The Mystic Temple is a short-term pop-up escape room in Hereford, and I sincerely hope it becomes a permanent fixture. I really enjoyed the experience from start to finish.
Given that it’s a temporary setup, I wasn’t expecting the elaborate set pieces you often find in long-established escape rooms. However, what was there felt thoughtfully designed and thematically consistent, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere throughout.
The puzzles were well thought out, logical, and satisfying to solve — even our nine-year-old managed to crack a few of them! None of the challenges relied on wild guesses or leaps of logic, which made the whole experience feel rewarding rather than frustrating.
The room itself is relatively minimalistic, so there’s not a lot of rummaging through drawers or furniture, but that simplicity keeps the focus firmly on the puzzles. The host was absolutely wonderful — friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about providing a great experience.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do next. If they decide to stay and expand with more rooms, I’ll definitely be back. In the meantime, I’ll be checking out their other location in Worcester to keep the adventure going.
