intense

Looking at previous reviews, we weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. We were told it was a challenging game, which it is in many ways but we enjoyed our time in here and liked the complex nature of some of the puzzles. The concept is a good one, with an added element that helps you understand how far you are through the game.

Our hosts were incredibly nice and a pleasure to chat to afterwards.

We dont like to bad mouth rooms however this room was terrible. None of the puzzles made sense and one of the final puzzles had absolutely no logic involved.

We ended up sat down for 20 minutes. We did it a while ago and hopefully they will of changed a few things.

If not its definitely a room to avoid

The set design is boring and plain, the props are all outdated

quite difficult

This was probably my favourite out of the games we played at Escape Ipswich, though still some flaws.

Set design was nice, i donโ€™t think the concept of the gameplay was explained all that well before we entered which hindered us slightly. My partner was obsessed with one puzzle for 90% of the game as he couldnt solve it (heโ€™s big into casino games and i didnt really follow the normal rules/terminology of the game in real life which made it way more confusing than it needed to be). I solved everything else in the game whilst he was focussed on that, so itโ€™s certainly not a game that requires a large group of people.

The game started with a hint on the screen saying you may need to use some codes again so to leave them on the locks (never seen this before, would maybe have been better if you had something to write down on).

I enjoyed some of the puzzles, and the feel of the room. Being punished on your total money at the end for the amount of clues you have is slightly annoying but didnt bother me all that much, but i know that it would for a lot of other people.

Casino is in many ways a fairly traditional escape game, but with the twist that you may have the option of escaping without solving everything in the room. Players may therefore find that they've opened the final door, but choose to delay their exit to try to unlock more cash.

By 'fairly traditional', I mean two things: firstly, most puzzles consist of finding a number (or, occasionally, a physical key) to open a padlock; and secondly, the room looks more like a casino-themed room of puzzles t...

A game packed full of uninspiring puzzles, a couple of which required some leaps of logic that overstepped the mark for me. You'll get close to a full hour's entertainment but I left feeling the game could have been so much more.
Two of the goats gamble on this room being enjoyable. Will they come out in the red or the black?
Escape Casino is a pretty hard game. Partly through puzzles that are just tough, partly through puzzles that are unfairly obscure, and partly just its nature as a non-linear game.
The third and final Escape Room we visited in Edinburgh was Escape Edinburgh. They claim to have been Scotlandโ€™s first Live Escape Game company. We were very curious what kind of game to expect from a company with that much experience. What we found was surprising, so letโ€™s start the Review. Escape Edinburgh Edinburgh, Scotland Location: [โ€ฆ]
A twist on the normal โ€œyou need to get outโ€ model, this game has an extra way to separate the best teams. Challenging game with a great many padlocks. Extremely friendly and attentive staff.
