A nice room with good flow to puzzles and some great props. Enjoyable
Meh - Game is fine. Very dated and old and spent most of the game in the dark, plus there were various technical issues. Terrible.
Again like Salem (at the same venue) the space is very big with lots of wasted space. The room is also very dark with no additional light source and very frustrating to see in places.
The room is very worn and tired with cupboard hanging of their hinges and the ending of the room completely failed which I assume was broken as even the GM couldnβt get it to work which was disappointing.
A visually pleasing room with a few unique touches here and there.
We enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the theming of the room.
This is an easy game so expect to be out quickly if you are an experienced player.
Nice idea for a theme, but way too dark for the majority of the game so it became more of an inconvenience than being atmospheric. Torches were provided, but trying to open a lock and hold a torch isnβt possible, so you have to team up to do things, which sucks. One puzzle in there was clearly designed to just waste time and was very frustrating. Wouldnβt recommend this one, play Salem instead, itβs much better.
I couldn't really muster much more than this room was "okay" Overall the room looks like its seen better days, and some bits look very dated inside and has a few time wasting puzzles.
Disclaimer: We played this game for free during staff testing but this didn't affect the review.
Wonderful Theming.
We visited Trapp'd during their staff training and found this room was wonderfully themed, you really got the feeling that you were in a mad scientists lab. The room was dimly lit but this did add to the ambience throughout. As per our previous game this was perfectly linear, with a clear starting point and each puzzle cleverly leading onto the next one.
They had a tricky puzzle involving morse code which was easy to hear, but very tricky to translate due to the lighting and red plastic that you needed to use to uncover the 'secret' key. I would suggest they may like to change this to something so it is easier to read as we lost a bit of time on this puzzle.
Other puzzles flowed well and there were a number of logic, physical and some word puzzles which we found tricky, as our word expert wasn't with us this time. Leading on nicely to the final puzzle and conclusion filled with light and smoke effects. When we opened the final lock we received a bit of an anti-climax as the host was on the other side of the door and we expected another room but was very funny either way.
Well done to our host Simon who was very nervous, made worse by the management testing him by undoing a padlock and us 'falling for it'. Simon relax you were a great GM offering cryptic clues when required.

A decent room that is definitely good for beginners and has enough fun to keep you going. Decent puzzles and theming made for an enjoyable experience
