An enjoyable room with a great theme. A more linear game so less chance to split up as a team and work through puzzles. Great hosting with some added humour when it took us a while to figure out one of the puzzles.
The lab theme has been done to death but compendium just do it so well! Unique, fun puzzles with a great mix of physical and mental types. One of my fave puzzles I've ever done was in this room. Brilliant non-linear game so everyone always has something to do!
A really decent, solid lab-themed room with lots of lovely puzzles and some cool physical features that got the adrenaline going!
One really frustrating puzzle that used up a chunk of time but this is a quality offering that we really enjoyed.
CLever lab style game. Few quirky elements. Partly physical aswell as mental. Some easy puzzles that you still slip up on. Not completely linear but enough for you to still work together. Highly recommended
Fun lab themed room with good flow and nice hosting. Few too many combination number locks for my liking but otherwise had a good time!
Fun Lab!
This was my second of two rooms as part of a Compendium double-bill.
Story
Steal a top secret antidote from a lab, but don’t get trapped in.
Puzzles
The puzzles here were very interactive and engaging. There was an exciting focus on teamwork, which really added to the experience. I was sometimes distracted by how much fun I was having!
Mise-en-scene
A machine-filled laboratory with some unique twists, and a sassy voiceover robot offering help.
Final Comments
Our host was very friendly and conscious of how much help we did (or didn’t!) want. We had about 5 minutes left after escaping this one.
Brilliant set design! These guys really know how to make you feel immersed. Clever puzzles. The downside being that there was not a huge range of puzzles, most used combination number locks. Heard they are removing this room which may have been why some elements were missing.
Loved it - full of fun puzzles, brilliant clue system, very linear and good use of tech. Shame it's going soon.
A fantastic game that is really on theme throughout.
Although there are quite a padlocks in this room, there is also a fair bit of practicality which blends to form a great mix. Escape room meets Crystal Maze.
The puzzles were fun and plentiful with a very clever and humorous hint system .
I would highly recommend all 3 games at Compendium

It’s a premise both classic and rather topical: with a deadly disease spreading across the world, you must break into a laboratory to find the antidote. (There may well have been a good explanation for why the lab isn’t just releasing the antidote without any theft being necessary, but if that was covered in the briefing then I missed it…)
Lab is not Compendium’s oldest game, but visually looks like it might be, in that it’s the plainest of the four, probably because the theme lends itself to l...
When we entered the lab we found ourselves in a relatively large, clean room with plenty of sciencey artifacts lying around. The premise is simple; locate and recover the antidote for the deadly pandemic that is ravaging the planet (I swear this was launched long before Covid). We immediately split up and started searching for clues, locating a number of interesting items and numbers dotted about. The decor in the room was great – it played into the theme and there quite multiple times when something which initially appeared to be a prop turned into a key puzzle!
