An absolutely incredible escape room. The design was superb, and the warm-up puzzles led wonderfully to the escape room. Theming was perfect and puzzles linked incredibly well to this theme. There was a main goal with side quests. We managed to complete all of these in the time and were kept busy and playing for almost the full hour. Incredible attention to detail. A wonderful room.
We did this as a 2 and the game is quite new so there may be some alterations.
Overall, we liked this set - some of the puzzles were very original (we loved how the door opened in game - without giving anything away) and how you kill the Kraken!
We struggled a bit with one puzzle which was frustrating but I guess part of the escape room experience. We also only had time to get about half of the ‘side quest’ gold which possibly took the shine off us completing the room.
This is probably one the more advanced players will get more out of, but some of the puzzles and mechanisms are so unique, I’m sure many people will get a lot out of this room and enjoy the game. Probably better played in a larger group than 2 as there are lots of side puzzles to be getting on with as well as the main quest.
