We were recommended to try Katrina after playing La Taberna, which was an absolutely mind-blowing escape room experience. Katrina did not disappoint.
It is a beautiful masterpiece. You start in a cantina in Mexico and become involved with the cartels. The world gradually opens up as you discover Mexican culture, the Day of the Dead, and eventually get to feel like Indiana Jones as you uncover Mayan artefacts and the secrets they hold.
Katrina is definitely among the most impressive and immersive escape rooms I have ever tried.
Our host, Laura, did an amazing job, both with the acting and with taking care of us throughout the experience.
We had 2 hours to solve Katrina, but because we were only two people, they gave us around 2.5 hours instead. It's quiet difficult but I felt we had a really good flow in the puzzles especially in the first half.
I love these kinds of escape rooms because they make you feel as if you are inside a movie or a video game. Simply amazing.
We wanted to try even more escape rooms from Elements, but sadly we did not have the time.
Although the set design was beautiful, we truly did not click with this room. We never tend to with Egyptian rooms and took a gamble when booking this. This room has clearly been made with love but we felt the puzzles were lacking logic and felt frustrated at times. Also, we found the most exciting space to be unused and only caught a glimpse of it was was disappointing (without giving too much away). The potential is there is the puzzles are reconsidered/polished.
