poor hostingvery easy

Hosting let it down. Clues galore. Was given solutions rather than nudges and escaped with 30 minutes to go.

Broken tech across a lot of the room. Hosting was poor. Fast clues, no conversation and only interested in being reviewed

Once again, locked up in seperate cells you have to escape before the guard comes to take you to court in 60 minutes.  There's a lot to do in this room including a maths puzzle that they give you a calculator for!  A couple of logic puzzles but there's a lot to do so take a group of 3-4.

Fun room, started blindfolded and then wow when it comes off, divided and unsure if you'll ever escape...but we did!

A good classic prison escape. I had done a few before coming to play this one and it held up as one of the better ones. Very traditional but its good clean fun!

Underrated game. Lots of fun ideas and great puzzles (with one tortuous maths puzzle). Clue HQ venues do tend to vary in quality from site to site but Somerton, where are played this, is well maintained with free parking outside and friendly staff.

A classic theme and a really solid game that we enjoyed trawling through. It's a bit low on lighting in here, which made some of the locks a bit difficult to see and that's always something I find a little bit frustrating but that's entirely personal preference so it might bother some!

Some solid puzzles and a nice bit of communication needed.

It’s a very plain, beat up room. Honestly it’s just a bit dull.

No stand out puzzles (and very slow computer based ones!). All in all, lacking in imagination and care.

Reviews by escape room review sites

As one of Clue HQ's older games, Cell Block C is available at over half a dozen locations around the country, and I had not rushed to try it on the assumption that its age meant it would be one of the company's less interesting offerings. But it neatly filled a gap in our day's schedule of escape rooms, and I was pleased to discover it actually stood up well to most of Clue HQ's newer escape rooms.

Imprisoned for a crime you didn't commit due to the machinations of Clue HQ's usual bad guy antag...

We haven't done many but this was the best ClueHQ room we've done so far. Good room design and only one annoying puzzle, not a bad way to spend an hour
The mix of tech, mechanical challenges and maths-type puzzles is maybe a better fit for a younger generation, and the room would be easier with 3 players on-point
