first time I'd ever played an escape game. You think you're entering a "normal" office.Clever and really well hidden elements and puzzles. This game, ever since, has immersed me into the world of escape games.
This was the very first escape room I did, where it all began. Naturally I loved it. It was also a very close escape, with our team getting out in the last few seconds.
In retrospect, it was a fairly old-fashioned style of room, with not a lot of theming, heavy use of locks and codes, and some rather over-used puzzle types - although to be fair, they're over-used because other rooms have copied them from Hint Hunt and other pioneers.
That said, it's still a good, well-designed room, and still ...
Outside the room Several months had passed since I'd last visited Hint Hunt, and, frankly, not much had changed. Same OK, but not inspiring venue. Same crowded waiting area. The hosts make you feel welcome though, so while it's not an amazing experience, it's perfectly passable. I'd come with two rooms' worth of people this time, Read More"
They say you never forget your first time. And while that may be true, they never ask you to write 500 words on it three years after the fact. While I remember a little about the room, perhaps the most frustrating thing is that I donβt remember how I found out about it. At the time HintHunt were the only escape room in the entire country, and there was little to no press coverage, yet somehow Iβd happened upon their website, and decided the idea was cool enough to be something I very much wanted to try. After convincing a couple of friends of the same, a new obsession was born.
