Our game master Johnathan was good fun and got things off to a perfect start.
Can't wait to try the other rooms!
We love detective type stories and this one delivered. It is quite easy and is probably best for beginners, but we also had fun.
Part one was really what we came for - the plot twist in part two was not really our cup of tea storywise, but the puzzles were fine and not hard. You could probably say that this escape game is more focused on the story than the puzzles and that makes it very inclusive also for a younger demographic.
Tech wise this is based on the telescape platform and it worked well all the way except for sounds, where some was very low in volume and some was very high in volume. Lots of videos used to create the story.
I played this with my after school STEM students and they loved it!! It was just hard enough for us. They are middle schoolers. Thank you!!
Brilliantly constructed game with great humour, highly recommend it.
Played solo, good fun.
Very entertaining and unique! Light-hearted and refreshing game, really good implementation into digital format.
Good room, some novel puzzles, and a good variety. Jack was a great host. So much so we booked to return the next day.
The clue system is very creative, however we did find the clue system in the second half to be a bit confusing at times, hard to pick apart actual clues from story/theming... But it did work well for this story driven room.
The room is advertised as a murder mystery, however the story takes a bit of a turn toward the magical around the halfway point and we thought the themes clashed a bit, especially from what the room is advertised as.
There were a couple of points where we had some broken tech, one of the automatically opening parts needed an extra whack from us and we had a tough time getting something laser related to activate. But I wouldn't say this was overly detrimental to our experience!
Overall it is definitely worth a playthrough at very least and we will be back to try their other rooms at some point in the future!
A solid offering with some nice quirks and straightforward puzzles. It is definitely one that's on the easy side, as we flew through it, but that's not to say it wasn't enjoyable and we appreciated the different kind of take on a common theme.
The hosting here is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The hosts at cryptology are great and they always make time to discuss the room with us afterwards. We enjoyed this room a lot, but I would say slightly less than their other two rooms (Afterlife and First Contact). The set dressing felt a little less immersive and there was a bit that had a lot of recorded noise which got a little overwhelming (but maybe we were just taking too long 😅). Overall good fun with plenty to do.
Really enjoyed this escape room. Very different to standard “get out the door” ones. Found the storyline a little odd, but was good fun nonetheless. I liked the use of tech and and the different setting were so different, it was cool.
A fairly common theme but the story takes an interesting turn. Clue system is very inventive and the theming, whilst initially sparse and uninspiring, is done well overall. Some good puzzles (if not a tad frustrating) and great logic/flow.
Enjoyed the room, interesting with the way they've decided to create this room in terms of story line. Not the usual ending.
A murder mystery done very different kept us on our toes! It had some puzzles we had not seen before and whilst it was on the easier side it was very enjoyable.
The interactive system used in the game is like nothing I had seen!
Enjoyed this a lot - some original puzzles, lovely flow to it.
We just flew through this one. Wish we had played it in real life as we would have liked to watch some specific game mechanic IRL.

This is a really fun room with the ‘things to do’ element of the room meaning everyone can get really stuck in and feel properly involved. The clue system, as with Cryptology’s other rooms, is interactive and funny, and perfectly designed to fit in with the room’s story and theme, making it a thoroughly immersive experience. Additionally, as you progress through the room the pressure ramps up to encourage you to get everything solved in time. This is cleverly done and Hugh Dunnitt is a really enjoyable and commendable room!
