Years have past since Dr Alan Harris and his team of Paranormal Investigators discovered the truth behind the the infamously named Curse of Old Maid Milly. The eponymous spirit had seemed to have found peace, but now suddenly, years on, the bedroom where Old Maid Milly had previously lived with her many cats has become a hive of supernatural activity again. When an inquisitive group of ghost hunters disappeared after making their way into the once haunted bedroom it was a clear signal of the Return of Old Maid Milly.

dangerous

Showing its age now, took a chunk out of my finger on an exposed screw on a botched repair.

😨creepy

A relatively creepy room using all of the tropes you might expect of a haunting of this nature.  We had a couple of reset/prop fails in this room but it didn't impede our process too much.  Clue system was in keeping with the room and we only needed them for out search fails.  As someone else has noted, this is more of a scooby doo room than outright scares.

Scooby doo horror rather than out and out horror. A few jump scares but nothing too extreme. The second half puzzles were a bit more invovled than the first and had some clever uses of the space (no spoilers). Traditional room done very well!

A good game with little scares throughout to keep you on your toes. A good range of puzzles from logic, practical, teamwork and communication. There is a fair amount of back and forth so don't be scared to go back into the first room. A good venue with an array of games to play.

Old Maid Milly was the ghost in Escape From The Room’s very first game, originally built in the upstairs bedroom of a suburban house. That game resolved the ghost’s tragic past and laid her spirit to rest, but here she’s back and has you trapped again.

The setting did feel less authentic than that of the original Old Maid Milly game - because it is less authentic, being a commercial space decorated to look like a bedroom rather than an actual bedroom. In other respects it’s a lot like it...

A fun game that really demonstrates the step up that Escape from the Room has made over the last few years. With a thirty minute extension option, this is a particularly fun game for enthusiasts who want to take their time and savour the game.
This was our first post-lockdown physical escape room, and it was a good one. Escape from the Room have upped their game and we would have no problems recommending this room
