Incredible room, the theme and attention to detail crafting the room is brilliant. Host was a pleasure, Burt. Only issue we found was at the start, a video tells you to ignore a lock on a desk, it must be full of electrics for the room, but it made us discount that desk draws entirely, turns out we needed to open the draw next to this one! Brilliant room though, suspect some will find it very challenging but it flowed well for our team and we had a great time, already planning our next weekend away back here to do a few of their rooms it was that good!
This game is a lot of fun! Theming is very much on point and there are some good hands-on puzzles. There is a LOT to do in this room though so inexperienced players or smaller teams may want to consider a larger team!
This room favours smaller teams as some spaces are small and larger teams will fall over each other, but its a great room to play as there is a good variety of puzzles, and lots of 'doing' so teams an divide into those who solve and those who do. The production is excellent and really does look like a 1980s bunker, and the narration works excellently with the puzzles.
A strong room with impressive set design and puzzles we've not seen anywhere else.
For some reason both the escape game venues currently open in central Cambridge use room designs from Hungarian company TRAP. I played most of the TRAP games in Budapest some years ago, but Armageddon is one of the designs that didn't exist at that time, so I happily booked in to try it when passing through town. I remembered the Budapest TRAP rooms as as solid and slick mass-market games, but then they were some of the first escape rooms I ever played, so I didn't have much to compare them to....
The less experienced escapers in our team found the room to be a lot of fun, but those with a few more escapes under our belt were left a little underwhelmed. Thereβs a nice variety of puzzles but itβs a pretty short experience and a very crowded one with seven players.
