We really enjoyed this game! It only takes place in one office room, but that didn't impact it at all for us - still lots to find and interact with physically and via a computer interface. Even more impressively this is the same space used for Deep Cover but it felt very different as a game, because of how the story unfolded and how it used the space in quite a different way.
It made good use of Case Closed's signature style of asking questions to ensure you genuinely understood what going on in the story and had used your brain to think about it!
If you're in Edinburgh, absolutely do Radio Nowhere and Murder of Max Sinclair as a higher priority than this game but this game is great value and still felt like a proper escape room. This game had a particularly great physical real-science-based interaction and a surprisingly high octane ending.
Case Closed have a clever new concept and it's not like anything we have seen before. There is a room and there is a case to solve... but saying anything more would reveal a little too much.
There is plenty to keep busy with and, as with all of their games, you get out what you put in. It's a very tricky one to rate, as it's not a classic escape room, but all of the elements are there for a very involved, puzzle-solving experience and the scope for variation is huge... We'll be watching carefully for future games!
Don't go expecting padlocks but do go expecting to embrace your inner sleuth and think outside the box!
A unique escape room experience, and one I'd be keen to explore again in future! The office setting was well designed, with great tech integration, fantastic writing, all refreshingly original in the escape room landscape. I can't wait to explore the next Brief Case!

So cool. I love the concept and I desperately want Case Closed to make more of these. I want to play hundred of them, and I want to collect little badges along the way (not a thing they do yet, but I think I’m going to type it out in the hopes they read this review and go “yeah you know what we do need little badges” so I can add to my unwieldy escape room badge collection). As a first game of this style, it’s not perfect, but it’s incredibly promising for what the genre and format can do in the future and as an innovation, I’m excited.
