Having done the rest of Tulleys rooms we knew thise was going to be well themed, which it was, but it turned out to be my favourite Tulleys room. Really good use of tech and traditional puzzles. Really immersive.
Our final room on our first trip to Tulleys, and this one also didn't let the side down. Absolutely loved it. There's a lot to it, and having a bigger group definitely helped in some cases, but we did get in each other's way. The start was pretty standard, but there were some fun diversions as it went on. Yet again, we were foiled by a simple search for one item, but we'd have been disappointed had we got it straightaway. 😉
If we wanted to make one criticism, we could query why this takes place in the future - you wouldn't be out of line to think that it could have taken place in the 21st Century.
A must do, I'd say as a group of four.
We were overwhelmed by this size of Dodge City, with it only being our second room ever. Visually a very impressive room. From our very limited experience at the time it lacked clever puzzles and was just a bit too numbers and locks. After failing miserably we were offered a 50% off voucher and we then returned later on and succeeded.
Potentially one of my top 5 rooms so far! Fully immersive from start to finish with amazing room designs and a large variety of puzzles that worked really well with the theming. Great for groups that like to 'divide and conquer'. So much to do! We didn't have a single moment to stop and slow down, there was always something for all 4 of us to be doing. Good communication is key and don't overlook the obvious!
Tyler hosted for us and was fantastic.
All the tulleys rooms are fantastic, but our tendency to overthink came through in this one. The start is very clever and needs very good communication skills. As with all the rooms, if you want an extra challenge do it with a team of two!
The themeing on this game was fantastic. We did a lot of shouting and running. The puzzles weren't hugely difficult there were just a lot of them and with this room for a small team, again if you divide and conquer you stand a much better chance of escaping.
Really enjoyed again 2 particular puzzles I hadn't seen in an escape room before and the story and theming for us was very well done. Really enjoyed this game!
First attempt at the Dodge room. Really enjoyed the theming here. There is so so so much to do but a very fun room. We spent far too long at the very beginning and only got about 75% through on first attempt.
But we loved it so used the 50% return offer and went back the next day. Still got a bit stuck on one of the new puzzles but made it out with just under 20mins to go on the 2nd attempt!
An enormous set that is crammed with puzzles and is absolutely on point with theming. This one felt like a marathon with just two of us as there was just such a vast quantity of stuff to do so there was a real sense of achievement when we escaped!
It's difficult to describe this without spoiling the wow factor... Expect to see and experience sonething incredible!
A very large escape room and all members had things to do. Just made it out with seconds to spare
Aabsolutely loved this game. We played as a 4, all enthusiasts with hundreds of games under our belts. This game kept all 4 of us busy from start to finish.
There's a great range of puzzles in this room. Some we had never seen before.
We encountered one tech issue at the end which lost us a bit of time but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Lovely GM who was welcoming and helpful.
So much to do and all in such a relatively small space too (small for Tulleys!). This is a wonderful adventure in the old west where every single square inch of the area is used and the puzzles are both inventive and varied. The hosting was excellent with nudges coming just at the right point and a very speedy intervention when we had a prop issue.
A simply marvellous room
Another high quality and impressive scale room from Tulleys. Loved the theme and some of the clever puzzles and mechanics that fitted especially well with it.
Difficulty-wise we knew we were in for a tough time, especially as we didn't have our usual team. Though we didn't make it out before the hour, we really enjoyed the challenge of Dodge City. A word of advice - I wouldn't attempt this room with fewer than 3-4 experienced players, because of the volume and scale of needs to be done.
Our GM was fantastic - clear, helpful and positive both before and after the room. We'd previously had a disappointing experience with a GM in Outfitters, who gave us constant hints unprompted and we got out super early. Our GM here was much more balanced, only nudging us along a couple of times when we were nearer the end and clearly behind. IMO it's much more enjoyable to be given a chance to find and solve puzzles ourselves, even if we don't 'win' the overall game.
Just left totally deflated. Played as a team of 2 couple of years ago before they extended the time. It was our 70th room having a 100% escape rate and we didn't even get half way. Games master handed us 50% off to try again but honestly felt like they knew 2 players couldn't complete it so to make a bit of money we'll let them try again.
Shame and really put us off returning for other games. Just trying to make as much money as they can.
Dodge is the weakest of the Tulleys Rooms (not including the smaller games in the trailer outside). It's not a bad room by any means, just feels very sprawling and all over the place, in terms of theme, story and puzzles. The start is good, and then chaos unfurls as a larger area opens up and it dawns just how much there is to solve. Unlike Nethercott, it's challenging to split your group into multiple rooms which makes it challenging to progress in good time. The final puzzle is poor, which is unfortunate as it's a cool bit of tech, our GM had to open a side door to fix it for us mid game.
Otherwise, the room design and build is great, plus the props are of a great quality. The shooting mechanic was cool but didn't feel it worked too well, and there were some screens that did nothing in game. A decent game, but doesn't compare to the other Tulleys rooms
Having commented that the GM in Outfitters hinted us a bit too readily, the GM for Dodge City was spot on and one of the best hinters our group has had. We needed only a couple of tiny hints to complete the room and the GM let us figure stuff out for ourselves as much as he could.
Good fun - apparently we completed about 80% of the game in the hour, partly due to a rather slow start on our part and partly because there is a LOT to do. Not surprisingly, some people go back for a second attempt and can see why. Nice set dressing and many rooms to get through!
Update: we did indeed return In Nov 21, and succeeded on our second attempt 🙂 it's a very fun game, but we did have some issues (with a broken yet crucial prop, and then a broken puzzle at the end which required GM to override, which was a bit of a shame). Still kept very busy on the second run through, so felt like good value.
So much puzzle content! High proportion on which were very good. A couple of hints needed for some of the more obscure puzzles/hints, due t the sheer number. First time in a while I've felt under time pressure - would happily take 5 people along with hindsight.
Fantastic theming, which really adds to the game as well. That alone would have been enough to have a fun time, but combining with the puzzle content makes for a fantastic experience.
One thing is that some parts of the room do get quite warm. I wouldn't go into the room too overly dressed!

Dodge City is one of a small number of games that I deliberately played way after most enthusiasts had rushed to it, because expectations were high enough that it seemed worth saving for a suitable moment. I also wanted a larger team than usual. Where I choose to play most games with a team of two or three, Dodge was reputably only a little less tough than the infamous Nethercott Manor. We did in fact escape it in time, but with only a few minutes spare, and I was glad we’d brought the extra han...
Dodge City was our first room…and one of their hardest! Immediately on entering it’s obvious how Tulley’s have earned their reputation – the set design is amazing and extremely immersive, and there are surprises throughout the game. Even as a hardened spotter of fake doors and moving bookshelves, I soon gave up trying to anticipate what was coming next.
