A very immersive room that makes you feel like you really are in war torn times! Well themed puzzles that revolve around items of the time and the old fashioned props and scenery keeps you well immersed. The radio presenter styled clues were charming that kept you thinking on your feet. Overall, an amazing room that is very well thought out that keeps you thinking outside the box!
An AMAZING game with wacky live actors that help you through the room. Dynamic puzzles that really get you thinking. Great for a larger groups as many puzzles can be done at once with different levels experience. Every time the live actors were in the room it was a good laugh and all of the different sequences were fun whilst keeping us immersed. Definitely a room like no other that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience!
Full disclosure: I work at XscapeNow which is now the sister-company to Level Up.
That being said, my friend said this was her favourite room she’d ever played! It was bonkers from start to finish and a lot of fun. The set is incredibly immersive and the live actors really add to this.
If you’re going to play, do make sure you have at least one able-bodied member of your team capable of climbing!
I have done things in this escape room that I have never done in any other rooms! Includes very lively live actors and some fun challenges. My main complaint would be that we felt the people running it saw it more as an experience than a typical escape room so at points we weren’t allowed enough time to solve puzzles and instead were rushed through which didn’t feel good. It was meant to be 75 minutes but we got out in well under an hour so I don’t know why we weren’t given the chance to do things properly - maybe the live actors were perhaps keen to get us through so they could be done.
We found this a difficult room to escape out of partly due to some game flaws and partly due to our own stupidity!
Bonkers from start to finish. An amazing game from the different intro to the hilarious moments en route. Even though the theatrics take precedence the puzzles were still plentiful and enjoyable too!
Nice use of projection and height to create an eerie feeling within the room. One intense jump scare but the rest was OK. Fun puzzles and range of tech too. The ending was really enjoyable!
Great use of space and a nice framing mechanism for each section of the game. Enjoyed the special effects and the variety of puzzles
Some really clever puzzles within this game especially in the second half where the game opens up into a more non-linear feast. Particularly impressed by a beefy logic puzzle! This room was let down by its age and the sheer difficulty in hearing each other in the opening sections.
Such a fun experience, many "never seen this before" moments, and a superbly unique intro!
. It was such a fun experience- we played the mystery manor and Jack was our host. He was so kind and knew everything and every instruction bang on point, making our experience feel unreal! We will definitely be coming back soon.
After doing two of LevelUp’s other games and just loving them, we decided to come back the next day to do this one. Unfortunately it was significantly less good for two main reasons.
Firstly, broken tech. Moving puzzle pieces that wouldn’t stay in place and kept falling out. A magnet lock that popped open without us having completed the required trigger to open it. A light that was supposed to come on but didn’t. One of the initial paired starting cells was missing a step stool making it difficult to look at/interact with things at ceiling level; again, when we asked why, we were told it was broken.
Secondly, hosting issues. There are loads of puzzles and lots to do for a team of 2 people. More than once we were both working on puzzles and a hint would come through for a totally different puzzle that we hadn’t got to yet. This not only breaks the immersion and the train of thought, but also spoils the fun of the puzzles still to come! I get that the host is probably working off some time-based cues to decide when to give these hints, but to be honest unless we were literally stuck and wandering around lost, I’d rather just be allowed to crack on with it, even if that meant we risked not completing in time.
Excellent room design with great use of space. I’ve done a few WW2 rooms before but this is particularly evocative and immersive. Good puzzles and some delightfully surprising moments. You can tell the hosts/designers are enthusiasts who must love what they do here.
Never in a million years would I have predicted some of the twists and turns of this room! A truly unique experience. I’ve always avoided games with live actors before, but it’s done with so much heart and charm here that I didn’t feel awkward or intimidated at all. Definitely pay attention to the warnings given at the time of booking; things get quite physical at multiple points as you move around the space. Unmissable, and worth making the journey for (unless you are proudly from Birmingham or Coventry in which case you may find the experience largely slanderous!).
do it in theatrical mode
Ok, first off I know I’ve given this game a lower score, but I want to explain why. I really wanted to enjoy Mission: Abducted, but it just didn’t deliver the experience we were hoping for.
*Spoiler warning*
The game starts with a split beginning in very low lighting, where one player has to figure out how to restore the lights. You also can’t hear each other until you’ve completed a certain task, which made the start quite frustrating, being separated in the dark without communication wasn’t a fun or engaging way to begin.
During the game, a few puzzles didn’t seem to work properly. We solved one only to be told that it can sometimes give the wrong answer, which was disappointing. There were also a lot of sorting and maths-based puzzles, which made the flow feel a bit slow and repetitive at times.
We had actually planned to book another game straight after this one, but decided not to after finishing Mission: Abducted, as we didn’t feel confident about what the other rooms might be like. It’s a shame, because the concept and theme have potential but unfortunately, the execution and puzzle design let it down for us.
Except… the train’s not going anywhere until you fix the engine, better hop to it then!
This was a fun and lively game, full of characters, chaos, and energy from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to beforehand described it as bonkers and mad, and they weren’t wrong! It’s a real performance-based experience with lots of interaction and humour.
That said, I did notice that no one really mentioned the puzzles, and after playing, I can see why. They’re, dare I say, a little on the plain side compared to everything else going on. As someone who really values the puzzle side of an escape room, I came out wishing for a bit more challenge and variety. A few parts of the set also felt a little tired, which slightly took away from the immersion.
For me personally, it just wasn’t quite my style of game. I tend to prefer stronger puzzle flow over performance, and I can get overstimulated when there’s a lot happening at once. To be fair, the team do check at the start if you’re okay with loud sounds and actor interaction, which is a great touch, so it’s nice that they give you the choice.
Overall though, it’s a good, well-run game that really shines for players who love getting into character and embracing the madness. If you’re up for a wild, theatrical experience, you’ll have a blast. If you’re more puzzle-focused like me, it might not fully hit the spot, but I can absolutely see why others love it.
Really debating over a 4 and 4.5.
It starts on such a high moment and wrong foots you off the bat. Refreshing after playing so many rooms. The actors were brilliant.
Just the puzzles and over all look just a little rough. Still had fun but think it would work really well with just two people!
Wow! This game completely caught me off guard. We had previously done all of the other rooms here and had some mixed opinions, so I had fairly average expectations for one. Thinking it may be your typical runaway train room. I WAS WRONG.
This room is an absolute blast from start to finish, with a very unique start to the experience. Absolutely hilarious, made better by the fantastic GMs. Yes, this room does contain actors. But they are beautifully woven into the chaos and story of the room and are purely for entertainment and storytelling; there's nothing scary here whatsoever, so if you are cautious of actors, you need not worry.
It is a pretty physical room, with some tight spaces and many, MANY fun surprises which I won't ruin for you all. This room is perfect for families and friends alike and theres something for everyone. The puzzles are varied, fairly easy and well themed to keep everything feeling immersive.
Definately worth a visit for this one. All I will say is; embrace the chaos, have fun and prepare for a lot of laughing!
This was an absolute riot from start to finish - it's difficult to say much without giving anything away but this was such a hilarious experience. It's a little different to your standard room! It's a bit on the easier side and there are a few bits of theming that I think could have been done better and maybe made a little safer too (most of it is good though) - but all in all we had a brilliant time that was definitely memorable!
Definitely up there with one of my favourite games some clever puzzles, elements we have never seen before and an absolutely bonkers ending you will not expect.
Very fun and different game to what I've seen in the past. One to try for sure if you're in the area!
Thank you Britney for hosting us, you were lovely!
Absolutely brilliant fun. I have not laughed so much in a long time. I've only done 10 rooms so far, although I have been picking some good ones deliberately and this is now my number 1. There were so many new things in here that I'd not seen before, including live actors - which as a shy person - was a bit daunting at times but they were amazing and I did my best to join in a bit and I laughed a lot. I also liked that it was slightly longer (75 minutes). We got out with a minute or two to spare.
A brilliantly unique experience – nothing like your standard escape room! We were laughing from start to finish and had an absolute blast. The hosting was spot-on from beginning to end. Can’t recommend it enough!
This game was exceptionally brilliant. It is completely original, fast-paced, chaotic, mad, hilarious.... kind of like a farcical pantomime, or a children's party when all the kids have had too much sweets... run by a bonkers cast of high-energy character actors.
As far as I understand it, basically any spare LevelUp staff who are in the building and available come to join in your game as "extras" alongside the main GM at certain set points of the story. Our game involved four cast members, each wearing a variety of hats (both figuratively, and literally!) who enter and exit the scene with such energy you are swept along with their enthusiasm.
It breaks so many "rules" about what you can expect to see in an escape room it's impossible not to just have a massive gleeful smile and constantly wonder "wtf just happened?!!!!"
My only concern is that, like all live theatre, you get out of it what you put in; if you are of a somewhat socially awkward disposition and don't enjoy interacting with characters, or if you have kids that get overwhelmed by loud noises or running around, this might not be the best game for you. Quiet and contemplative puzzles it is not! It does also involve some crawling and climbing, so might not be that accessible if you have mobility problems.
But for anyone else, I absolutely cannot recommend this joy of a game highly enough: Play. It. Now.
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, this game nails immersion in a totally unique way. The storytelling was next-level, with some genius moments we’re still talking about. The puzzles were clever without being frustrating, and the performance element added real magic. Easily one of the most memorable and well-executed games we’ve ever played.
As stated in previous reviews, this room is an absolutely crazy experience! You really can never guess what is going to be revealed next.
Its hard to discuss the main elements of The Shrewsbury Express without providing spoilers but let’s just say they have some very unique puzzles for the UK as well as a method to deliver a code for a lock that is certainly a first! The GM’s stay fantastically in character throughout and aren’t afraid for a bit of interaction!
All the above elements really make you forget you’re in the middle of a shopping center, this room exceeded all expectations and is a must do if you’re in the area.
We have not laughed this much in a room, for a long time. Great hosting and a great time.
Played all the LevelUp games now and this one is by far my favourite! So much fun!
Very different, very funny, not your usual escape room! We really, really enjoyed this room. Great hosting, throughout. Highly recommend this room.
What a ride! We’ve ticked off a fair few rooms across the Midlands (Telford, Birmingham, Stoke, you name it), but this one had vibes.
Theming was spot on, puzzles were clever without being head-melting, and there were moments that genuinely made us all laugh (and scream a bit, not gonna lie). We’ve done harder rooms, sure — but for story, atmosphere and sheer fun factor, this one’s right up there.
Massive shoutout to our Game Master too, who absolutely nailed the balance between helpful and hands-off. Top-tier hosting.
If you’re into immersive, story-driven games with a few surprises up their sleeve — this is one to do. Already eyeing up our next one at LevelUp!
What a game! Definitely not one for the faint-hearted – this was easily the most interactive experience I’ve ever played, and I was all in for it. The opening sequence was brilliantly crafted, and I loved how it kicked off with such a clever start. The puzzles were a solid mix of tech and padlocks, with some fresh ideas I hadn’t seen before. As this is our more local room, the team mentioned that a few puzzles had changed since Christmas, though some core features remained the same. The whole thing was hilarious and full of surprises – we never knew what was coming next. Huge thanks to Colin!
First of two we played at LevelUp and I absolutely loved this one.
The use of space in this room is really impressive and makes for some unique moments. It can be easy to ignore tech in a room themed to WWII but this room managed to incorporate some exciting elements without breaking the immersion. Another stand out in this game is the clue system which allowed for the GM to really have fun and immerse us in the storyline which I always appreciate.
Finally, the ending of this game was just unbelievable! I won't spoil it but I would be surprised if any team could predict what was coming for them in the last moments before game end.
The second room we played at LevelUp, there's a few options you can select when booking and we went for the Pro mode with Enhanced Theatrics. I'm often concerned that games with multiple difficulty levels can leave behind red herrings of clues for different modes but this game dealt with it well, I was never led astray.
In both the rooms we played I enjoyed how there were some subtle nudges to point you in the right direction by way of lighting changes or gentle audio cues. It's something I've seen lots of places ignore but when done correctly, as they've done here, it just makes the game flow nicely (it also stops our ego's from being hurt by needing a more obvious clue!).
This room was all about the theatrics with a lovely set design and some pretty clever tech leading to some jumpscares that really got us, although we were asking for it after booking Enhanced Theatrics! Less padlock orientated than the other game we played with some varied methods for entering codes which I enjoy.
Wasn’t for us. Had to be told throughout what had unlocked/opened so lost immersion.
We really felt this room delivered at LevelUp, taking us back to the streets of the 1940s.
The game flow was smooth, with some carefully considered puzzles for the time period, I really enjoyed the clue system in this game.
And the ending had my jaw on the floor….. I just didn’t see that coming.
The set design was impressive, but what really stood out was the attention to detail in the lighting, sound, and special effects elements that are often overlooked but made a huge difference in creating an immersive atmosphere. The way the lighting subtly shifted to guide progress and the well-timed sound effects really added to the experience without being overwhelming.
The puzzles were varied and well-integrated into the story, requiring a mix of logic, observation, and teamwork. It never felt like we were just solving tasks for the sake of it everything had a purpose, and the game flowed really well from start to finish.
Another highlight was the way the room provided feedback. When we made progress, things reacted in a way that felt natural and satisfying, keeping the momentum going. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into making sure players stay engaged without feeling lost or frustrated.
Overall, this is a good game that blends great theming with clever puzzle design and impressive tech. A brilliant choice for families, first-timers, and experienced players alike!
My wife and I absolutely loved this one! As others have mentioned, it's an 'intense', in-your-face immersive experience with some brilliantly funny moments that remind you it's not just about escaping, it's about having an unforgettable time. The game is packed with spectacular moments, and for us, the sheer enjoyment of the 'experience' itself was the real highlight. If you're looking for an room that delivers more on excitement and entertainment in equal measure, this one is a must!
An absolutely bonkers experience that's not for the shy, retiring type; role-play is fairly essential in some form or another and the hosts are excellent at providing those opportunities to join in with the fun. There's all sorts of things going on in here and some very inventive things indeed, particularly taking into account the space. Our preferences are geared more towards puzzles and there aren't loads in here but it's a real hoot and we can imagine families with children absolutely loving this.
Wow. I really enjoyed this room, there were soooo many 'Fun' moments, that I just did not except and see coming, we played this with some family friend's, and their children everyone left buzzing about a part they had played. They have really outdone themselves here and I really would recommend giving it a play.
It is not the most difficult room at all, however we had a great experience.
I really enjoyed the concept and backstory of the game, it was well thought out and something a little unique. There were a few clever things cropping up, and some great laughs along the way. I found it a little on the 'spooky' side but nothing too extreme.
The game runs in two different versions, but the host made it very clear what would be needed and what would not be, which really did not bother us at all.
We thought this was such a fun, fun, fun game, it is not what we expected at all from their festive offering. There were some really really cool moments throughout, and something for everyone. Puzzles were not too difficult and all made sense and flowed itself together really nicely.
I really enjoyed the festive touches, and the characters we had interaction with.
If you are around to play this I really would not miss it this Christmas.
Another trip to LevelUp and another incredible room. This might just take the spot of our favourite that they offer, and is definitely up there in our top Christmas rooms. As always, there’s very unique surprises that I won’t spoil, but I do want to say how refreshing it always is to find some things you’ve never seen before! I get the sense that they try to out do themselves each time and it’s easy to feel the excitement. The set is incredibly cool, with some fantastic details and the hosting was just the icing on the cake. They’ve really taken immersion to the next level with this one and we truly left having not just enjoyed but also feeling like we’d had a real adventure. Coming out into the axe throwing venue felt a little like stepping back out of Narnia through the wardrobe, and was a really welcome treat as we actually had some time to spare before dinner. Overall a good selection of puzzles and a great completion to their offering. If you’re looking for a Christmas game you absolutely cannot miss this!
This was our favourite game of the day! We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the immersive theming and the unique game format. It was clever and thoughtfully designed, with some funny moments that made it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We truly had a brilliant experience—thank you!
The use of space was impressive, and we loved the variety throughout the game. The special effects were brilliantly executed, creating an immersive atmosphere that truly captured the WWII theme—definitely one of the best we’ve experienced! The hosting was top-notch, and we had a fantastic chat with our Games Master, Nye, after the game before moving on to our next adventure. Highly recommended!
The third and final game of our morning here, and in my opinion this is their strongest room. It is super family-friendly and definitely suitable for kids and adults alike. Don't be put off by the spooky theme because it's a lot of fun and not scary at all.
It's a really clever game with some beautiful theming and it's very different to their other games. The puzzles are really creative and we found ourselves really immersed in the story with all of its twists and turns, at times forgetting that we needed to solve a mystery.
I wouldn't say there are red herrings, but due to there being a standard and a pro mode, not all of the puzzle elements in the room will be used for your run-through, which is something to keep in mind.
We also had a different GM for this room compared to the other 2 and it made a big difference. If there was a maglock that opened which we didn't notice, there would be a ghostly reminder or hint to guide us in the right direction. Though I will say that this was maybe a little too direct at times.
Overall a really fun room that I highly recommend for families.
However, this room unfortunately had me annoyed from the very beginning. The rooms are intentionally dark to begin with, which is fine. But this meant that I was feeling around, poking and prodding everything to work out what we should be doing. Until i came across something sticky... Luckily we brightened the room up pretty quickly, only for me to discover that the sticky feeling was wet paint. Bright green, wet paint. The colour had come off the top of one of the puzzle elements and instead of just letting us work out what the missing colour was (which would have been easy enough), they covered it in wet paint. I got very lucky that i didn't wipe it all over myself and had a tissue on hand to clean up a bit (as there are no toilets in the venue, only the shopping centre, which would have taken time away from the room).
Moving on from that sticky situation.... there was a really great balance between the 2 starting zones, meaning there was lots of back and forth between the mini-teams and not too much waiting around for the others. We were out of there pretty quickly and reunited to find LOTS more puzzles to complete.
The main bulk of the room is almost entirely non-linear, so we were in our element with the divide and conquer approach. There is a great variety of puzzles in here and a mixture of combination locks, keys and maglocks.
We managed to skip a few steps in here and soon realised that we needed to go back and complete everything. You will need to do everything, so there is a lot to do.
This is where we encountered issue number 2. There is a puzzle where we found a solution which perfectly met the criteria and it didn't work. We got stuck here for quite a while trying different solutions, coming up with multiple different solutions and nothing working, until finally one did. We asked the GM at the end of the game why the other solutions didn't work and she couldn't give us a reason. The reasoning she gave for the correct solution, also matched the first answer we gave but it didn't work. They clearly haven't accounted for there being any other solutions, which there are. So this was rather annoying.
Getting into the last room felt a bit janky and I wasn't sure we were even doing it right, as it was quite a stretch at times and felt like we were taking shortcuts, but apparently, it was correct. All of which was done whilst being blasted with really loud music so we couldn't hear each other very well.
Overall, it was fun, and the puzzles were good, but much like the first room we did, it needs fine-tuning and some better thought putting into certain elements.
Edit...
LevelUp have since been in touch and provided a detailed explanation on the solution to the puzzle I mentioned. Their reasoning does now make sense, however, it certainly didn't at the time. Maybe it just didn't click for our team, but personally, I would just swap it out for a clearer puzzle.
This is a lovely room with wonderful theming and a great use of space. There are some physical elements to this room so it isn't advised for anyone with mobility issues. We really enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the room kept us all fairly busy the whole time. There was a lovely flow to it and a good sense of progression due to the clever layout.
There were some really nice effects used in the room.... and one not-so-nice one. We were warned about said effect at the beginning and asked if we were happy, however, what was described wasn't really how it was at all. I don't know if it was a bit broken but it ended up just being unpleasant and annoying. This could be utilised really well but for us it was not.
However, my main issue with this room was a GM issue. There was a certain puzzle where we completed it pretty quickly and received a code, tried it in all available padlocks to no avail. We even had multiple team members try the locks just in case, but nothing. So we began spiraling, searching everywhere for a different code or a different way to interpret the information around us. We must have spent the best part of 15 minutes believing we were wrong. Eventually giving in and doing what we never do... asking for a hint. To which we were given the response "You have the right code, you just need to give the lock a really strong pull". In the pre-room briefing we were told; no excessive force was needed. They really should have mentioned how that doesn't include padlocks, because some of them really did need some force. Also, not letting us stew for 15 minutes and just a polite hint to give the lock a strong pull would have been appreciated.
Overall, it's a really nice room with great potential. It has some lovely puzzles, great theming and is really family-friendly. With some fine-tuning, it would be a fantastic room. The small issues were annoying but not enough to spoil the fun.
This room delivered a unique experience with its innovative concept and high-tech elements. The puzzles are cleverly designed and engaging, striking a perfect balance between challenge and fun. The attention to detail was good and we felt it to be an immersive atmosphere set this room apart from the rest. A solid choice.
We had a fantastic time playing Overload at LevelUp Escapes, the host was super helpful and we enjoyed chatting in character. As others have said we thought this was a top tier WW2 game, there are some great effects, throughout, and a few things we have not seen before.
Look forward to returning to the venue.
Really enjoyable room. Not usually a great fan of WW2 games but this was very good. Excellent use of space and some funny moments. Excellent hosting added to the experience. Worth a visit.
A nice, easy-going room with a range of puzzle types. A variation between padlocks and maglocks but leaning more towards padlocks. Fun use of ‘levels’ but felt like there were some missed opportunities for using this unique space for puzzles. Nice use of tech. Puzzles were simple to solve. Lost a chunk of time (twice) due to something opening and not hearing anything/being signalled or signposted. With a few tweaks this could be a strong room. It was good fun for a Saturday day out and a good excuse to visit Shrewsbury. We were a bit gutted for the GM to open the door to the room to show us the ‘obstacle’ before we even started and were told lots of details about the rooms’ features before we even started. It would be better to just experience it rather than be told about it as it takes away that magic moment.
We returned to LevelUp to sample their newest offering Mystery Manor, it was very different to their other games, and almost a cluedo styled game, which we enjoyed.
The use of space and set is again fantastic from them, and I really did feel as though I was in a Manor House. And some of the special effects I really did not see coming.
Everything made good sense and Phillip (Victor) was a fab host, and a very good laugh.
We will be back.
Very well themed WW2-themed escape room, this one truly exceeded our expectations.
What stood out most were the interactive elements that brought the scenario to life. The use of space is also fantastically designed
The puzzles were both challenging and logical, seamlessly blending into the storyline. The room captured the essence of the era and kept us engaged throughout. A perfect balance of intrigue and immersion.
While a space theme wouldn't be our first choice of theme, this super level of challenge definitely would; tricky, we would imagine, for beginners due to the volume of puzzles and to the tricky split start, this really got us scratching our heads at times.
The split start is a decent chunk of the game as opposed to a gimmick at the beginning and there's a bit of work to be done before you can communicate effectively enough to rejoin each other in the main area of gameplay. There was another decent chunk of puzzles - with one logic puzzle being particularly good - before the game finale, which was another lovely physical challenge.
Overall, it's a lovely game with plenty going on.
A WW2 room is always a winner with us but this particular one delivered - after about 270 rooms and countless occasions when we've been called upon to save Britain from an incoming Nazi invasion - a completely new element! It's a cracking room that provides a bumper crop of puzzles and a tense atmosphere, while delivering on the fun and the Blitz spirit.
We particularly enjoyed the physical elements of the game and felt that the use of space reflected a genuine desire to provide something different.
Logical, with plenty to do and a super set, this has all of those elements of quality escape rooms that we just love.
Really enjoyed the theming, and the immersion that was created.
The hint system was also unique and kept us in good spirits, I was mostly impressed at the venues location, and how they had created something like this where they are.
Will be back for the second room.
We cannot wait to see what comes next.
We had a fantastic time playing Mission: Abducted a tough challenge, with communication being key. Fantastic Hosting too from the team here.
We had a fantastic time, and have never left an ER laughing so much. The Character interaction was fab, and we really enjoyed some of the puzzles too linking very nicely with the theme of the room.
A very funny Christmas, we went for the 'Adult Version' which was hilarious, and we had such a good laugh, there are some good puzzles in there which we enjoyed, and a few surprise moments and a clever use of technology brining together what we thought was a solid Christmas room!
Had great fun during this room. We played as a two and had decent time left. I would imagine it’s tricky for an inexperienced small team so bare that in mind when you book. All the puzzles were well themed and had a nice balance between padlocks and Maglocks. Everything made perfect sense and we had a good laugh as we played.
They do not lie when they say you need 4 and above, it is a must. But such a good game with lots of great puzzles!
This game is definitely suited to a larger team! Would recommend three people at an absolute minimum!
This is a tough room - but has a very rewarding end.
There’s lots of unique ideas we saw in this game that we loved and really got us thinking, it’s nice to play something different, we like the idea of a new challenge each time. With out giving much away we really enjoyed the first room’s something we had never seen before and really got us working together.
Our host Nathan was fab, very enthusiastic and clearly knew the game well and balanced our clues to ensure we got out just in time.
Loved the host, they really made it for us. The game was a traditional room with lots of padlocks and good logical puzzles, to which I enjoyed.
I look forward to their new room, a high-tech spaceship by the sound of it.
Considering this is the company's first game, I was actually quite impressed, Understanding what goes into building these rooms, I never expect big things from a brand new start up company, so overly that has took a reflect in my review.
What really made this game for me, was the staff at this location, they were next to non, so friendly informative and clearly have all played their fair share of rooms.
Overall the flow of Ark Raider, can feel very linear, etc however for first comers, I think this a solid room for them to get their teeth into the Escape Room buzz. and work around a variety of different puzzles.
Having spoke to the staff in depth, I feel their new game which opens in the Summer, will be a great for for enthusiast and groups alike.
Thanks for a blast guys!
Family friendly and wonderful host. The puzzles and set is a bit mediocre however I’ve heard some very exciting things about future plans and I am eager to see what wonderful things come next.
I have to say, whilst this was quite a traditional escape room there was still a good balance of tech and puzzles.
The review below suggests the room is Very Easy, it is far from that. We did play this as a team of 2 however.
The game was split over two stages with some challenging puzzles in each.
What made this game for us was the great hosting, and the excellent family feel.
It’s by no way means the most amazing game we have played but exceedingly enjoyable and exciting things to come by the sound of things!
Had a great time playing Ark Raider, I was not quite sure what to expect if I am honest, being a brand new location I am always a bit nervous about going to play them etc. The set design is incredible, and the game certinally made me think and there was something for evreyone to do.
Would recommend for families etc, and those new to escape rooms!
