New UK escape rooms February 2025

By | February 28, 2025

Winter is ending, and new escape rooms are popping up like snowdrops pushing up through the cold earth (except probably with a lot more hard work from the designers, these things don’t grow themselves you know). Here’s the list of new UK games for February:

Greater London

πŸ”’ I’m pretty sure Room Lockdown open as many new rooms in a year as all the other London venues put together. Their latest is lab horror game Escape The Clinic.

Southeast England

πŸ”’ I completely missed Immersion Escape Rooms opening in Alton, Hampshire. They originally opened with bomb defusal game Detonate and now have a second room, Portal.

πŸ”’ Escape Plan LIVE in Chatham (not the Escape Plan in central London) swapped out CSI: Killer Twist for one of their classic designs, What The Dickens; and also opened new room The Witching Hour.

πŸ”’ The Panic Room have a couple of new games on the way at their Entertainment Centre in Gravesend. These are intended as “accessible entry-level experiences perfect for first-timers”; the first is Time Raiders – Blackbeard’s Missing Map, available from late March.

Channel Islands

πŸ”’ Guernsey’s MTG Escapes have a new game in a minivan with a cute theme; in Chloe’s Camping CATastrophe! you’re trying to conceal your many cats.

Southwest England

πŸ”’ Salisbury Escape Rooms is back open after a brief hiatus while they built their new room; and the new room has the rather delightful name A Case of Murder and Marigolds.

πŸ”’ Housetrap in Bodmin have gone for a much darker theme with serial killer room Killjoy. Interestingly, it’s listed as a 45-70min variable time experience. I’m not sure whether that means ‘it’s a 70min game but you might escape faster than that’, or something else such as a possible sudden death ending.

πŸ”’ Excape in Exmouth have a new outdoor city trail style game, Moriarty’s Tourist Trip.

Wales

πŸ”’ One of two new branches of Houdini’s to open this month, Swansea sees the chain open with two familiar rooms (Captain Blackheart’s Curse and Escape From Alcatraz) and one entirely new design, The Lost Pharaoh.

πŸ”’ New at PanIQ Rooms Wales is The Basement Conspiracy, where you’re ‘retrieving’ loot from the basement of an elderly bank robber; this is a score based collection style room.

πŸ”’ Beyond Breakout have a new outdoor tablet-based experience; Blackout gives you two hours to restore the city’s power supply following a malicious hack.

West Midlands

πŸ”’ Rockstar Swan Song has moved from Top Escape Rooms to sister venue Kidderminster Escape Rooms.

Also new, from last month’s update:
πŸ”’ Alderford Escape Islands (Whitchurch): The Frozen Voyage, The Traveller’s Rest
πŸ”’ The Puzzle Room Cannock: Area 51: Alien Invasion, Game Over, Heist at 30,000 feet, Murder Mystery: Murder at the Station

East Midlands

πŸ”’ Break Escape’s newest game in Nottingham is Dead Man’s Chest. This pirate game is played in a themed room but is entirely contained in a single chest; it’s also available as a portable hire experience.

πŸ”’ From next week Escape Leicester will be running a fourth room at their newer Market St location; in Submarine you’re investigating Nemo’s abandoned submarine.

Also new, from last month’s update:
πŸ”’ Escape Leicester: Alice in Leicesterland
πŸ”’ Escapologist (Cleethorpes): Mafia Heist

East of England

πŸ”’ For three months only, Escape Rooms Suffolk are running wintry-themed Jack Frost & the Stolen Golden Egg. Going by this company’s track record, this may be one well worth making an effort to catch.

πŸ”’ Keylock Games in Wickford will open next week Madame Costello’s Fortune Telling Parlour – gain access to the mystic’s inner sanctum to prove you’re worthy of having your fortune read.

πŸ”’ Norwich Escape Rooms, which is the same venue as Norwich VR, has opened a second physical room alongside Neanderthal; the new one is Jack The Ripper.

Also new, from last month’s update:
πŸ”’ Cluetopia Braintree: Curse of the Lost Temple

Northwest England

πŸ”’ Cliffhanger in Backbarrow have replaced Bank Vault Heist with an updated heist room, Bank Diamond Heist.

πŸ”’ And The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire has a new entry in their selection of 10 min bite-sized games; this one is Pirate Plunder.

Yorkshire & the Humber

πŸ”’ The second new Houdini’s this month is in Dewsbury outside Leeds, and has opened with three of the chain’s staple rooms: Captain Blackheart’s Curse, Creepy Carnival, and Escape From Alcatraz.

πŸ”’ Escape Hull have opened one of the chain’s classic designs, Escape the Seven Seas.

πŸ”’ Eskape Whitby replaced The Night Watchman with a new sequel version, The Night Watchman Returns.

πŸ”’ New at Paradox Escape in Bradford is spy mission Agent X: The Classified Escape.

πŸ”’ Quest For Atlantis opened at The Great Escape Game Sheffield in November, and is now also running at their Leeds location.

Northeast England

πŸ”’ Another new company that opened in late 2024, The Escape Lounge is in Ashington and has two games, The Detective Room and The Horror Room.

Scotland

πŸ”’ Bloodwood Cabin is the latest at Ayrshire’s Game Vault, in which you need to solve a murder mystery and escape from a cabin before the culprit returns.
