológiai megoldás! Szép folyamatosság, nem túl lineáris. Alig várom, hogy visszatérjek, és kipróbáljam a Saw-t, amit a házigazda ajánlott. Beautifully executed with a very cool design. I hadn’t played this room prior to its move from TRAP so cannot comment on anything theming wise that has been changed. Zoli (I think) was a great host, super kind and gave us just enough help. The noise cancelling headphones were a lovely touch. Some exciting moments and an interesting use of tech! Nice flow and not too linear. I’m looking forward to going back and trying Saw which the host recommended.
Incredible room, the theme and attention to detail crafting the room is brilliant. Host was a pleasure, Burt. Only issue we found was at the start, a video tells you to ignore a lock on a desk, it must be full of electrics for the room, but it made us discount that desk draws entirely, turns out we needed to open the draw next to this one! Brilliant room though, suspect some will find it very challenging but it flowed well for our team and we had a great time, already planning our next weekend away back here to do a few of their rooms it was that good!
This game is a lot of fun! Theming is very much on point and there are some good hands-on puzzles. There is a LOT to do in this room though so inexperienced players or smaller teams may want to consider a larger team!

My first ever escape room and the best of memories (although I see it's sadly now closed). An awesome 3 room adventure with a cool centrepiece and great props (white coat and guns really made it immersive!)
This room favours smaller teams as some spaces are small and larger teams will fall over each other, but its a great room to play as there is a good variety of puzzles, and lots of 'doing' so teams an divide into those who solve and those who do. The production is excellent and really does look like a 1980s bunker, and the narration works excellently with the puzzles.

For some reason both the escape game venues currently open in central Cambridge use room designs from Hungarian company TRAP. I played most of the TRAP games in Budapest some years ago, but Armageddon is one of the designs that didn't exist at that time, so I happily booked in to try it when passing through town. I remembered the Budapest TRAP rooms as as solid and slick mass-market games, but then they were some of the first escape rooms I ever played, so I didn't have much to compare them to....
The less experienced escapers in our team found the room to be a lot of fun, but those with a few more escapes under our belt were left a little underwhelmed. There’s a nice variety of puzzles but it’s a pretty short experience and a very crowded one with seven players.
A strong room with impressive set design and puzzles we've not seen anywhere else.
