Me and my friends had a good time here, it was thought provoking and loved the different feel in each room. The game felt tense which spurred us on. Great atmosphere

Most of the time when GMs come out before the game in costume and start some rehearsed pre-game bit, I inwardly cringe and try and hide behind my teammates until it's over. But the GMs at Rawtenstall demostrate how this type of thing can work really well. We played all their games and all the GMs were excellent but the one we had for Safe House was particularly good.
The room itself was great, with some nice surprises. I got frustrated a couple of times with the puzzles but that was my own fault for missing things!
Some really good puzzles in this room. Lots of doors to choose from. We did have 2 places in the story where we would have loved to be there in person as we didn't quite get the technical translation of the puzzle and had to take a hint where it would have been obvious in real life.
The production quality of the story videos impressed us.
The tech is built on Telescape with the inventory at your feet in an evidence envelope.
I played the safehouse when it first opened and thats ages ago, so a number of improvements and tweaks have occurred since my first review. The online version of this game works very well, and the slight adaptations to the puzzles to allow for a single player actually improve the gameflow. Incorporating the live action sections of the game into the online version also transposes very well, in fact I actually prefer the online to the play IRL.

Yet another fun room by Lucardo. Weβd been holding off playing the online avatar version of this game as we wanted to play it in real life, and weβre glad we did. We enjoyed Corruption a bit more than Safe House, but this game is unlikely to disappoint.
Another well-themed and theatrical game from Lucardo. We were a little bit confused in the first half of the game, but things became clearer as the game progressed.
A unique game full of unexpected turns coupled with clever puzzle and good themeing means its another great game from the folks at Lucardo
