Really enjoyed this game and played it on the standard setting. Having already played their other game the forest it was great to to give this a go. The story was quite harrowing and again loved the way they use film and characters. The setting for this game looked amazing and enjoyed playing.
The puzzles were less difficult than the forest however very clever and enjoyed exploring the setting.
This was our first ever online escape room! It was enjoyed by all of us and not too difficult! We all really felt like we had accomplished something! π! Would highly recommend!
We loved the immersive element of this game! The production value and interactive map meant we could travel to different locations and have what we needed in the journal. Kept us guessing and working together as a team with varied puzzles! Perfect for our turn to host couples' game night!
I've played a lot of real world escape rooms and a few virtual escape rooms (a couple of rooms from trapped in the web), but I must say the production value on this one was great. A beautifully written story, as well as the bonus of having some recorded narration, which is something I've never seen in a virtual escape room!
This game is styled at being easier so we weren't expecting a tough challenge, but the puzzles were fun and we enjoyed how interactive they were. It took us 42 minutes because we really wanted to take our time and read all the letters, clues and listen to the narration.
We highly recommended this for anyone who wants a great story, with some immersion and fun puzzles! Looking forward to the next one
This was pretty short. We took our time reading over things but the puzzles themselves were relatively easy. The puzzles were fine and this game worked well over screenshare.
The voice acting however, was TERRIBLE. There was no emotion, emphasis or effort whatsoever. The people reading clearly were not actors (that's fine, they don't always have to be) but didn't even try to convey any sense of story or emotion. Therefore we were not invested in, what should have been, a fairly interesting storyline.
I hope they try harder for their next one.
This game was ok for a short game, but not worth Β£9.99
The puzzles were ok, simple but worked well in terms of interface and completion.
The voice acting for the video and audio scripting was very poor. They felt as though whomever was recording them had simply been told 'read this aloud' and then the first recording taken for use. Very little or no emotion in the delivery of what was meant to be a blood-chilling, heart-breaking tale of murder and revenge. It might as well have been reading instructions on putting together a set of shelves. There were also several 'bumps' in the recordings where a line was stumbled over or paused at (which indicated the actor in question was taking a second to understand the content). This was certainly the biggest let-down of the experience, as a better vocal delivery would have at least drawn me into the tale. As it was, this left me somewhat cold and harking back to free games that I enjoyed far more.
Hopefully their next offering will improve on these issues.
It was OK. It was very, very SHORT. I understand that this was designed to be an "easy" game, but it would be better value if there were enough puzzles to keep you busy for longer.
