The unique thing about this game was that one player was the inspector, and the rest of us were the crime lab people, and we didn't see the same things as the inspector.  So that is cool, because it forces us to communicate.  However, the puzzles didn't really foster the right kind of teamwork - they were almost all what we call "barrier games", where one person describes something to someone else who can't see it.  This fosters a lot of talking back and forth, but the puzzles were so easy, we didn't really need to work together to solve them.  It was basically a competition among the lab people to shout out the correct answer first to the inspector.  There were two good puzzles that needing thinking to solve, but the rest of the game didn't provide enough of a challenge.  Also, a couple of the puzzles didn't work right until you reset them.  That wasn't really a problem though.  Respect for trying to force more interaction among players, but the concept could be improved some.

This was overall a good game.  My complaint would be that (the 2 players see different information) as detective it seemed that I had more information than the lab did, and there was a lot of material to read.  I spent the game reading out loud, and that got tiring.  My partner's role didn't seem to have much to do.  The puzzles were good, though.

This is a really different approach to a detective type of game that we haven't seen before. The storyline was very interesting as you are presented with 9 suspects and each had a story to tell. You were only able to eliminate them as you solved puzzles and revealed new evidence. The communication between the detective and the agents felt like how it would be in real life. I was playing the role of the detective in this game. I really did enjoyed having the power of inputting all the answers but I also felt a bit left out when my teammates were solving puzzles. Just be ready to choose the role you think you'll be best suited for this game. Regardless, if you are a big fan of murder mystery or CSI/Criminal Minds type of show, the Cyber Crime Unit will keep you entertained!
