I felt that we had to spend far to much time solving puzzles within our inventory in the Telescape software, and I felt like we were missing out on the immersiveness of the room.  Perhaps with more players we could have divided up the work more and been able to enjoy it better.

This is a fun room with some clever puzzles that flow nicely with each other.  As ever, this would be a room I'd like to play for real!  Our avatar was John, AV was good, there was an inventory but this also allowed us to do a degree of puzzle solving at the same time, video was with zoom which was stable.  Minor critique was the camera struggled in some of the low light but this issue was relayed to the avatar but we had 360 views in the inventory which resolved this issue to a degree.  I had a fun time with this room.

There’s magic in the air at one of Orange County’s most unique venues! Just try not to get mauled by the bear.

The Return of the Magician incorporated magic and just a bit of mystery to bring to life a thoroughly enjoyable game with wonderfully satisfying puzzles, suitable for the whole family, or just a group of friends that want to get together for a digital adventure.
There were definitely some "wow" moments in this game. We felt like we're watching a magic show rather than playing a game. Sometimes we had to stop what we were doing and wonder: "wait a minute, how did that just happen?" The transitions were really smooth, you won't be able to detect a thing. I guess in magic terms I would say this room was a master at "sleight of hand". We were lucky to get a tour after the game to see how the magic was implemented but a magician will never reveal their secrets. We highly suggest playing this game to try to figure out the magic on your own.

Overall, we had fun! As I say, a lovely way to spend a Boxing Day evening with friends and good company. Our host was enigmatic, the room seamless, and puzzles creative. It’s a good game for beginners and veterans alike, and I’d be happy to recommend this to anybody looking for something a bit different to do during lockdown!
