Easily playable as a single player or team of 2, despite the 3-8 player recommendation on the box.
Took only 47 mins and we found it quite easy.
Enjoyable puzzles.
the main issue with this is not so much the puzzles, but the player count(3-8 suggested) the game is linear, meaning everyone should look at the same puzzle all the time. played with 2-3 players I can see this is a fine little game.
I wanted to love it, but the puzzles were considerably worse than in Thinkfun's other escapes. Love the idea though.
Cool construction, beautiful artwork, and admirable attempt at a story. Unfortunately, many of the puzzles were very very poorly implemented, and the experience was quite inconsistent overall. Most of the writing also read like middle school fanfic.
Probably the best ER-in-a-box out there right now (Oct 2016). All paper & cardboard, but fun paper & cardboard. Neat story, varied puzzles, nice illustrations. A bit lightweight for enthusiasts.
Recommend 2-4p max. Can be reset if you're careful not to mangle anything. (Reset instructions are on the ThinkFun site.)
Similar in style & presentation to Stargazer's Manor. All paper & cardboard with some string. A bit less good than Stargazer's -- some bottlenecks in the middle and a puzzle genre that overstays its welcome, the story is a bit less engaging, the end a bit anticlimactic. Still a solid production.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one! Solid gameplay, nice tangible parts, good story, completely reusable, pretty much checks all the boxes for a tabletop ER game.
