My dear, sweet Mary passed away when she was just 9 years old Every night I am plagued by flashbacks The drive home Intense, blinding light The sound of screaming metal Her body, bloodied, huddled in my arms I remember, between shallow breaths, her quietly saying “I just want to go home, Mummy”
Despite the Doctors’ attempts to save her life, Mary’s body gave up in the hospital bed at 3:33am It was just the two of us, as it always has been Holding back tears, I held her hand, kissed her on the forehead and headed for the door
And then she spoke…..“I just want to go home, Mummy”

As fantastic as Dean's rooms are, when he GM's, the entire experience becomes 100% more terrifying! The set is creepy, the scares come from EVERYWHERE. Definitely some of the scariest escape rooms in the UK

Fantastic escape room! After doing close to 100 escape rooms. This is up there in my top 3, possibly my favourite. The host was very friendly and was such a good games master. The room was extremely good. I’ve never been scared in an escape room before, but I was VERY close in this one. One point, I did jump a little, but I genuinely don’t get scared. The person I was with though, was very scared 😂. The room was very well thought out and the puzzles weren’t too hard to understand, but you needed to think about it! I would highly recommend this escape room, and I will definitely be back to do more rooms here. Amazing!

Very good story, immersive escape room with a great actor. The difficulty level is good and requires some lateral thinking to solve which adds to the experience. Overall great escape room would definitely recommend.
The best escape room I have ever done. Actors were amazing, story was interesting and gripping, puzzles were good and all together it was well thought out and excuted. Would definitely recommend.
Oh my god I loved it! So clever, a big well done to the owners creativity on this room. Lots of puzzles and locks but they all flowed well. The rooms were huge and looked amazing. The live actor was so creepy and kept you on your toes. Highly recommend this room.

Brilliant scary room! The actor was fantastic with lots and lots of jump scares. The room is very well themed and the puzzles are great and flow well. We would recommend all the rooms at Project Mayham and cannot wait for the next room to be ready!.

The website is brilliant, the room ideas and the blurbs on the website had us excited and nervous! Unfortunately the room didn't live up to the website. We expected the actor to be alot more involved, give us an immersive story driven experience dressed up in character etc, but all we got was a few brief jump scare sightings and bangs. Puzzles were OK but very similar. We expected alot more due to the website, and left feeling disappointed. Huge potential here but need a rethink on some parts and how to incorporate the actor more.
I do like a good independent
room and this was particularly good! Scary rooms are my particular favourite
and since the elderly partner is pretty much impossible to scare we decided to
try Project Mayhem.
First they get a big tick in
the box for the enthusiastic and friendly welcome. The room itself is billed as
8/10 for scares and it certainly lived up to the promise! The setting is very
well themed, large spaces that would lend themselves to larger groups very well
and required comprehensive although not ridiculous amounts of searching. Some
really nice creepy moments coupled with some fairly intense jump scares kept
the adrenaline high but didn’t interfere with the puzzle solving or game flow. A
great variety of puzzles, not too many locks and some great effects too. The fantastic
background audio held the theme together beautifully and built the tension
towards a clear ending. The props were entirely in keeping with the theme and
it is clear that a lot of attention to detail was used in making this room.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and
wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to experienced or first time escapees!
