This is not the escapism usual level of rooms.
So many of the puzzles were ambiguous. Where do you stand for this? What order does it go? What angle do you look from for this?
The host was really defensive when I raised it at the end of the game. Such a shame because escapism usually produce such high quality games. You can tell theyβve grown because theyβve lost their roots
Another excellent game from escapism in Chester. Every other game we've played has had excellent hosting whereas this time it was very lackluster. We were put into the room with "It's just round the corner, go in there" while she stayed sat at the desk, (although she was the only staff member on site) Not ideal. However the room was lovely, really well themed with a lot of fun bits. It's definitely one to bring the kids along to as there's so much to do. Great fun and well thought out. Nothing too difficult but a lot packed in. Great use of the old amphitheatre room.
Good range of puzzles, nothing too difficult (no clues needed at all) but definitely plenty to do. Great for kids and great theming
Some good theming as usual from escapism, but definitely aimed at the families. Pretty much an open game with lots for the kids to get on with, but the adults in our group with a few games under our belt were a little bored. Maybe a little too much signposting, which took the fun out of a lot of the game.
Fun and a well themed room, but a broken puzzle right at the end right of the room and poor hosting from Josh, soured our experience.
