New UK escape rooms December 2025

By | December 31, 2025

Whether you’re digesting mince pies or getting ready to party in the new year, here’s a quick run-down of December’s new escape rooms:

Greater London

πŸ”’ Probably the biggest news for London the whole year, and somehow I didn’t include it in last month’s update: clueQuest opened their fifth game, IAMAI. This features a rogue AI, an oversized Lego brick and a whole lot of technology.

πŸ”’ In Camden, it looks like Mazer Zone have availability in their booking calendar for their third room Demon’s Domain from tomorrow.

South East England

πŸ”’ Dream Vault is a new company in Reading, one of the UK’s escaping capitals; they’re launching with Smuggler’s Grove, which is set inside a child’s dream of pirate treasure.

Also new, from last month’s update:
πŸ”’ Absolutely Escapes Maidenhead: Professor Blackthorne’s Final Invention

Last call for:
❗️ Puzzalogical Escape Rooms (Bracknell): The Secret of the Vault (closing 11th Jan)

South West England

πŸ”’ Bolted Escape Rooms opened in Saint Austell back in April, but I hadn’t spotted it until now: they currently have two games, It’s Not Fair and No Honour Among Thieves.
πŸ”’ Firmly entrenched as Bath’s most recommended venue, Tempo have now launched their second room, Raiders of the Lost Art – no, that’s not a typo.

Wales

πŸ”’ Escape Rooms Cardiff have revamped their horror room Oculus, and the new version is Oculus 2 – Harold’s House. I’m not certain to what extent the game content has been changed.
πŸ”’ Also in Cardiff, Puzzled Escape Rooms are due to open spaceship-themed Going Up in mid-January.

East Midlands

πŸ”’ Escape Coalville’s new room Arctic Mayday has a wintry theme – note that this is the same design previously available from Trapp’d as 46 Below.
πŸ”’ Right on time for panto season, Tension Twisted Realities in Lincoln updated their New Theatre Royal – Snow White room to New Theatre Royal Room – Robin Hood. (Oh no they didn’t! Oh yes they did!)

Last call for:
❗️ Rushden Escape Rooms: Retro (closing 31 Jan)

East of England

πŸŽ„ A belated addition to the Xmas games list from Angle Escape in Peterborough, with Candy Cane – The Vault.

North West England

πŸŽ„ The Escaporium Liverpool also opened a Christmas game that didn’t make last month’s list; theirs is Snowbody’s Home.

Also new, from last month’s update:
πŸ”’ Houdini’s Escape Room Experience Warrington: Apocalypse: Shelter 23, Captain Blackheart’s Curse, Sneaky Finders

Last call for:
❗️ Compendium Escape Rooms (Bury): UI-55 (closing 28 Feb)

Yorkshire and the Humber

πŸ”’ Escape Room Scarborough replaced War Room with Spyfall: War Room 2. They also have a non escape room experience Traitor, based of course on the TV show, opening in late Jan.
πŸ”’ The Leeds branch of The Escapologist replaced Sherlocked In with a different deduction room, CLU3D0.

Last call for:
❗️ Escape Rooms Beverley: The Great Chimney Escape (closing 31 Jan)

North East England

πŸ”’ In Sunderland, The Strategy opened a sweetly-themed new game, with The Chocolate Factory.

Scotland

πŸ”’ And Escape Stirling have also opened a new room: in The Bunker, where your shelter from the apocalypse might turn out to be less safe than expected.
