cleverstory-drivengreat hosting

We played this with a large team of co-workers around the globe. Our excellent host, Jordan, managed our breakout rooms effortlessly. We were all able to play with no technical issue despite being in 4 different countries. Our team is still talking about it and will likely continue to reflect fondly on our experience for some time.

entertaining

Great flow of puzzles and a good story that also explained why we were doing puzzles :).

We would have loved that this was a more timeconsuming room - it felt a bit quick to us. We were entertained all the way and also had an aha-moment that was funny to us.

The intro was a bit long and it felt like we spent a lot of time on the story. This was both good and bad - the story was good, but we are puzzle-people and would have liked more puzzles.

All in all - a good online escape room using telescape as the platform. It worked for us.

We had never done an Escape Room before, and did this with a small group of people that didn't know each other well. We liked that it was more interactive than your typical 'point and click' experience, and the tips were helpful as well (for newbies that were a little out of their depth!). Thank you!

Very basic room - probably better in person. Wasn't hugely impressed by the avatar who seemed a bit lack lustre and basically gave us a lot of the answers which was frustrating.

A pretty run of the mill game.  The set is just an office, with nothing really imaginative or unusual about the design.  We found the way that our avatar was filming was fairly annoying--she had to keep putting the camera down every time she needed two hands, so we didn't actually get to see a bunch of the action.  Also, because she was carrying the camera around, there was a fair amount of swooping about, which was a bit nauseating.  There were some clever puzzles and elements in the room.  But the most frustrating part was the ending was a big "ho hum".  This is apparently intended to be the first of 4 related rooms, so the end result moved the story forward, but not to a very satisfying conclusion.

The Detective’s Office is a fun little game that you can play digitally from anywhere in the world for a fraction of the price of the in-person physical room. We really enjoyed playing it – it’s high quality and enjoyable, something we expect from all Mystery Mansion Regina experiences by now. Furthermore, we also got this game at a discount cost as they were running a special promotional weekend for it, and so the value for money for us at least was absolutely exceptional.

An office space is unlikely to blow you away with its set design, but solid puzzles and great games mastering makes this a fun family-friendly experience
