Out of the blue you receive a letter from Farnsbarns, Grommit and Sedge, solicitors to the aristocratic Cunningham family. The letter says you have been identified as a distant relation of the last of the family, Sir Henry Cunningham.
Sir Henry was a strange, reclusive character who is rumoured to have unearthed an amazing secret during his travels in Africa.
The letter invites you to the mysterious South Lodge, which is all that remains of the once grand estate of the Cunningham family. There Sir Henry has left challenges that you must overcome to prove yourself worthy of being considered an heir.
Can you follow the trail of clues in Sir Henry’s old study, solve the puzzles and overcome the challenges to learn something of his amazing discovery and prove yourself a worthy heir? You have an hour to succeed.

Loved Bob our host got so much more than an escape room experience as he is a fascinating gent. Loved the room, brilliantly put together and would highly recommend.

There's a real sense of exploration here, elements of the room may seem daunting when you first get in there but it holds more than one surprise.  Another non-linear game with people able to work on different puzzles.  There is a central puzzle that I think could do with being slightly clearer as to what you have to do as to tore through the room until we encountered that but its still a great room and very much worth your time.

A great room that begins the story of 'Sir Henry Cunningham' at Kanyu, and we really enjoyed it! A good number of puzzles throughout, and a nice use of props too. Tasha, our host, was brilliant too; she helped us with the odd clue when we were getting slightly confused and gave a really good debrief afterwards which we really appreciated, always nice to discuss the rooms afterwards!

Excellent room first game I introduced my family too. Who loved it!! Bob as always was a brilliant host, even bringing my mum in a sneaky cuppa and chair when she was unable to proceed due to her mobility.

A really tough room for 2 people. Full of well thought out puzzles, hard puzzles but no logic leaps required and some great lighbulb moments to be had.

The room more to it that meets the eyes.

The host is great and this is clearly a labour of love

Although we played the Kanyu games out of order, Follow In My Footsteps is their first game and the best one to start with, both for narrative reasons and because it's a little easier than the one that comes after it. The game's premise is that you are distant relations of the recently deceased Sir Henry Cunningham, famed explorer, gathered at his mansion in answer to his posthumous request and tasked with delving into some of the secrets of his life.

This is explained in the booking confirmati...

The highlight of a 20-game New Year's Eve trip, Lightning in a Bottle is filled with good harder-than-average puzzles, fun theatre and a pretty set.
It is clearly a labour of love and the room itself did not disappoint.  Set up as a gentleman’s study, it has plenty of eye-candy, and the mostly vintage-feel puzzles fit perfectly

Despite first appearances, this room wasn’t a series of trying keys in keyholes. In fact, the variety of puzzles and input methods was impressive to say the least. Combined with the top-notch set design, I can definitely see why it’s rated top in Leeds!
