My wife and I played this game virtually and really enjoyed the gameplay and puzzles.  Creative and logical, the gameplay was great and the gamemaster (Joel) was supportive, engaged, and fun!  Strongly recommend playing this game!

We didn't expect much from this game because the price was so low for a live-hosted game, but we decided to chance it.  Turns out, it's worth more than what they charge!  We really enjoyed the game, the host, and the puzzles.  Would recommend.

We really enjoyed this game.  It is a pretty basic room with quite a lot of traditional locks.  But the avatar is super pleasant, and kept the action moving along.  The puzzles are pretty traditional, but there was enough variety that they played to the strengths of all the members of our team.  Definitely on the easier end of things.  But after an ignominious defeat last weekend, we needed a fun, feel-good experience, and this definitely fit that bill.

Very enjoyable room with some excellent puzzles and top notch presentation by the great William Puttz. For the price they charge, it is a must-play for escape room enthusiasts in my opinion.

While we have done a few escape rooms before this was the first room we did remotely with the help of an avatar. We were positively surprised as to how well it worked and really enjoyed the experience. It took us a moment to get used to giving instructions and navigating someone through the room but Joel did a great job as an avatar, he didn’t reveal too much but subtly lead us in the right direction when we had overlooked something and were stuck . The puzzles worked well, the room  -though small- was well made, Joel was a super friendly host and it was excellent value for money. All of us (a team of 5 age 12-55, 2 zoom connections)  had a great time and can definitely recommend β€œThe Mystic Ruins”.

Our first online avatar room and played as two couples in two separate locations on Zoom.

All worked well technically with a good starting overview around the room by the online avatar. Puzzles were padlock solving style but well presented and in an atmospheric room in the Conservatory of the game owner (other games are available in other rooms of the Game Owner's house). a nice mix of challenge - over thinking very much a possibility! - but all very solvable and well thought through.

Perhaps at time the avatar prompted us towards the right solution by inadvertent movements, and perhaps at other times was too reluctant to assist, but overall it was a good mix. And allowed us to observe what was intended to be seen as thought we were in a real room.

So, as a first experience of an online avatar led room, the four in the team thoroughly enjoyed it, kept involved, and worked together to resolve the room. And we have immediately booked again for another room closer to Christmas.

Well done, Joel!

A reasonably legit temple room, not amazing scenically but with decent puzzling. Built to be unbolted and transported, so expect a somewhat smaller set (but that works remotely).

Just played this with friends and it was amazing!!!! I am quite new to escape rooms, but this blew my mind. The staging was really high quality and the game was super fun with quite difficult clues for a beginner. Would highly recommend.

A very nice build consider that it's a pop-up and portable room, with a few interesting mechanisms, and a super-friendly avatar.

Excellent game for players dipping their toe into the world of avatar games, as the room is well lit, the camera work is excellent and the puzzles are clear and well signposted. With the addition of a fun in-character introduction and an atmospheric ending its the perfect game for those wanting to try out Avatar rooms.
If you're an avatar pro then play it anyway, its immense fun!
