Played this twice, what a clever original concept. Escape room meets heist! Highly recommended!
We thought this game was much more logical & hence it fitted better with the way our brains worked than Back to the Future did.
We really enjoyed it and found ourselves very absorbed in our escape. We liked that there weren't too many padlocks, no frustrating red herrings, a nostalgic soundtrack and a good combination of different puzzles, some of which were very original.
There was one specific puzzle I didn't enjoy, but I this was due to a personal preference, rather than an issue with the puzzle itself.
Ellie was a very enthusiastic host, thank you.
We'd happily recommend this room.
So brilliant!!! Totally unexpected !
Firstly, we both loved the theming of this room in terms of the set, props & music. Being able to choose which mixtape to listen to was an original idea & my friend loved the chance to play on a space hopper again. So we had a lot of fun.
The escape room aspect itself didn't quite live up to what we were hoping for. There were too many red herrings, so it was a frustrating challenge to work out what we actually needed to use. There were no links between some of the codes we came up with and which locks they were for, which meant trying some of them on multiple padlocks which felt like an irritating waste of time. It was a padlock-heavy room. And on a few occasions there didn't seem to be a clear correlation between items & what we had to do with them/how we had to use them.
We needed a few hints in the last 10 minutes to help us finish in time, but I feel that was more due to the illogical nature of the room causing us to spend a lot of time trying to find what we needed amongst the red herrings, rather than the puzzles themselves.
Our host Ellie was very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. After speaking to her after escaping we've decided to revisit Agent Brains to see if a different room might be a better fit for us. But this room was good fun, nostalgic (for the one of us that was born before the 80s!) and would be ideal for children (with guidance), families or even just friends wanting to go back in time.
A wonderful 80s themed escaped room with a fantastic set and a range of great puzzles.
A lovely lab themed escape room with fantastic set design and puzzles.
A very immersive and exciting escape room with an element we had not seen elsewhere. Incredible idea. Stacks of fun puzzles.
A massively fun escape room with lots of themed puzzles and an exciting set.
Really fun start to this game which lets you work well as a team. Very fun theming and exciting puzzles. Wonderful hosts.
A very fun escape room with lovely theming. Welcoming hosts and a great range of rooms here!
What a fabulous game with so much to keep us busy but still work together. Haven’t done many rooms where you’re collecting the guns rather than trying to escape. This is based around collecting valuables from vaults. Lots of fun. We did have a small issue with one of the locks and I think we’d have done even more if hadn’t spent time on something (involved a dart board and a dart wasn’t in the correct place so we couldn’t get the right code) . Glad we did this room as a larger group (sometimes we play as a three and others with another 3) a really good mixture of puzzles and lots to keep you busy.
A good split start element. Unforunately we did manage to skip a couple of puzzles as something was "guessable" but also given to us which messed up the game a little bit. Feedback was given at the time of play. Otherwise a good themed room, with a fun element towards the end.
A solid game with plenty to do, some signposting required in places. A fun theme, very nostalgic if you're a BTF fan.
Love all the Agent Brains games and this is the latest one. Some new and interesting puzzles and, as always, a great theme and hosting!
Love all Agent Brains games! Loved the themeing of this one and the various different puzzles
Love all Agent Brains games! This one had a fun and different start and a great puzzle at the end. Really enjoyed the room
I love all Agent Brains games. This one is slightly smaller footage than the others but the puzzles are fun and varied
Absolutely loved the theme of this room! Fun puzzles. Love all Agent Brains games!
This was a fun game and exciting to be trying to get the most money possible rather than trying to beat the clock. The set was great and puzzles excellent! We misunderstood some safety advice (to stop us bashing our heads) so I think we could have solved more puzzles had we not been so diligently keeping cupboards closed but it was still very fun and the hosting is great! I love all the games this company creates!
So much to do, but really well put together. Had a great time!
Another superb game from Agent Brains. One puzzle in particular I thought was very clever and made great use of the space. Fun theme which I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Mobbery is still my favourite there but I think this is a close 2nd!
Having done Mobbery before it was great to come back to another high quality room from Agent Brains. The set in the room was really amazing, especially the final puzzles! Definitely recommend this room and Mobbery.
Another solid room more tech involved in this one than in previous rooms. Well worth a visit to Agent Brains they are doing things right and now have 6 games at their venues although Mobbery is still my favourite of theirs
Another excellent game from Agent Brains. The music set the scene perfectly and we had a fun hour saving the world from Dr Nogood’s evil new year plans.
We always enjoy agent brains and the hosting is great.
The puzzles in this room are great especially before the heist - once in the heist it’s a do as many as you can to make as much money as possible.
We enjoyed it but the last part leaves you wanting more.
We love the games at agent brains and the hosting is great.
You start separately in this game and that’s different although we don’t love it as we like working together and ultimately challenged a bit as we are good at different things.
The room was a little too linear which meant we were often watching each other rather than kept busy and this would be worse for a larger group.
There was a slight error as I think a hosts phone was left in the room.
Overall not my favourite agent brains room but have done all the rooms and would go back.
We always enjoy the rooms at agent brains - this is one of our less favourite ones but all the same the hosting is outstanding.
Plenty to do as a couple but that said there is one element that is highly repetitive and the final element is tricky as if you miscount you have to start again which isn’t ideal and can be a bottle neck.
I have done all the rooms at agent brains and would recommend the team here.
This is the latest game at agent brains and we really enjoyed it. I think it is their best yet combining what is great about the other rooms.
For anyone that enjoyed the 90s this has the added nostalgia element - I really felt like I was at a party from my younger days with excellent 90s music sounding like it was at a party downstairs.
The puzzles are all logical - although one room seemed like a very complicated large scale way to do a fairly straightforward puzzle.
This would suit large groups as particularly the last room has lots of puzzles to crack. We did it as a pair and as always the hosting was spot on.
I think this is their best yet and I hope maybe they will have some new rooms in the future as we have kept coming back to do everything here.
Nice theming, one aspect to the room which I'd never seen before. One particularly repetitive puzzle.
Nice theming. Lack of signposting at times.
High energy, fast paced, non - stop game.
Booked as soon as we saw Agent Brains opened a new room having played the other 5 rooms over the last few years and glad we did, what a great room! Usual warm welcome and a bit of story (Dr NoGood is the recurring villain) then straight into handcrafted puzzles with a great mix of tech and puzzle solving. Enough to keep us busy in parallel but all logical and satisfying to complete. Highly recommend!
Such a good game.... enough difference types of puzzles to keep everyone involved.
Good game, we had loads of fun
Some good puzzles.
A good solid game
Loved this.... great nostalgia all over.
A room of two halves.
The first half was nicely themed and had some good puzzles.
Later parts had a huge amount of padlocks and sort of fit the theme but it was a stretch.
Feels like it needed another pass to bring it all together coherently.
We looovveedd this room - couldn't fault a thing, the theming was great, and there was so much to do!! Duel agenda room - you need to escape but also get as much loot as possible - this meant there were some puzzles we didn't managed to crack in the time but the gamesmaster was great and showed us the solutions at the end. Highly recommend this room.
Having done the amazing mobbery room we returned to do this room, which was probably not the right order to do things as we found this much easier - the beginning entrance to the room was very good but we moved through the room quite quick and were expecting perhaps a more climactic ending. Would say a good room for people who are fairly new to escape rooms, but perhaps less so for larger, more experienced groups. But definitely do mobbery!
The theming of this game is truly excellent, immersing you fully in the 1980s and creating a nostalgic atmosphere that's hard to beat. I particularly loved the option to select your own soundtrack, which adds a personal touch and really enhances the experience, making you feel as though you've stepped back in time. The game also features some intriguing and original puzzles that offer a refreshing challenge, which sets it apart from others. Overall, it’s definitely one worth checking out for anyone who enjoys creative gameplay and a well-executed theme.
This is an enjoyable game where communication plays a key role, making it a fun experience for those who appreciate teamwork and interaction. While I wouldn't personally rank it as my favourite game on offer here, I think it still has its merits. One area for improvement, though, would be the crates – it can be quite tricky to determine which crate is for which puzzle, and some clearer signposting would certainly enhance the experience. Of course, this is just based on our own experience; other players may not have had any issues with the crates and could have found them easier to navigate.
I firmly believe that a game really shines when you find yourself needing very few clues to progress, and this game definitely excelled in that regard. The one clue we did need was purely down to us being a bit careless and missing something obvious. Aside from that, everything flowed beautifully. The game had a lovely, well-thought-out theme that enhanced the experience, and it was both logical and cleverly non-linear in its design, which kept things interesting and engaging. It provided a fantastic challenge without ever feeling frustrating. All in all, it was an excellent and highly enjoyable game that I would happily recommend.
I enjoyed this game – it provided a lot of fun and excitement throughout. The experience was engaging, and I appreciated the challenge it offered. However, one slight downside was that, at times, the gameplay did feel a little repetitive, which slightly took away from the overall flow. Despite this, it's still a fantastic game to play, offering plenty of entertainment. Additionally, the set design is truly impressive, with beautiful attention to detail that adds a great deal to the overall experience.
If you're limited for time and only have the chance to play a handful of games, I would recommend prioritising others, as missing this one wouldn't leave you feeling as though you've missed out on too much.
However, if you're local to the area or have some extra time to spare, I would still suggest giving this game a go, as it does feature some genuinely enjoyable gameplay.
This was an incredibly enjoyable heist game! From start to finish, it was packed with excitement, and the clever signposting made sure we were constantly engaged, solving puzzles throughout the entire hour. The ending was absolutely fantastic and really tied everything together in a satisfying way. I absolutely loved this game. Every puzzle was carefully thought out and logical, which made the experience all the more rewarding. It was just a bit of a shame we were left with five padlocks still to unlock—we were so close to completing everything!
Without a doubt, this is my favourite heist-themed game I've ever played. I highly recommend paying Agent Brains a visit to experience it for yourself.
A nice well together room. Everything was well structured and planned out perhaps a little two obvious at times, but an enjoyable experience overall!
A nice room with one particular surprising high tech element which was really fun and worked really well. An awful lot of locks and keys, but some original puzzles that were very satisfying to work through once we had worked out the solution.
Nicely themed, with a good heist ending
This room had strong puzzles and nice set dressing! Really enjoyed the castle theming 🏰
Great Heist Room!
This room was fantastic and a great surprise - not much I can fault at all! Hosting was superb, the attention to detail in the room itself was great with superb theming, and there was a lot of puzzles to do with great variety to each. Wasn’t expecting to like this one as much as I did! Definitely among my favourites!
Another fun room from the masterminds of Agent Brains - there's definitely a key memorable moment for me in this game. The puzzles whilst on the simpler side were fun to complete but at times felt a touch repetitive which was a shame.
I'll start off this review by saying I don't normally like heist style games but I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The signposting for all of the puzzles was excellent and having a clear system for knowing which puzzles you had done / had left to do was really handy. The puzzles were hugely mixed from simple observation to maths to dexterity. Everything felt super immersive and we were chuffed to have robbed all but 5 items by the time we made our escape!
Really fun room. Kept us both busy and rarely needed a hint. Would recommend this - it is a good room and very enjoyable lots of puzzles to solve.
A great set and exciting journey through the space. Game let down by extremely weak/repetitive puzzles.
I really loved this room. So much fun and not like any other rooms I have played before. Probably best suited to a larger group but we played in a 2 and still had a great time. Amazing!
This was a collection style room with I imagine nearly all groups not having enough time to complete all of the puzzles it was a challenge to collect as much loot as possible and escape close to the 60 minutes. For the amount of content in the room it was great to see such a variety of puzzles from observation to a little more challenging thinking needed. The room could easily manage a large group and almost felt that you need more people to really make the most of all that was available to do at the same time. I would recommend to anyone that loves a challenge of lots to do and keeping busy for a full 60 minutes and find they normally finish with time to spare.
We really enjoyed this room. Lots of original puzzles. Loved the theming of this room and we got to choose our very own soundtrack! Fun room.
We did this escape room as a family (with 13 & 15 year olds) and really enjoyed it. The 80s theme was really well done and there were some lovely touches that made the whole thing original (especially the soundtrack to the whole experience). As others have said, it's clear the designers here put a lot of thought and effort into it.
We will definitely be back to try the other two games.
This is probably the only room ive done (ive not done loads but enough to spot a trend) that actually looks like what it is supposed to be. They say its a 1980s teenagers bedroom, and thats exactly what it looks like. The music is great, the room is very well looked after.
The whole thing is very padlock orientated, lots of codes and keys. A good ending too.
Having said that, I feel it would be virtually impossible to finish this with zero help from the GM. There is some moments that are just so out there that I don't think you would ever work out how to start a puzzle without some guidance.
Will be back for the other rooms soon.
The theming was brilliant 80s music (really lovely touch choose your own mix tape).
Some nice puzzles to challenge how you think. Several cool surprises.
Host was brilliant.
Enjoyed this and will be back.
Completed this game with hubby and our 12 and 8 year old daughters. This was our 11th escape room and we all loved it! It was very family friendly with many components that the girls could complete too. One of our favourite escape rooms so far and the staff were very enthusiastic and friendly which is always a bonus. Can't wait to try their other rooms!
Love what they've created in this game and the ability to choose the soundtrack to play to was a huge plus! Some really good, clever puzzles where a strong attention to detail helps. Very enthusiast friendly game.
We had a great time playing at this company, clearly ran by enthusiasts! It may not be mind blowing, but they do offer some really solid games. They definitely attempt to deliver an experience that enthusiasts will enjoy as well as cater to the general public. I wish them the best of success with their business and I think they deserve it.
Really well crafted room with a great range of puzzles and fun theming. Excellent hosting by escape room enthusiasts with a warm welcome and recommendations for other great games to visit. Well worth a visit to beautiful Letchworth to play all three of their excellent rooms! Also some great places nearby to refuel between rooms.
Like the other rooms here, there was a lot to do which is a great challenge for a team of 2 like us or a larger group of less experienced escapers. We found this the easier of the three rooms at Agent Brains, but no less fun.
Lab rooms have been done time and time again so it was refreshing to see a new and unique take on the theme.
As always the rooms looked brand new and are clearly well kept with great attention to the reset. The hosts here were great again and we really cannot fault them. We really hope they can expand with some new rooms in the near future.
We were keen to do another Agent Brains room after we finished off Back to the 80s, and this one did not disappoint.
Lovely hosts who clearly care about building a genuinely good and memorable experience.
The room was well maintained (as with the other room we did previously), and the reset is obviously undertaken with care. We will absolutely return to take on the lab. Hoping for more from them in the future.
A really enjoyable theme. Very slick and well maintained room. Loved the music. The use of tech was good in this room and thematically appropriate. The GM was clearly very passionate and wanted us to have the best experience possible. We will be back to do their other rooms.
Great value off peak first visit to Agent Brains - 80s theming and props were spot on and the option to choose your own mixtape of 80s music was an excellent touch. Great hosting by enthusiasts - we'll be back to try the other two rooms soon!
