Extremely easy and short - about 25 minutes of playtime.  At 20 pounds that's a steep price: five pounds would be more reasonable.

Did the Sherlock - not so merry Christmas a while ago which was brilliant. Very disappointed at this one tho. A waste of money!

This was our first online game when everything shut down in 2020. It was a bit crazy with regards to navigation (we ended up with over 20 tabs open in a browser). Videos were quite good but remember it was quite disjointed. It put us off doing others for quite a while.

This is a purely web-based, straightforward linear game, set around the premise of solving a murder mystery on a plane. The puzzles are very much on the easy end of the spectrum, and the visual presentation is functional but far from outstanding. When compared to the experience of the best escape room games, tabletop, or videogames, this game wouldn't normally even get noticed....

.....BUT, these are strange times we're living in. At the time of writing this review, much of the world is still in Coronavirus lockdown, confined to our own homes, and only able to socialise with our friends and family "virtually", over Zoom and other videochat systems. As such, what's needed is something comforting - an accessible distraction to provide an evening's entertainment - and for that, this game is ideal. It doesn't have complex technical requirements (no printing, no QR codes, no advanced web technologies - it will work fine on any old phone/tablet/PC), it doesn't tax the brain much, so is ideal for playing with family or friends who might not be so familiar with Escape Room puzzles, the linearity keeps everyone on the team focussed on the relevant puzzles, and it doesn't take too long (around 1hr), so it's possible to maintain engagement throughout.

It's the escape room equivalent of watching "Murder, she wrote" - an un-taxing murder mystery you can solve in your slippers with a cup of tea with friends.

Solid puzzles, nice website. Just lacked the normal panic room charm.. wonder if they purchased it from another company?

Wanted to see what all the excitement was. Still trying to work it out. Not worth Β£20. Should just be a free.

First of The Panic Room's several CSI games, and one of the first online games to be released after the lockdown, Grounded is a murder mystery on a plane: one of the passengers collapsed mid-flight, apparently due to foul play.

The game's initial page lays out photos of all the items which you'll unlock in the course of solving it, as a kind of overview, and also as an aide to keeping track of where you're up to and navigating between previous stages if you need to refer back. This was a helpf...

If you’re looking for a game to introduce someone to the world of online escaping, CSI: Grounded is a good choice, with a few β€œeasy win” puzzles, bolstered by a few more difficult tasks to keep things interesting.

The story… A murder, a mystery. The suspects 30,000 feet in the air. Someone killed Avery Stone on flight 9201 – but who and how? Everyone on board is a suspect. Solve your way through the clues, unravel the mystery and find the killer.

We have a really enjoyable evening playing CSI: Grounded. Although not a overly taxing game mentally, it was tough enough to feel you had to work for your victory. We look forward to the other games The Panic Room are working on.
