The Captcha Code is the first of its kind. An original game that hybrids treasure hunt and escape room, exploring the quaint seaside town of Broadstairs.

You play the role of undercover agents who must complete an important mission. Report to base for your mission briefing and then figure out how to save the world. Visiting hidden locations, interact with local businesses,  and uncover the towns vast history.

Solve unique puzzles around the town and watch as your surroundings come to life. The Captcha Code is the perfect activity designed to be COVID compliant and suit current restrictions. We'll equip you with a custom-built, handheld spy device, a bag of tools and a map. Your adventure is self-guided, with agents on hand if you need any help.

We've turned the town into a giant escape room, so explore and watch the world around you unfold. We expect your mission to last between 2-3 hours however, much like our indoor escape rooms we allow extra time, should you need it, so there's plenty of time to refuel and explore along the way.

Please Note - In the event of bad weather, our good weather guarantee allows tickets to be refunded or rescheduled.

An enjoyable exploration around Broadstairs and learned a few interesting facts as we went round. Very easy in terms of puzzle content but I enjoyed the fact that we had physical items to use / interact with on the way round (even if they didnโ€™t always work!)

Nothing too much to write home about, but there are worse ways to spend a few hours. I like that this wasnโ€™t time pressured either so you can wander round the beautiful surroundings of Broadstairs. Nice materials to use and good use of tech as well. Puzzles are a little easy however. Loses points for the ludicrous price but it is fixed and doesnโ€™t scale with the number of players at least.

This game was recommended by the venue to play as we had some spare time before going into The Quartz.  It is designed as a prequel to The Quartz but is intended to be outdoors.  You follow a clever storyline across a box game, this outdoor game and a physical escape room.  This is something I've never seen before but thought it was very clever and makes the story much bigger and better.  The outdoor game was unexpectedly great fun.  Only 1 of our team had played an outdoor game before and they said it was much better than the ones they had played.  There are small props in the town of Broadstairs with simple but engaging shop window electronics.  We stopped for ice cream and coffee so I think we could have gone faster.  Broadstairs was great to walk around and the route is only 1.7km and mostly accessible for those who are not strong walkers.

Captcha Code is a brilliant way to spend an hour or two exploring the charming town of Broadstairs, and slots perfectly into the interconnected narratives of The Network and WunderWaffe Operation Quartz. But more than that, it is an exceedingly clever, and exciting game full of delightful surprises and pleasing puzzles.
