Thematically great room with a few nice moments and great hosting. I think there was so much more potential to lean into the magical theming. Puzzles on the simpler side but a few creative ones in there.
This room is beautifully themed and the start is super fun and intriguing. Theres a fun interactive puzzles I just love in here. We did find there weren't lots of puzzles though and we completed it fairly quickly.
Great set design, and some clever touches, it was a bit dark, so you may need a touch
Great fun for a team! We had a blast and enjoyed the theatrical side.
The attention to detail in this room is spot on! Every puzzle felt on theme and was genuinely fun to do, even as a couple of 40 odd year olds. Great use of space and very theatrical as usual! Another fab room from the team here!
A really beautiful game with an inventive beginning that creates that sense of immersion and magic. The puzzles are lovely and theming is sustained throughout. There were some really magical moments and one particularly gorgeous prop that was just a delight.
Our only quibble, however, was simply that there wasn't enough of it. We sailed through it and found ourselves disappointed to be at the end I such a short time.
Saying that, it's a lovely room that was a pleasure to do.
Another great game from Rawtenstall and great hosting from the team. The room was once again superb and completely on theme. The puzzles were fun and original and really made the hour fly by.
If you're looking to play - I'd certainly book this room closely followed by Treason. - Don't be be put off by sour reviews. This game was amazing!
Thanks to Simon and the team for having us.
Beautiful room! The theming was fantastic! Great hosting as usual with Rawtenstall, and you can see the time and effort that is put into all their games! The puzzles were all on theme and weren't too hard for us! Can't wait to finish the rest of the games!
We really liked this game.
From the very beginning you are thrown into the story and this is apparent throughout.
The setting was beautiful, really immersive with a good mixture of puzzles.
Thoroughly enjoyable for any type of team.

Again a fab room in Lucardo Rawtenstall, the host starts you off by really immersing you in the story. A few clever puzzles here that really keep with the theme, and the quality of the room was brilliant - especially the second part (no spoilers!) which was some of the best set decoration I’ve seen in the 40 escape rooms we’ve done. Definitely worth the visit here!
Superb room - beautifully themed and the host at Lucardo Rawtenstall is brilliant. Second room was slightly easier than we're used to from Lucardo, but perhaps we're just great at escape rooms aha.
Really enjoyed this game. From start to finish the atmosphere was magical. There were really clever puzzles with cool magical interactive elements which I had never seen before in an escape room. Loved every minute
Really pretty room! So much to look at and all the puzzles just makes sense, just wish we hadn't flown through it so quickly!
We loved every second of this escape room! So many unexpected turns and unseen riddles/puzzles, we loved it. There is one part of the escape room that absolutely blew our minds and really put us into the atmosphere of the room, (but no spoilers, try it yourself). Our host was amazing and followed our rule of "no clues unless we are ALL asking for one", he even named it the Cluelios spell to stay in theme. 🙂 This is an incredible magic room which doesn't have that many puzzles but get you thinking throughout 60 minutes and sometimes you might even just find yourself admiring the room as the decoration and props are just unreal! We loved the Magician room in Stockport Moviescape and thought it would be hard to get another Magic room as good in Great Manchester-ish but Lucardo succeeded in that challenge!
Great room: awesome set, well-themed puzzles, and it all ties together really nicely.

Magic School has proved wildly popular as an escape room theme, and Lucardo have one such game in each of their two branches. Instead of taking the easy route of duplicating a single game, these are two completely distinct games. (I guess it would make narrative sense to play the Manchester branch’s Entrance Exam first, but Dragon’s Heart is entirely standalone and we had no problem starting with it.)
While this entire genre of escape room owes an obvious debt to the Harry Potter franchise, thi...
