A good room, shame its closing. Theming in one area is a little off, it felt a bit like a kids play room. Some good magic moments though, in keeping with the theme.

A fun game! Using magic props throughout making for some really interesting puzzles! Quite difficult, but once we got going we were away! A lot to do in the room for a Team of 2! But still a brilliant game! Just need to be constantly on your toes and not get too comfortable at any point throughout like we did a few times.

A corker of a room that just keeps on going! So many super puzzles and a lovely combination of linear and non-linear gameplay, meaning that there is plenty to do together and plenty to break off and tackle independently.
It was so nice to do a magic room that wasn't related to a certain boy-wizard (although we love those too) and it offered a different kind of magic that is interactive in some instances and forms well-themed puzzles in others.
GMs here are always an absolute delight and it's somewhere we would travel across the country for, as the puzzles are plentiful and the welcome is warm.
This room has so much to offer!! Itβs quite a difficult room as there are so many puzzles but I loved this! It was the hardest room we have played but it flowed brilliantly and everyone was always doing something. We didnβt stop the whole time. Some puzzles were a little challenging and we did require some help with a couple of them but never felt defeated by that. Lots of locks which I love π
Hosts were fabulous as always. Great communication which was clear and quick when we asked for it.

Had a fantastic time doing this. Plenty to do and was fairly non-linear so a larger group would definitely be kept busy. It was challenging for a group of 3. Some puzzles we hadnβt seen before, which is rare after 90+ games!
Did this straight after their Sweeney Todd room which weβd loved and this was even better

Hell yeah! Our favourite at Xscape Now, this room has loads to offer. It seems endless, and there was always multiple puzzles that people could get on with. It took 5 of us 56 mins to complete, and once you gain entry to the last portion it really ups the immersiveness. The set decoration was cool and the tasks mostly kept in theme. Out of the handful of magic-themed rooms weβve completed, this would be the best. Top 10 after 40 odd rooms so far.
I only realised after Iβd booked it, but Iβd played this room before - back in 2016, when it was The Book of Secrets at Clue Adventures in London. At the time I found it very impressive, and it was one of my standard recommendations for London rooms, but that was the better part of a decade ago and escape rooms have advanced a great deal since - would it stand up to current standards, and would I even be able to play it without remembering too many spoilers?
Fortunately the latter wasnβt a pro...
