Most have heard of David Copperfield and some know of Doug Henning but very few people know the closely guarded secret of Gizmo the Great, the Master Magician of the 1970s.
Every great magician has a special creative spark, which they use to develop the most awe inspiring illusions. For those who lack creativity, these secrets can be acquired at a hefty price through the black magic market.
You are part of an aspiring team of magicians that sadly lack any imagination, and posses even less money. Fortunately, you discovered the secret of Gizmo the Great and came by some elusive intel detailing his home address. You’ve also managed to confirm that his infamous ‘Book of Tricks’ is secured somewhere within.
The Magic Circle is hosting an exclusive event that Gizmo is attending. You have a maximum of one hour to infiltrate his home and steal his Book of Tricks, allowing you to become the greatest magic troupe of all time.

lots to do
This game would be great for a big group, it has lots of puzzles which can be worked on separately. We succeeded as a two, and it was super fun to be intensely busy the whole time and you can clearly see how many puzzles you have left, which for me adds to the drama! Some comments say it's a bit dated in places now, I get that, but I think the puzzles are unique and interesting, with a few surprises. Only one didn't work quite as planned, but it didn't affect our game play.

Love love love Eeek! but feel like this room has probably had its day. Lots of personal enjoyment from it and I felt it flowed well and had some cute and unique puzzles, but with not everything working at 100% and other bits looking worn I wasn’t surprised that not all of my team seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. I hope the team use the good footprint it covers to reinvigorate the space with something new and fresh. While Magician’s Heist is still there, I would recommend it, but go with a smaller team for the best experience; 2-4 is plenty. There is much to enjoy but don’t expect to be really wowed.
This game has a really nice flow. There is a lot to do in the hour, but all puzzles felt logical and doable! This room has some great magical touches too.

A really fun room! There was a little bit of jank from time to time, but any confusion or breakages were handled really quickly by our super nice games master (thanks Amy!)
A lot of really original puzzles, and I enjoyed that it was a lot of practical, real world magic tricks as opposed to escape rooms trying to do “real magic”. Very bright and colourful, banging soundtrack, so even in times of confusion I was having FUN.
One specific puzzle made me ask the games master how it was done (in the practical sense) after, which to me was the mark of an inventive room that doesn’t cut corners with it’s immersion.
As usual with Eeek, this game was stacks of fun with oodles of quirky puzzles that were an absolute joy to solve.
There are classic 'magic' tropes in here but with a twist and a delightful storyline; it's also a bit of a nostalgia trip at times, which adds to the enjoyment. We had smiles on our faces the entire time.
It's a game where larger teams would be a benefit but we still managed a respectable 36 mins as a two - to be honest, you'll want to solve all the puzzles in here yourself, so take a smaller team and just enjoy it!
Loved this room, its got all those little in-jokes and details that just enhance the experience and make it such a fun room to play. Keeping with the theme the puzzles are magical and theres a few moments where you'll want it to happen again as its so much fun. Theres a couple of puzzles/moments I'd love to tell you about but, you know... spoilers!
But what makes this room special is that they've got all the items you'd expect for a magicians room, but they haven't used the usual tropes, theres some rather inventive problems to solve. The GM was very attentive and answered our questions in the room immediately, but let us solve things and didn't jump in with hints, which was most welcome as many GMs jump in too early.
Theres lots of room to move about and the gameplay is very open so this room really suits larger teams, the puzzles are quite varied too which also plays well with larger teams as everyone can find something they can do. Enthusiast teams of 2 will love it as they've got so much to do, but it can easily cope with an enthusiast team of 4. Excellent game, well worth leaving the centre of Glasgow to visit.
Absolutely LOVED this Escape Room - really well thought out and some great puzzles that took me back to my 1970's roots. The highlight was my 14 year old daughter having to ask for help on how to use an old dialled telephone....finally....something she doesn't know everything about 😉
*** Top marks to the Games Master who was lovely ***
