Woody the Elf is very keen but more than a little clumsy. He has spilt the hot chocolate Mrs Claus made him over the list of gifts in the Elf workshop and needs to work out who has asked for what before Santa loads the sleigh ready for delivery.

Christmas room with a pair of fun, friendly and funny elves, we had just as much fun laughing and joking with our elvish hosts as we did with the puzzles. Some lovely inventive puzzles mixed in with some classics and good use of telescape for putting the codes in makes this a fun family game and perfect for Christmas. Its pitched perfectly for families at Christmas, so enthusiasts may find it alittle short.... But its Christmas, take your time, have a laugh with the elves and just delight in festive puzzles, We loved it.

Played Elfin Mistake last year as an Avatar room and had to come back for this years updated version to see the lovely elves Lorna and Jo. If you played last year you'll find the story, room and telescape interface rather familiar, and maybe one or two of the puzzles too (if you've a good memory) but there's lots of new stuff in there to play. Its a great way to get a festive escape room fix and is perfect to play with newbies or the family.

We had the best time laughing and joking with our Avatar elves who were definitely up for some banter and gave as good as they got... we were having so much of a laugh that we almost ran out of time!
Thanks for the laughs Lorna and Jo, I have missed your madcap mayhem avatar style!

The second of only two Christmas pop-ups I played this year, An Elfin Mistake is available for in-person play, but since I didn’t have the chance to nip over to Wales I played it as a remote avatar game; and on careful consideration, that might actually be the best way to play it.

Like many play from home games, this one uses the Telescape platform. Avatar games began using that as a digital inventory system, to help players keep track of items they found and allow them to view those items more...
