A fun thing to do during Covid. Was a fun experience we could share with friends when we couldn't see themWould recommend to anyone wanting to do something remotely with friends or family.

Nice introduction to online escape rooms. Didn't enjoy the heavy reliance on riddles with google maps too much!

Mr. X challenges you to follow a trail of clues to discover the titular character's true name - effectively the final keyword needed to complete the game.
Mr. X is what I’ll refer to as a ‘first gen’ play at home escape room. I don’t know if that’s the correct terminology, but by this I mean it relies on the relatively low-tech password box on the website. It also relies on the internet to solve each clue – one of the best thing’s about play at home games – your phone isn’t locked in a locker just outside the room. *Gasp* you can Google it!
This was a lot of fun. For most people this will be a good hour of entertainment. It's not the easiest game you will play but it's also not the hardest. It's just clever, free fun! We loved it! You can play the game at https://www.escapedurham.co.uk/mr-x
