Very good theme of the Upside Down! Definitely felt like we were part of Hawkins. Lots of padlocks but the story was good

Last room in our 5 in a day escape day. Fun room with again a great theming if the set and soundtrack. Couple of unusual puzzles here and interesting games mechanics! Very fun

Very smart room. Compared to the others at Locked in games this one has a really stand out set. Reminded me of the crystal maze at the start to gain entry and then lots of cool props and puzzles. We would have topped the leader board if we had not overlooked one little thing and needed help haha.

Played: 3 January 2020 Team size: 2 Time taken: 48.23 Outcome: Successful escape!

Excellent fun! This room starts in such a realistic setting! There is stuff to do, leading to a big surprise and then things get wild! We thought we were so ahead of time but no there was still sooooo much to do!! Really enjoyed this one

Played: 3 January 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 53.09 Outcome: Successful escape!

Great room, it is one of those where once you get in and get going you can tackle stuff in any order which can be quite overwhelming. All the puzzles fit the story well and quite a challenge for a room that has quite a young theme. Lots of fun

Here we did 5 escape rooms in a day! I’ve wanted to do an escape day for ages, with my bezzie escape room pal! The venue is a fantastic building, so big! So much space for them to continue to expand. Very well organised for us and they gave us a little snack / treat basket to keep us going.

I’ll rate each room individually

This one actually was my least fave, tho maybe we were just mentally  tired out haha. It wasn’t a bad room, just not quite my fave!

Return trip to Bury with the friends that recommended it to try their new room (although another one is already being built too .. exciting!)

Very cool room, everything inside was very authentic. Lots of clever puzzles with a lot of effort that has gone into the room. Good variety of things to see and do and a good story too. Loved it

For a Halloween treat decided to gather a team together to take on Yorkshire’s largest escape room! With extra scares from live actors! Was sooo impressed, so much to do. It all felt quite different too. The games master played a character as well as scaring us silly! The room is absolutely huge and just keep going and going. So much to do. Very much top of the list to do if you can handle the scares

Played: October 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 82.15 Outcome: Successful escape!

Took a little drive out to this room, having read some amazing reviews and because the rooms are 75 or 90 mins! We went with Vikings as it is recommended to do this one first. The setting is fantastic, you really do feel like you are on a ship! Really tough puzzles and help has to be earned too!  Really looking forward to coming back here again soon

Played: October 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 55.00 Outcome: Successful escape!

Different to a standard escape room, this was a collection of puzzles and searches to gather up ingredients to make a cocktail. At the same venue as Sherlock: The Game is Now, so you get all the same experience .. secret entrance, many characters to interact with and a real sense of story! We became spies and took on Moriaty! Amazing time!!

Played: October 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 55.22 Outcome: Successful escape!

Cool escape here! The venue was very busy but we were still well looked after. I much preferred the first half of this escape than the second half to be honest, it was a good challenge ... felt a bit like we might remain behind bars!

Played: September 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 46.08 Outcome: Successful escape!

We came here with a point to prove cos our friends tried this room as a pair and were locked up for murder! We did escape but the room is a toughie. I like that the games master helps without giving anything away so the escape feels well earned! There is one particular type of puzzle here that still gives me nightmares from time to time(!!!) .. I dread them! But got through it. Great host, hope they open a new room soon!

Played: August 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 53.00 Outcome: Successful escape!

Another brilliant game at Project Breakout. Bit of a climb to the top of the mill to get to this one! Enjoyed the theme and the many many creepy dolls inside! Can’t wait to try their other rooms

Played: August 2019 Team size: 5 Time taken: 60.20 Outcome: Failed 🙁

Took 4 escape room newbies here, two were kids so extra challenge here for me to keep everyone focussed! They were quite nervous about jump scares of being claustrophobic. The room was pretty cool, all felt very topsy turvy in keeping with the theme. There were some unusual puzzles here that I haven’t seen elsewhere. We struggled at the end to finish the last puzzle but the games master told us we only had one little bit wrong and gave us an extra minute to figure it out and escape 🙂

Played: August 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 35.03 Outcome: Successful escape!

Another massive favourite of mine! Project Breakout in Brighouse is great. This room had a really inventive opening and story and the room theme was brilliant! Great puzzles and lots of fun. Some great jump scares too which brought it all to life

Played: August 2019 Team size: 5 Time taken: 44.17 Outcome: Successful escape!

My favourite room of all time! The theme of the room is so clever and really suits the idea of escaping. Excellent props and the puzzles are absolutely fantastic! So much to do in this room so really needed the large group here. I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners but once you have a few under your belt then this is one of the very best!!

Played: July 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 48.20 Outcome: Successful escape!

We got the buzz after playing Alcatraz so decided to use a voucher immediately and jump into another game! The beginning of the game again has an extra challenge so only one person can work at a time haha! Super creepy with some jump scares too. The theme was great!

Played: July 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 42.20 Outcome: Successful escape!

Very cool escape! Bags over the head and locked up to start! Gives it extra atmosphere and an extra challenge! Quite a few red herrings here which makes it seem like there is a lot to do for two people. Some tricky puzzles too

Played: July 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 37.30 Outcome: Successful escape!

Well this room was a surprise! Hidden away above a Chinese restaurant! We had three groups doing different rooms all across Manchester for a birthday celebration! Crazy times! This room felt quite basic .. but had a few unusual quirks so everyone got to play a part. Clever use of lighting to keep the pressure on. Would try their other rooms too

Played: June 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 56.40 Outcome: Successful escape!

Loved this room! Very much liked the theme and the way the room starts is cool too .. definitely gives you vibes of the movie! The progression is great too and felt the pressure as the room opened out! Creepy and a few little jump scares. Great!

Played: April 2019 Team size: 2 Time taken: 59.15 Outcome: Successful escape!

We met up with some friends to take on this room. They had tried (and failed!) the other room here. So we were prepared for a tough room and it was! Chained up at the start which made the first part really challenging and fun! Excellent theme and lots of good surprises! I like when you have to revisit parts of a room with new info or tools! Clever. We were close to the wire here so heart was pounding

Played: February 2019 Team size: 3 Time taken: 57.18 Outcome: Successful escape!

Another London visit and squeezed in an escape room. This was quite high tech I thought but not all of it worked that well. Nice theme and we really felt the tension here, with the countdown and the cut scenes. I’d like to try the other rooms too some time

Played: Feb 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 54.50 Outcome: Successful escape!

These guys in Halifax are one of the very best! They really do look after you well and get to know you. The theme of this room is so brilliant and the difficulty is tough! So much to do but it really flows well. Excellent all round 🙂

Played: January 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 44.25 Outcome: Successful escape!

Third room in a row .. we were on a roll! It was my least fave of the three rooms here though. The magic didn’t quite feel real sadly! It was fun that you get a prop to use throughout but there were a few leaps of logic

Played: January 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 47.35 Outcome: Successful escape!

This has been one of my favourite ever rooms! The first time I did a horror experience, bags over the head and handcuffs to start! Some unusual gaming mechanics here that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Very creepy and very dark and surprises too! Great room

Played: January 2019 Team size: 4 Time taken: 39.15 Outcome: Successful escape!

Down in London with work so decided to book an escape room. Finding the venue was the first challenge! Haha. This room felt quite different, the set was excellent and the team was split to begin with. Clue system is bizarre, hints embedded in the soundtrack?? Or played over the top of it in a booming Da Vinci voice. We got out so quickly that we immediately decided to do another of their rooms!! Haha

Played: 2018 Team size: 2 Time taken: 41.35 Outcome: Successful escape!

Met up with a good friend to do this room, our first one together. Either we make a great team or the room was quite easy as we got a decent time! Room is quite basic with a few surprises. Enough to get my friend hooked. Extra bonus points to this venue as I left my car keys by accident and they drove across town to bring them to me!! Yay

Played: 2018 Team size: 4 Time taken: 48.17 Outcome: Successful escape!

Another visit to Escape Hunt! Yet again the theme is really immersive!  I did prefer the other two rooms I’ve done here, a few things felt a bit worn out or broken even though the room was new, but it is still worth a visit!

Played: 2018 Team size: 4 Time taken: 53.15 Outcome: Successful escape!

Another excellent Escape Hunt room! These guys go all out! The start of this game was really unusual! Felt a bit claustrophobic but it did add to the experience. Loved the help system and the way the games master keeps things immersive!

Played: 2018 Team size: 4 Time taken: 42.00 Outcome: Successful escape!

Out of the escape reality rooms we have done this was my least favourite ... I think the set just felt a bit cheaper than the others. Still not loving the iPad clue system, but with 4 people we needed less help. I think we stumbled through the final puzzle without solving it too .. oops!

Played: 2018 Team size: 4 Time taken: 59.40 Outcome: Successful escape!

Took my parents along to this one, they were worried before that we would be playing against each other haha! It is a brilliant room, the theme and props and atmosphere are perfect. The challenge is tough and some great surprises here!

Played: 2018 Team size: 2 Time taken: 55.02 Outcome: Successful escape!

I enjoyed this game, the theming was good and a few good surprises on the way. We still didn’t love the hint system and when you call for help the games master comes into the room ... which isn’t brilliant

Played: 2018 Team size: 2 Time taken: 60 Outcome: Failed 🙁

This was a tough game to do as a two. The clue system is the let down here, nobody watching you all the time to see how you are doing. There is a lot to do for two people. Should really revisit to complete it!

Played: 2018 Team size: 3 Time taken: 47.11 Outcome: Successful escape!

My very first game! Started me off and got me hooked!!
