ExitRoom Krakow- Wonderland

March 2022

Overview

This was our second visit to ExitRoom having just completed the disastrous Sex mission. ExitRoom was a known name across a number of cities in Europe and we were looking forward to our two rooms booked in Krakow. We are glad we booked a second room straight after the first room we had done because the first one was so bad.

The location wasn’t that hard to find although it was down a side street off the main square, it is well signposted. You go up a dark staircase that makes you question your life choices at the time, but once inside, it was big bright and spacious. There is a large waiting area with lockers for your belongings and we were given a quick brief into what we were about to tackle. We were then taken into the room to start and we don’t know whether it was because Sex mission was so bad or whether Wonderland was that good, but we were all really pleasantly surprised with how the room was decorated and what we were walking into.

Room impression

As soon as you walk in, you can see that effort has been put into making this a wonderland, very similar to well known character with a white rabbit. We even stood still and looked around the room for a good few seconds after the game had started because of how well it was decorated and the lower lighting with woodland noises just made us completely immerse ourselves into the experience. Throughout the game, the room continued to deliver in different props and decorations adding to the whole experience.

Puzzles

The puzzles were a really nice combination of locks, hide and seek, codes and games. All of us enjoyed large aspects of the puzzles and at no real point were any of us left watching each other complete tasks. The room was really linear but even with that, there was enough to do for all of us. The room opened up to allow us to spread out even further and the games forced us into separate locations where we had to rely on our communication to progress. The room was a lot of fun.

Game Master Clues

We can’t recall having to ask for help in this room but if we needed it there was a screen in the corner of the room with a timer that would come up with a message if we needed it. However, with our previous experience being so poor with the games master overseeing more than one room, we don’t know how reliable the clue system would have been.

Round Up

We were so glad we tried Wonderland after the disaster of Sex mission previously. Credit to ExitRoom for a truly brilliant room that has remained in our top 5 out of 30 rooms we have tried. The decoration alone is brilliant but the puzzles and flow of the games were really enjoyable and this out faith back in doing more rooms with them on future travels across Europe. If you are in Krakow and you are struggling for which room to pick out of ExitRoom’s selection, we recommend Wonderland!
